Miracle worker during colder months!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has to be one of my favorite products that has been released by cerave and it was a miracle worker through the colder months! I often find through cold spells my skin because very dry and sore around my cheeks and eyes and it can be hard to get on top of! This was a game changer and a little bit went a long way. I applied this before bed and by morning my skin was basically recovered. I also used it on my hands that had become dry and cracked and it soon resolved the issue. I couldn’t be without it now and it’s part of my essentials. Love, love, love this product!

Not the same as USA version

I bought the original version in NY this past summer and it is amazing! glides on easily and when used on the lips leaves a lovely shine and hydrates like nothing else!. This UK/EU formula is not the same, I can't believe how much I paid for this item which is just Vaseline, gloopy, thick, and left a matte look on my lips exactly like OG Vaseline. Very disappointed as I thought this was the same :(

Great multi-purpose repair ointment. Works wonders

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this ointment for a few weeks to see of it would benefit my dehydrated, super dry cracked lips and hands. These two areas are my main concern. The first time I used the ointment I found the ointment to be lightweight and smooth in texture. I applied at night for it to be able to penetrate my skin on my very chapped dry hands and lips. I constantly wash my hands especially at work and use alot of antibacterial hand-gel/wash as part of my work practice and this exacerbates the problem. The ointment applies well and I found that a little goes a long way which is a bonus as the tube seems to last forever even after weeks of use. I also apply a later on my lips which are forever chapped especially in the winter. When I wake up I find the ointment has penetrated so well and my lips and hands feel hydrated and plump. The skin actually looks healthier due to it being hydrated and gave me relief from the very chapped cracked skin. The ointment contains hyaluronic acid and ceramides which is all the rage at the moment and rightly so as these ingredients restore the skin barrier and that is exactly what I needed. I love the fact that the product is so versatile as I have even tried it on dry patches on my leg and also my elbows and knees which often get neglected in my skincare. I definitely recommend this product and have purchased another tube to keep in my handbag so it’s always handy.

Great Ointment.

Just what my hands needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this repair ointment, it works wonders on my dry, chapped hands. Throughout winter, in particular, I suffer badly with dry, chapped and cracked hands and whilst ordinary moisturisers help a bit, I find I am constantly needing to reapply. The CeraVe advanced repair ointment has a thick consistency, which does take a little working in to the skin, but with pharmaceutical-grade petrolatum, hyaluronic acid, 3 essential ceramides, it helps to protect and soothe my dry, sometimes flakey, chapped skin. It can be used on the face and lips too! As it is initially greasy once applied, I would say avoid using mobile phones or laptops etc, for 10-15 mins until it has fully absorbed. The protection and hydration of this ointment puts it on top of the rest, for me 💙

Great product

Brilliant for dry skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very dry skin during the winter and have tried so many products with no luck until I've tried the Advanced Repair Ointment. I like that it can be used on my face, body and lips which makes it a brilliant multi purpose product. I like the packaging - it comes it soft tube which makes it easy to dispense the product. The texture is thick gel like and I only need small amount every time as little goes a long way . I've had dry skin around my nose and it was gone after only 2 days of using this product. Also the skin on my hand used to be very dry and this product really helped. My skin is no longer dry, rough and uncomfortable. It feels like glorified vaseline

This honestly feels like a glorified vaseline and it is a thick rich product. I personally would not buy this as it only really soothes dry skin that has already been moisturised. Fantastic for dry and cracked skin

I get very dry and cracked skin to the point of wounds, especially during the winter season. Works wonders

I suffer from dry skin, especially on my hands and this amazing ointment has done wonders. The almost clear fragrance free ointment is quite thick in consistency yet still applies to the skin with ease. I do find it can be a little greasy when first applied but this soon melts into the skin leaving it super soft and feeling protected. The ointment is somewhat made for winter and is useful as a moisturiser for dry to very dry skin. The texture is quite sticky and a little greasy but not for long as it settles in well. It’s very similar to vaseline as it is thick and heavy. The ointment has been formulated with pharmaceutical-grade Petrolatum, Hyaluronic Acid and 3 Essential Ceramides to help repair skin barrier. The colour of the product is near to clear and white. The ointment keeps skin soft, soothes dry and rough skin, leaving it feeling nourished and fresh for a long period of time. It leaves a glowing look. It can be used on the face, body and lips making it a one for all product. I used it on chapped lips and found it to lock in moisture. There is no strong smell when using it. I liked used it during the night before bed. Overall, the ointment is a thick consistency that doesn’t always feel good on the skin but it is actually best used when skin, e.g. hands are really dry or with chapped lips.

Fabulous ointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a member of the Cerave community I was kindly gifted the advanced repair ointment to test and review This ointment comes in a blue squeeze tube with a click on lid and claims to restore and protect the skin barrier by locking moisture in for extra hydration. You can apply it to your face over your moisturiser, apply it to your lips or even apply it to your body on dry areas like knees, elbows, ankles. I tried this ointment on my lips as my lips were very chapped and after a few days my lips were no longer dry and the chapped skin had healed and my lips were feeling and looking better. I also tried it on my hands and the dry skin on my hands had disappeared and the ointment left my hands feeling smooth and moisturised. It’s a great sized tube and is great for carrying around with you. The ointment does remind me a bit like Vaseline but sometimes Vaseline doesn’t work well on my chapped lips but this worked better and the texture is great. The ointment is lightweight and not very thick but does apply smoothly and isn’t too greasy and doesn’t have much of a scent. You only need a small amount to use. It is formulated with pharmaceutical-grade petrolatum, hyaluronic acid and also 3 essential ceramides which will hydrate and also protect the skin barrier while repairing the skin. A useful standby

I tried to use the Advanced Repair Ointment is as many ways as I could - on my lips, heels, hands, elbows, knees and even some rough patches on my cheeks. The gel-like texture spreads easily and has no noticeable smell. A little goes a long way. It smoothed my dry heels beautifully after I had used it for a few nights in a row. Whilst in my opinion this is not a daily use product I think it is an ideal one to have in your skincare cabinet for those times you have dry patches anywhere on your body. I found nighttime application the most practical (covering the applied areas so that it didn’t rub off) as you then wake up to softened skin. I would definitely recommend keeping a tube handy.

First impressions come win a small blue tube of 50ml and got a lot of information around it on how to apply and what it does and the top is a click open top with a little hole to squeeze the cream out, the cream itself is a white clear looking colour and the texture is very thick. When applying the cream I used my fingers and squeezed a good amount onto my skin all over my face and body, when you rub in the cream it leave a glowy look on your skin make it look shiny, the cream itself doesn’t have any scent to it but it did make my skin feel soothed and hydrated especially on my dry bits. Formulated with hyaluronic acid and 3 essential ceramides .

Great for chapped skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The advanced repair ointment is a pharmaceutical grade petroleum based moisturiser, with three ceramamides and hyaluronic acid to help repair and protect the skin barrier. It comes in a handy size tube with 50mls of product and can easily fit into a handbag/wash bag etc. This is a thick opaque ointment that takes a fair bit of massaging into the skin and whilst it says it is non greasy, it does initially leave a film on the skin, that gradually disappears once it finally absorbs. I wouldn't put it on your hands immediately before picking up your mobile phone or typing on a keyboard! (Yes I did). I found it to be most useful on my hands and lips, which are very dry and cracked through winter. I used this moisturiser at night when I knew I could slather it on and just leave it. There is no fragrance, it is non-comedogenic, has no alcohol and is suitable for dry, very dry and rough or chapped skins. It can be used on the face and body, but I just used it on my hands and lips where I have the most problematic dryness. Overall, I liked the ointment, it does work well on the areas I struggle most with dry, chapped skin and doesn't cause me any irritation.

Very Hydrating

It saved me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ointment saved my life. Anyone who knows, that very dry skin can hurt, will understand me. I suffer with dry skin under my nose for years. To the point that tiny veins break. As soon as I've started using CeraVe ointment regularly, the problem has gone. I carry on applying it every single day to maintain hydrated and protected skin. I love using it in corners and under my eyes along with my usual eye cream in the evening. Many times I cried because of itchy skin on my arms and legs. This repair ointment helped. It is soothing. Finally found something that helps me!

The main issue I had been suffering with was chronic chapped dry lips and nothing would help. However when I tried this overnight, my lips were still soft and supple and weren’t cracked! I was so surprised. I then decided to try it throughout the day as I’d be doing my usual activities and eating and drinking and it still left my lips super soft and hydrated! I’m so happy I’ve been able to use this and will be a staple for me! I also tried this on my arms as I’m always very dry there too and it’s really is so hydrating and made them feel so soft and smooth. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Multi-use dry skin ointment - first impressions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a sample to try. I was initially perplexed as to where to use it but the simple answer seems to be anywhere! It’s early days (only day 4) but so far I’ve used it on my elbows, my lips, my knees, my heels and rubbed the residue into my hands. Basically everywhere my skin feels dry and rough. It has a gel like consistency and a little squeeze of the tube goes a long way. There is no discernible smell which is a big plus for me and it has noticeably improved the my hard heels.

Efficient ointment for dry skin

Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Advanced Repair Ointment from CeraVe for my honest review. This cream is amazing I have very dry skin especially more so in Winter and this does wonders, it really does work. You only need a small amount. It is a thick cream and absorbs well into my skin, it's not greasy or sticky to the touch and there us no irritant to my skin. I am impressed with this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this ointment and feel that it is super hydrating. I have used this on my dry skin and seen a noticeable difference after a few days. It is very oily when applied so would use it over night. I have been using it as a lip balm also and I have to say it's amazing on my lips! My lips have been very dry this winter, I'll use a lip scrub (Lush) and then apply this straight after I use it on my face after a shower too, you only need a small amount. Considering it's an ointment there is no odd smell at all where as oimtents I have tried in the past have had an unpleasent smell. Pros:- It does not irritate my sensitive skin and is very moisturising. It seems to work better than Vaseline jelly. The ointment does not have a strong smell, which is a plus for me. A little goes a long way, and the amount in the tube is very generous. I liked that this is available in a tube instead of a tub (no need to dip into a tub over and over again, potentially contaminating the remaining ointment. Really good product and good for whole family. I recommend it! 👍

Winter saviour

My skin and lips especially get so dry during the winter months so I was keen to try this to see how advanced it really is. I used as per the instructions (after my moisturiser) and used once I came out of the shower too. I do see a difference immediately as my skin and lips feel super hydrated and moisturised.
