I tried many lip products to heal chapped lips. None of them worked. I applied this cream before bed and woke up to the redness around my lips being almost gone. My lips feel far less dry. Most areas are now clearing up. An absolute miracle product!

Very impressed

I suffer with Peri Oral Dermatitis which can get really itchy and irritated. I have not found a product that has significantly helped in the past. I eliminated all other cosmetics and moisturisers and started using this balm it has only been a couple of weeks and the irritation, redness and dry flaking has almost completely gone! I was so impressed I also ordered the micellar cleanser which is also very calming. Would definitely recommend giving it a go!

New formula is bad

This use to be my holy grail for barrier repair during the winter months, it was so soothing, hydrating and moisturisering. It healed irritations and didn't clog my pores. Unfortunately the new formula is very drying and irritated my skin further, it also made my eyes sting/burn red and water even when I didn't put it near my eyes.

CICAPLAST BAUME B5+

Wow! I absolutely love this product. It makes my skin feel hydrated and comfortable. My usual, expensive moisturiser just wasn’t enough with the harsh weather and the central heating. I was using it at night first as it was a baim, me but now use it in the morning too. I put it on, have my breakfast and then put my make up on. Amazing product.

Average

Unsure about the OG formula. But this formula makes my skin feel very greasy, doesn’t absorb properly and feels very sticky. It also causes dry patches around my mouth and chin area leading to dermatitis( where as it is supposed to be helping with that)

Old Cicaplast was HG/New B5+ formula dries me out

The Cicaplast Balm B5 was my HG for many years for may very dry rosacea prone skin. Unfortunately, the new cicaplast Balm B5+ just irritates and dries my skin out. Please bring back the old formula for very dry skin as an alternative.

Great for preventing stretch marks

I saw a dermatologist recommend this cream for preventing stretch marks and so used throughout my pregnancy and it’s honestly amazing. I literally had a stretch marks free pregnancy and also noticed and some very light existing stretch marks also materially improved in appearance. I absolutely love this product and it’s honestly one of the few products in the market that actually works on stretch marks but isn’t not marketed as a stretch mark cream. One of the best in the market!

Be aware as could cause or trigger acne

Im sure this products formula has changed, was once such a good repairing balm for compromised skin barrier. I ordered another tube recently and I have spots around my chin area it seems the balm is clogging pores ..I have dry senstive skin but it seems its not curing the dry skin but causing breakouts.

Severely misleading towards eczema prone skin.

I bought this product specifically because it’s advertised as being suitable for sensitive, irritated and eczema-prone skin, and tested under dermatological and even paediatric control. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. Before trying this, my skin had been completely clear and eczema-free for over five years. After using the cleanser and Baume B5 moisturiser once, I developed a severe reaction that triggered a full-body flare. Everywhere the product touched, my face, neck, chest, stomach, arms, legs and hands reacted. The irritation was extremely painful and completely avoidable had the product actually been suitable for eczema-prone skin as described. The marketing claims that this product “restores comfort” and is designed for “damaged or irritated skin,” but in my case it caused significant discomfort and a widespread flare. My skin was stable and healthy before using it, and nothing else in my routine changed. I would strongly caution anyone with eczema or very sensitive skin to patch test first or avoid this entirely. The description did not match my experience at all.

Has the formula changed?

I used this product for around 9 months night and day. It did wonders for my skin and I recommended it to all my friends and family. However when purchasing recently I noticed my eye was swelling up, then all of a sudden I got the most severe rash / burns on my face. I can only think that a formula has changed in this product. The reaction I have received has been horrendous and I am so upset. I truly believe this product once upon a time gave me all the confidence back that I needed in my skin as I had bad acne and rosacea. I haven’t used this cream for around 4/5 weeks now and I still have a rash on my face from when I used it last. Please let me know if this product has changed recently and if it has please let me know what’s changed as the reaction from the most recent product has been crippling for me and I am wondering if anyone else is the same??

Game changing

Healthy skin.

Great for skin repairing

Amazing !!

So disappointed

I bought this after reading lots of reviews from people with rosacea saying it helped theirs. I wish I’d delved a bit deeper as it seems it was the old formula that was the holy grail. I had to stop using this after a day or two it immediately made my rosacea worse. My face was so inflamed, stinging and burning sensation and my rosacea was dry and itchy. Within hours of cleaning it off my face my skin had calmed considerable. Had so much hope for this but unfortunately it will need to be binned.

Best cream ever. Aged 50 and use morning and night. Its literally transformed my skin. Yes its a little thick, but works wonders for aging skin. Use a thin amount in mornings and layer it on overnight. Only wish they made bigger sizes as go through so much!

Allergic reaction to new formula

This cream quite literally saved my face from a horrible eczema flare. It was the only thing that didn’t burn or sting, and I truly believe it repaired my skin barrier. I’ve been using it since for many years, however recently noticed irritation and swelling around my eyes after use. After coming to check the ingredient list, I can see they had added Acrylates. I, and a growing number of people are allergic to these (they are found in gel nails/paints/varnishes) and I’m genuinely upset I can no longer use my golden product. Please give us the old formula back!

Miracle cream

I used to use much more expensive skincare until I discovered this. It’s so good and non-irritating on my dryness- and psoriasis-prone sensitive skin. Facial scar

I tripped over whilst on holiday in France and landed on my nose which was badly cut and grazed. After some of the initial healing I popped into a pharmacy for advice and was recommended this product which I have now been using for a couple of weeks ( juggling around scab formation as I realise it’s not for open wounds ) Now all the scabs have gone I will start using this daily but will welcome any advice as to whether this is the best product to reduce scarring. I have 2 lines down the side of my nose where my glasses dug into my face. :-( Any advice welcome. So far I’m pleased with the product but keen to know if anything else recommended to help healing and reduce scarring.

Amazing Cream

My son suffered a bad sunburn on his face and neck whilst on holiday (peeling, blisters). I bought the cicaplast baume B5+ cream and it has worked wonders. After 5 days of applying twice a day his face is back to normal. It has also helped with his spots - his face is much clearer now. I also started using it for my rosacea skin in the evening as a night cream and it calms my skin down. I also used the cicaplast repairing spray on sunburnt scalp with good results. Amazing product!

Best thing I've ever used on my face

Literally the best balm I've ever used. cicaplast is not marketed as daily moisturizer but rather repairing balm, but still though, I use it as daily moisturizer (acne prone/oily skin) and my skin loves it! my skin feels super smooth and it clears up my worst acne day in less than 24 hours. I applied the balm thinly overnight, and when I woke up, the redness was gone and the acne had flattened!!! I will never live without Cicaplast anymore. I loooove you La Roche Posay!

Love this cream so much! Was originally advised to use this by my breastfeeding specialist for sore nipples and it did the trick! My little one recently had some nappy rash. Our usual cream (different brand) has been discontinued and suddenly remembered I had this! Used it for his bottom and it cleared it up within a day! He also has a little eczema on his back. For the last 6-10months I’d just been applying a moisturiser, that didn’t really do anything. So I applied this and honestly the next day I could barely see the eczematous patch! It’s truly fab stuff. After reading people’s reviews, I’m now going to try using this on my face. Such a great product!!

DO NOT USE THIS CREAM!

EXTREME WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS CREAM if your skin is impaired or broken by Retin A/Microdermabrasion/Trauma. I made the mistake to use this cream thinking it repaired skin barriers - but it did the exact opposite - caused redness, peeling, flaking and crusting - It took me Six weeks of care, hydrocortisone and vaseline to try and reverse the damage it caused. PLEASE be cautious - use a test patch and NOT on broken or impaired skin. The ingredients - Zinc and others are too reactive for impaired skin.

Best for Moisturising!

Not only does this moisturiser without an oily residue, it also calms my skin when it's irritated! It is extremely hydrating and has definitely helped strengthen my skin barrier. I can now try more products knowing my skin is more robust than before (I had extremely sensitive skin). I use this together with toleraine cleaner, hyalu B5 serum, and anthelios dry touch sun screen. It's the routine that works for me: hydration, skin barrier strengthening and protection has made my skin happy and healthy.

A keeper

I slather this on at night after using tretinoin and it’s an absolutely powerhouse for keeping my skin hydrated and happy. Although this is intended for dry skin, I don’t find this to be too heavy or too much for my oily skin. This might be due to the drying nature of the tretinoin though. At any rate, I have been using it consistently for about 18 months and it’s definitely become a permanent feature in my routine.

The only thing that seems to work

This product is the only thing that seems to dim the visibility of the pores on my nose, i have really odd large pores on my nose and nothing gets rid of their dark spots. this doesn’t get rid of them but it makes them look much more faded. however this is a thick product that would most likely break my cheeks/ forehead out if i used it there, and i’ve heard it does break some people out but it’s great for nose pores and didn’t break me out there.

Based on my own experience of using the product, I can say this product is well worth the money. It repairs the skin barrier overnight, does not pill, does not cause any irritation and can be worn under makeup. Cicaplast has healed my skin from irritation caused by the overuse if actives in my night routine. I have combination skin and wear this product in the day time. I layer the product in the following routine; cleanser, vit c serum, moisteriser, Cicaplast Baume, spf50, makeup. This product locks in moister and keeps my skin glowing all day.

Skin barrier best friend

I love cicaplast baume as aside from being super hydrating it is also non irritating and soothes my damaged skin barrier. Perfect for my sensitive skin.

This balm is so soothing, so nourishing. It protects your dry skin to aid repair barrier function. Also suitable for people who may be prone to eczema. Does exactly that, great product, would highly recommend it. 5 stars.

Acne dry skin

I have used Effaclar H for many years but the ingredientshave been changed and this now just sits on my skin, I was given a free sample of Cicaplast Baume and it seemed to work well on my skin so I ordered a proper tube. It is currently going Ok, however, this may be too heavy in the summer. I have not had a breakout yet or any problems arising from using Cicaplast. Please bare in mind that this is quite a heavy creme and benefits from being warmed in the hands prior to application.

Very soothing

My daughter suffers from psoriasis on her elbows, leaving skin very rough and unsightly. I got this for her and she definitely found an improvement.

Beautiful skin

I have used this a few times on my face and it's been amazing, I have eczema and I hate creams ect on my face its normally itchy and greasy and thick but this cream has been amazing and it's left my face so smooth, it's light weight and doesn't irate me at all! 10/10

Amazing product. It’s a thick lotion that spreads with ease and is rapidly absorbed. It has multiple uses (which I love) and can be applied to face, body and even lips. Apply twice daily. Fragrance free and suitable for sensitive skin. Can be used by the whole family including children and babies. I’ve been using it to help sort out my winter dry lips. It has transformed them. My daughter suffers with dry skin so we’ve been using this on the patches that are extra dry (elbows, knees and a patch on her back) and it’s worked wonders. She is highly sensory yet has enjoyed this lotion and the relief it provides her dry skin. An amazing product which is truly a skin saviour.
