Comfortable, lasting hydration

This lip balm is soft and buttery and really hydrates my lips. Even after it has worn off, my lips feel soft and smooth. The curve applicator makes it easy to apply and a little goes a long way. It doesn’t leave my lips sticky and is very lightweight. I have used this on very damaged lips and it soothed them back to health overnight.

Lip care done right

The way this product glides on my lips and doesn't come off easily, is the best! It hydrates my lips and I can tell because I don't have to keep applying it every 10-15 minutes. A must buy!

Best balm

Very bad

I had treated my lips with Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack with amazing results just in 2 /3 nights. I thought to buy your brand as a top up for day time and it literally dried my lips. The nozzle is angled sideways. Something is not right with is product.

Love the balm! Difficult tube.

I love the balm. My lips are very happy. Great texture and very hydrating. Unfortunately, it is too difficult to squeeze from the tube, even using two hands. I ended up cutting it open and placing the product into a small cosmetic jar.

Lizard lips

A Dream of a Balm! (Just needs new packaging)

Absolutely love this product! I first tried it when my lips were in very bad shape. The formula immediately made my lips feel so much more comfortable, and kept my lips feeling great better and faster than some other brands I have tried. I also appreciate that it is fragrance free. My only complaint is the difficulty in getting all of the product out of the tube. It’s such a great balm! Laroche-Posay please give this favorite of many a packaging update!

Reduces flakes

The consistency feels comfortable on my lips and reduces any flakiness i have. It's got a vaseline type consistency, with no scent or taste. The only downside is it's not as long lasting as id like.

Changed My Life

I have had severe eczema for the last several years, dealing with flare-ups and dry skin, especially during the dry winter months up in New England and Laroche-Posal Cicaplast b5 lip balm and cream have changed my life. Having used products like Aquaphor and Vaseline for years, my skin began to reject those products. I am so happy I have found something that works, keeps my skin hydrated, and alleviates the itchiness and redness that comes from chronic eczema. I have not had any flare-ups on my face or around my lips since using this product.

Made my lips extra dry

I have been purchasing LA Roche posay products from my local pharmacy for a while now, and I've never had any issue. In fact, I am still currently using my micellar foaming water, the only thing I use mostly for face wash when I am not using my African black soap, and I have no issues with this face wash, and the other products I use for LA Roche Posay is just as good. I thought it would be the same for the lips product. It made my lips so dry and cracky every time I use it. I go back to using my O'Keeffe's lip repair lip balm and my lips are almost back to normal only after two use.

Sadly didn’t work for me

I received this lip balm for Christmas per request. I have used laroche-posay products previously and loved them. Also,when I worked in a dermatology clinic these products were highly recommended. As a few others have mentioned, using this product made my lips drier and flaky. I don’t think it’s overall a bad product, but for some reason it just doesn’t seem to work for me.

Love the product, the tube is hard to use.

The balm is great! It was recommended by my dermatologist for my dry lips. The only drawback is the packaging. It is really hard to squeeze it from the tube. Wish it also came in a small jar like the competitors do. I like to put it on at night so a screw top jar would be perfect.

Help with dry lips fast

My lips get pretty dry and chapped in winter especially with the beard scratching them up. It sinks in fast feels thick at first but not greasy and really locks in moisture -lips stay soft for hours without that cracked feeling. No strong scent and it doesn’t cause any weird buildup or irritation. I slap it on morning and night plus during the day when they feel tight but in super cold weather I sometimes layer it thicker because it can wear off a bit if I’m talking a lot.

Year 'round relief

Yes, it costs more than your usual lipstick-style stick. But it lasts way longer, doesn't feel waxy, doesn't look smeary on your face, and actually works to soften your lips! I love the feel of this all year 'round, but especially in the cold months. I buy them for my whole family, kids and adults. And I gave a few to co-workers. Daily must-have for dry lips.

Skip this one

I wanted to love this. As an avid aquaphor as lipgloss user I thought this would be a step up but I was wrong. It is the opposite of conditioning as it made my lips feel dry after only a few minutes. It did not feel comfortable on the lips, the consistency felt very strange and almost like a makeup primer. I would not recommend.

Smell texture efficacy

The smell is not my favourite, even though it is really nice to find an unscented product. The texture makes me rub my lips together constantly but it does work really well to keep my lips moisturized, even on accutane.

Best lip balm ever!

Literally the best lip balm I have ever used! I suffer from eczema on my lips. It's terrible. I use many other La Roche-Posay products so I thought I'd give it a try. With in 24 hours a lot of the pain had subsided. I have been prescribed a prescription product too by my dermatologist, but it wasn't doing it on it's own. Cicaplast helped so much!

One of my favorite products ever

Amazing stuff

I had a recurring patch of irritation on my top lip for months. I had tried using lots of different creams and balms, and I was about to book in to see a dermatologist when I found this. Didn't last long

Bummed it has beeswax

I haven’t tried this product, but since being diagnosed with numerous contact allergies, Laroche Jose has been my go to for replacing all of my products. I was ready to buy this for my lips because that’s where my problem showed up, unfortunately both of their lip balm’s have beeswax, which was my number one allergy. I guess I’m still on the search for something to heal my lips. Bummer.

One tiny thing…

I love this product but my one complaint is the tube. Because of the thickness of the product it can be difficult to get out of the tube. For anyone who has any hand issues, this is frustrating (especially because the product is so good!) A pot instead of a tube would be perfect.

I like it, but I can't use it

I liked it but unfortunately my lips broke out when I used it. It was hydrating which is something I was looking for. I have cancer and the medications leave my mouth and lips extremely dry. Licking my lips make them even more dry and cracked. I have a lot of allergies so it is hard finding skin care products that work.

Perfect winter lip care

Cicaplast Lips by La Roche-Posay is an excellent product, especially for the colder months. I've used it before when I was in Peru, and it consistently delivers great results. It hydrates and soothes my lips, keeping them soft and nourished even in harsh, dry weather. This is the best moisturising lip balm, I’ve been using this for my severely dry lips and it has been my holy grail product. I find most lip balms needing constant reapplication because they absorb so quickly, but this is much more long lasting. I only wish they would make a larger size because one tube only lasts me a week or two

Best nighttime lip balm ever

As someone with chronically dry lips, this has been a godsend. The only way they could make it better is if they came out with a version with added SPF (and then they’d also need to add flavor to counter that horrific chemical sunscreen taste). But as it is now it is the perfect nighttime lip balm. For a long time I thought nothing could beat Vaseline but this is leagues ahead actually. I LOVE IT

Great to try if you have lip allergies

The only lip balm that I'm not showing allergic signs to and really makes my lips soft. I'm allergic to tocopherol which is present in almost every single lip balm I've come across. Even when I do find one that doesn't have tocopherol, it ends up irritating my lips when used for a while. Please please please do not change this formula!! (nivea original balm used to be my everything until they changed the formula and added tocopherol TT)

Bad flavor and it doesn't last long on your lips.

I normally use lip balm from another company, but wanted to try out a new brand. I've been using this for a few weeks now, and am quite disappointed with it. First of all, it doesn't moisturize that well. I have to re-apply it often. Secondly, the Flavor is poor. I can't pinpoint the flavor, but it tastes unappealing. I'll finish the tube, but won't consider buying it again.

My favorite lip balm... of all time?

Absolutely love this lip balm! It's so smooth and calming. It's the perfect texture. It's not sticky whatsoever and has a nice slip but takes some force to get out of the tube at first. My lips love it and are nice and soft. No irritation and no dry lips later on. It tastes a little sweet. No fragrance. This is as close to my perfect lip balm as I think I'll get! I truly hope the formula isn't changed down the road.

Leaves a weird white slimy film on your lips

Left a weird film on my lips. I wanted to love it, because I heard great reviews, I purchased it, and after using, a couple hours later, I noticed I was getting what I would describe as mouth boogers. My lips had a weird slimy film on it that I kept accidentally getting into my mouth. It wasn’t until I discontinued the product that I realized, the weird lip slimy thing was coming from this product.

Impressed after a month!

As a person who struggles with lip picking, I’ve been on the search for a balm that lasts and actually benefits my naturally dry lips. So far I have really enjoyed this balm. I am trying it in tandem with a couple other brands, and I do notice that my lips feel much smoother after a few hours of using this product. It’s comfortable and doesn’t stay overly gooey on your lips. So far so good.
