Effective Cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cream felt slightly tingling on the skin. It’s very lightweight and perfect for sensitive skin. A little goes a long way. Overtime my dark spots faded.

A light moisturiser to use with my prescribed gel.

I have used this for a number of years after my GP who also has a dermatology interest prescribed a cream for ance rosacea. I was using nivea after but she said too think and said to use this after my acne rosacea cream as it had SPF that I needed. I love this product!

Stings my face

My face kept severely stinging whole day after applying this cream. I am shocked that a spf moisturiser could be that harsh!

Disappointing

Leaves clumpy sticky white residue! All clumps off. So disappointing as I love the one without SPF.

Makes eyes water and burn

I wanted to love this as I need SPF that doesn’t worsen/cause spots and while it’s a nice texture and hasn’t made me breakout if I put it on my face (nowhere near my eyes) my eyes will be stinging, burning and watering like I’ve rubbed chilis in them

Best Cream to keep skin well moisturised 🌸🧴

Great cream for maintaining the skin hydration and moisture well . I have been using this cream from long time and happy with the results 🥰🌸 no more dryness and redness on my face now. would love to recommend this cream to everyone having dry and itchy skin issues

Not the best

I bought this as I ran out of the original duo moisturiser and it is the best moisturiser I’ve used, so thought with spf will be really good. I have started using it and my eyelids have got dry and irritable and my skin is very itchy and uncomfortable. I just want to know why you can’t buy the duo on its own?

Didn’t work for my skin

I tried this moisturiser because I’d heard it’s great for acne prone skin but it gave me more spots that were quite sore. It’s also stung a lot around my eyes and on my skin a little. The price is a lot for what it is.

Amazing for acne scars

The results I've gotten from using @larocheposay Effaclar Duo Triple Correction Cream have been fantastic . Because of how quickly it works to reduce acne scars, this cream has been a game-changer for my face. It does an excellent job of removing blackheads and acne scars, and it also helps prevent future outbreaks. Salicylic acid, found in this product, offers a gentle exfoliating impact, making it stand out from other products . It's gentle enough for my acne skin, yet effective enough to remove dead skin cells and reveal younger, fresher skin. My combination skin, which gets greasy, responds well to this cream without any over-drying. The 40 ml tube is great value because it lasts a while. Irritates my sensitive skin and causes breakouts

I have been using this product after serum for the past few months and every time I use it, the skin on my face starts to develop red breakouts within a week. It also should not be used around the eyes, as it causes irritation.

Perfect!

I have combination skin, and this brand is the one that helped my skin to get clear and healthy, I was looking for an SPF for a long time, but most of them a very heavy and leaves white cast on my face, this one isn’t, it is lightweight, absorbs very well and leave my skin feel moisturised and glowing all day and protects from UV rays. Love this product and will definitely buy lots more.

Not for sensitive skin

I use to wear this moisturiser all the time and I loved it, but I suddenly had a dermatitis reaction from the fragrance in it which I was really upset about. I would love if you could do the effaclar products without perfume aswell, just as I found it so good for my acne prone and clogged pore skin. Just hope you could this product without the perfume and extra stuff that might cause sensitive skin types to have a reaction!x

I received a sample to try and I'm sad to say it didn't go well. It left my skin red and burning, it was not a pleasant time. So it's safe to say that I will not be buying or recommending

This was my first ever La Roche Posay product, used to have hormonal breakouts which leaves dark spots,a few months ago I started to use effalar creams. I have noticed a big improvement of my skin, I don't get much breakouts as before and even when I get them They don't leave dark spots. I am very satisfied with the results and I am comfortable with my skin. I recommend this products to anyone who has skin issues

Great surprise with this moisturiser

Bought this moisturiser so I could have it in my bag instead of a jar, as sometimes in the winter you need a top up, I love the ingredients especially one of my favourites NIACINAMIDE it is a big part in my weekly skincare routine plus added sun protection

Multi tasking skincare

I love being able to cut time from my routine wherever I can so I was very happy to use this moisturiser containing spf. It goes on smoothly and my makeup applies well afterwards. So far very pleased with the results.

Excellent SPF for skin prone to blemishes

I use this daily both as moisturiser and primer under powder mineral foundation and effaclar duo+ at night. Has helped enormously with stubborn blemishes where my skin is oily , skin feels hydrated and moisturised and most importantly skin is clear! The added SPF is a bonus.

Excellent sun protection and moisturiser.

I need to wear sunscreen and don't want to apply lots of different creams. This is my usual daytime moisturiser with added sun protection. Perfect.

Broke me out!

I bought this a couple weeks ago and have used it only a few times but every time I do I immediately break out within a day. I tested this by only applying on certain areas and a day after I had around 5 big whiteheads! Do not recommend

Spots no more

I often get breakouts, when I am stressed, or certain times of the month. And the spots can take weeks to go away. I already have been using the Effaclar duo for years, and it helps reduce breakouts. Therefore, loved that they have a SPF 30 version as it also protects from the sun

Fantastic lightweight moisturiser with SPF!

I have been using the SPF version of this moisturiser in the morning and the normal version in the evenings for 2-3 months now and I am officially in love! I have always struggled with breakouts and the moisturisers in the Effaclar range are now my holy grail products. Lovely light-weight gel texture that can easily go under my daily BB cream. Would highly recommend to those with oily / acne-prone skin.

A bit thick texture

I've been using Effaclar Duo for a month now as a final moisturiser layer to my morning routine. My skin is a bit oily and sometimes the texture of Effaclar Duo does not soak very well in my skin and feels tick (that might be because of the sunscreen mixed in it) and peals off after a few minutes. I'm using Niacinamide + Zinc serum underneath so that might prevent the Effaclar Duo from soaking into my skin....not sure.

Works well but not reef safe!

I've been using this product for about 6 months and it's worked so well but I recently found out that is contains octocrylene which is harmful to the reefs and this makes me very sad. Don't think I'll be purchasing again.

Burning sensation

I bought this product a few weeks ago having used the normal Effaclar duo for a while now after having acne. However this product leaves my face with a burning sensation by the end of the day and will not be buying again

Nothing like the original

I usually get the normal Effaclar Duo Cream and it works like a dream, doesn't leave my skin oily, stays matt and is lovely and light. I bought this as I am going away on holidays and wanted extra protection from the sun. The only thing it has in common with the original is the name. Otherwise it's horrible and oily, really thick (like sun cream) and after 2 days of use my skin broke out in a terrible rash so I look like I have sun burn or a chemical peel. Don't bother. Even without the allergic rash, the cream doesn't feel nice on at all. Supposed to be anti Clogging but it feels like all my pores are clogs and greasy now.

Made my skin worse

I suffer from cystic acne so have to be really careful with my skin which can break out easily. After months of clear skin due to a strict regime I decided to try a new mosteriser and as this was on sale in boots I had thought I would give it a try. I am really disappointed that within a couple of days I broke out in 5 cysts across my face and not just in my usual chin area. Personally I like the consistency and the coverage of this moisturiser, and I love that it contains spf 30 in it. I didn't find it too oily but had to leave it a good 20mins to soak in before putting on makeup. If my skin hadn't broken out so badly I probably would have given it 4/5 stars, I may try the original moisteriser next time.

Brilliant spf not too greasy

I've got oily combo skin and I find other spf to be very greasy this one however melts straight into my skin and doesn't make me look greasy. Highly recommend will be buying this regularly.

I've always loved Effaclar duo, it's my go to daily moisturiser whenever I have any skin issues. If you have severe acne you should probably go see a dermatologist. However, there's nothing better to maintain your acne prone skin and prevent from blemishes. Added SPF is only a plus. I do not need to put another SPF product during my morning routine (when I stay in the city) and using SPF is extremely important. During the day just top up with anthelios and you're protected from the sun :-)
