I have combination skin and many products just roll right off, love this product for keeping my tinted sunblock in place and preventing t-zone "shine"

Broke me out & zero moisturisation

Only used twice, did nothing else different, broke me out in places I never had breakouts before, looked like irritation pimples and it was definitely not my normal acne. Also, not moisturising at all.

Absolutely amazing. This really does give my skin a matte appearance. Whilst not as moisturising as others, for me that doesn't matter as I hydrate my skin with a serum.

My holy grail

I have been using this on/off for ~7 years, I keep coming back to it! One of the only moisturisers that helps keep skin looking fresh, bright and clear. A lot of moisturisers cause acne and congestion for me. In winter or when my skin needs a little more TLC, i will cycle between this and a richer moisturiser every second night! Please never change this formula! For context i have SENSITIVE (eczema), acne prone (with cystic and forehead acne flares) skin.

Mattifies my face but doesn't moisturize enough

Having received samples of the Effaclar facial cleanser from my dermatologist, I decided to try this product as I've had shiny skin since my teenage years. My skin is also sensitive and ironically, also very dry at first when I wash it or even rinse it with water. This makes finding the right products complicated. I enjoy the way this Effaclar product helps matify my skin over the first few hours of the day. Unfortunately, the moisturizer in it just isn't strong enough for my face and it still feels dry and stretched in the morning after I shower. In fact, I can barely feel its moisturizing qualities at all. I've decided to continue using my existing Cetaphil SPF 15 moisturizer first and then applying a light layer of this on top to reduce the shine.

Holy Grail for Oily Skin – BUY IT!!! I originally bought this moisturiser (Effaclar Mat +.. not sure if there’s any difference between the two) because my usual one from Avène (mattifying) was sold out. From the very first day I used it, my skin has never felt more mattified. I have EXTREMLYYY OILY skin, I’m constantly glistening, needing to wipe and wipe throughout the day just to feel/look semi-normal, I’m literally dripping in oil every single day. BUT with this moisturiser, it’s a total game changer. For the first time, I can leave the house and go about my day without coming home looking like a greaseball. By the end of the day, my skin just looks naturally dewy and not DRENCHED in oil. It’s HONESLTY become my holy grail. I’ve also picked up the Effaclar + M Purifying, the Effaclar Anti-Acne Purifying Clay Mask, and the Effaclar Anti-Acne Salicylic Acid Serum, and I truly believe this combo has worked wonders, especially in reducing oil and keeping breakouts in check. The ONLY downside is the size, it’s a bit pricey for the amount you get, and I really wish they offered a larger version. That said, a little does go a long way, so it’s still worth it. Highly, HIGHLYYYY recommend to anyone with oily skin!

Mattfying but pills after drying

I want to love this product because of how well it mattifies my skin and it does feel great when putting it on and how it feels on my skin. Very light weight and mattifies without drying out your skin. Although after a couple hours of applying it if you rub your skin or touch it even very lightly the product pills (like on clothing) and it flakes off your face and onto you hand or clothing. If you were to rub your whole face most of the product would leave your skin and turn into a bunch of little bits that cannot be rubbed back into you skin. I've tried different ways of cleansing or toning my skin prior to application but it seems to happen everytime I wear this. Disappointing considering the price and positive reviews. Why does it seem to only happen to me?

Delays in shipping

I ordered some items on Black Friday and while the order was taken and items are ready to ship as per my account, they are still not shipped. An email had come through to say that there were delays and they would ship my items through in the next couple of days and that has now passed. No shipment. I have not received my items yet and not sure if I will receive them before Christmas. This is poor service in my opinion.

I recommend this moisturizer for oily skin only. You don’t feel like you applied moisturizer with this one, it dissolves into your skin immediately. Need to reapply later in the day, not very lasting. I like it but amount is very little for what you pay

6 STARS if comes in a BIGGER size

I have been using this product for over a year, it works wonderful with my skin - oily type. The cream dries out (more like it absorbs) very quickly, feels very light and not so sticky. The and only downside is that the cream is way too small for everyday use, so what I do now is I would use a different moisturiser (other brands) in the morning and use only this product during night time.

works great, but i prefer the old formula

i remember using this product about 2 years ago and it was amazing, i had extreme oil in my tzone as well as PIE. Until about a year to half a year ago, i went to repurchase at a nearby pharmacy and realized the texture was different from the one i used before. Honestly, i kind of liked the old formula better the current one seem to have a more shiny finish it feels greasy in tropical countries, it’d be great if there would still be the old formula in sale 😭🫶🏻🫶🏻 but anyway it still works great🔥🔥 keep slaying all roche posay

Disappointing

For all the promises and positive reviews, this product did not work on my skin. After two weeks of using it, my skin is oilier than before when I wake up in the morning and again by the end of the day. I have not yet been able to find a moisturiser which keeps my skin completely matte throughout the day, but at least other products I’ve tried didn’t make my oil problem worse…

When I was diagnosed with rosacea, my dermatologist recommended the Roche Posey sunscreen, and a cosmetician recommended the product line. It has served me well for about 5 years! I have combination skin. Some areas are very oily and other parts dry! Along with super sensitivity! I have tried many moisturizers but this one works well for me all round. Not too thick but moisturizes my face well. Doesn’t break me out and sits well under my make up.

Amazing day moisturaiser After I tried this moisturaiser, its became another one of my favorites, especially it is grate for summer time. It is a saver for people with oily and combination skin. Lovely moisturiser

I bought this as my face feels like an oil slick even though I was using clinique for oily skin and a primer under my foundation, with a well recommended loose powder on top. My face was still very oily by lunchtime with the whole process needing re-doing. I bought this moisturiser and got a free face wash high I've been song in the shower. The result is smoother skin with much less oil during the day. Its better value than clinique too, so I'm very happy.

I bought this after extensive research and reading several reviews..sadly as someone with reaaaallly oily skin it made it even worse, which was super disappointing for me cause I thought I for sure found the one. Prior I was using Vinchy's gel water moisturizer and when I'd wake up after a long sleep my face was not oily but with this one..I wake up with a complete face full of grease it is gross lol. I have come to realize these fancy products etc, in the end it is all about marketing and not actually real results. I am suprised sooo many reviews say how amazing it is cause I find that hard to believe considering how bad it made my skin overall. But hey, everyone has diff skin.

A little drying, but gorgeous under makeup!!

Perhaps a little drying if your skin is on the dry side. It does however look super good under makeup and you almost don’t even need a finishing powder because this makes your skin look very mat and dewy, it’s gorgeous. For my very dry spots around the T-zone, I use the LIPKAR Baume AP+m face and body lotion on top. It works wonders.

Must have product

I brought this for my teenage daughter along with other skin care products from the range & it’s made such a difference for her skin. My favourite face moisturizer

After about 6-months of consistent use I can say with confidence that this is far and away the best facial moisturizer I have ever used. I have tried many face moisturizers over the years and have always had trouble find one I like because I can be very prone to black heads and white heads in my t-zone. This is the only moisturizer I have ever used where that is not something I ever have to worry about. It is also SO good at its job that I do not have to use it twice a day in the winter and can even skip days in the summer making this product also very economical! I absolutely love it and it has become a stable in my routine!

Light, effective moisturiser

After a skin consultation from one of the La Roche Posay team, I was advised to try this. At first I thought that it was too light but actually I have found that it does a great moisturising job without feeling greasy. The only slight disappointment is that I feel as thought the bottle could be a little bigger to at least get through a month!

I am 24 years old and I always have rashes on one cheek, especially before menstruation. I accidentally bought this cream in a pharmacy and used it in the morning and at night. I am very surprised that the cream coped with the rashes in two weeks and now I have only traces left! This is just a super cream for the last 3 years! (I tried this brand before about 5 years ago, and it didn’t help me, maybe another cream). I advise everyone!
