Changed ingredients

Hi, i have been using this product for a while. I have sensitive skin being a redhead with fair skin. It was recommended by a dermatologist with other serums, however this product done the best job, especially around the eye, lip, chin and neck area. I brought 4 bottles. I was nearly at the end of my stock, I read some of the reviews about the serum not being the same. I brought a one new bottle to try 2 weeks ago. I started using it, its not as thick, the serum doesn't plump the same way. Im 65 and I can certainly tell differences on my skin, as I can see and feel the differences in the two bottles when put onto my skin. I have been using the previous version very sparingly. I dont want to lose this wonderful product. What a shame. I can say its not the same.

Beware of the perfume if that's an issue for you

Love LP products so not giving it a lower score and I partially blame myself for not reading the ingredients more carefully. The level of perfume is insane. I'm not environmental sensitive but heavy perfumes make my head "spin/queasy" and this was unbearable but luckily I only did a patch test on my forehead. I even tried on the back of my hands to see if it would fade without a moisturizer layered on top. Two hours later and still overpoweringly perfumed even at arm's length so I washed it off. It took three thorough lathers and rinses with the final using dish soap in order to get rid of the smell. That's CRAZY

Perfect

Great option for oily skin

I did not take a before photo but I should have. Lightweight and moisturizes without feeling greasy. Slight scent but disappears once dry. I have oily skin and have not broken out

I’ve been buying La Roche Posay B5 hyaluronic acid for a few years now I’m elderly and my once olive skin is fairer these days as I don’t go in the sun anymore I’ve also become a little sensitive on my face and I do have minor roseaca flare ups occasionally The B5 serum was my first foray into the La Roche Posay serums, as well as using other La Roche Posay products The B5 I use all over my face from my forehead and over my eyes and right down to my neck and, even my chest when I manage to purchase it at a good price Even on my hands sometimes I never break out with La Roche Posay skin care and love, love, love it all B5 serums provide more moisture to your skin than moisturiser alone Although their Cicablast Baume Repair cream is amazing, especially in winter, while it doesn’t make you break out in humid climates also Sometimes I supercharge my skin on my face with both! Amazing on my hands also, if I’m feeling extravagant I’m approaching 76 and I’m often told how good I look, and not quite as old as my biological age! Unfortunately, my body does look it’s age Hey we can cover our bodies but our face is always on show I’m sure La Roche have body products but I haven’t tried any yet, if they do? I wish I’d discovered their serums per se, years ago I have tried some other less expensive well known brands and honestly, they are ok, but I feel the French have skin care down pat, no matter your country or climate

excellent product

I have started using several LRP products and all are marvellous. I am outdoors a lot and need good sun protection as well as post menopausal skin so the Hylau B5 is wonderful for adding moisture to my skin. Skin barrier is healthy now thanks to these products. Priced reasonably compared to other products too.

Disappointed in the new formula

I bought this about a month ago and I’m really disappointed. I used to love the old version for the glow and niacinamide, which was super important for my aging skin in my late 40s. This new Sure Active version doesn’t have niacinamide, and I don’t get the same glow at all. Really wish they hadn’t discontinued the old serum — this one just doesn’t feel like a replacement. Disappointed they changed a serum that worked. I’m honestly not sure I’ll keep using it.

Disappointed on Formula Change

Extremely disappointed in what appears to be a significant formula change!! It’s clear that notable costs have been taken out of the new formula - it feels totally different than the previous formula (which I was obsessed with and used for years - it was my favourite!). The new formula feels watered down and doesn’t have the same hydrating effects. I’m so sad!! Please bring back the old formula. I understand costs have risen - perhaps consider launching a separate item for the old “pure” formula and charge a higher price. Otherwise, I’ll unfortunately need to find another item consistent to the old formula.

Soft skin

My skin was feeling little dry and tired, especially in morning, but after this serum it look more fresh and alive. Texture is little bit gel and slightly thick, but it absorb fast into skin. It not feel heavy or greasy. After applying, skin feel very soft and smooth. I see small lines look more less visible and skin look more plump. I like that it give deep hydration but still is gentle for sensitive skin. I have no irritation or redness. It work very nice under moisturiser and makeup also.

Disappointed with the formula change

I am thoroughly disappointed work the formula change. I recently discovered the product in the fall and instantly loved it. Unfortunately after buying a second bottle which was the new formula, it no longer pairs well with my makeup. Instead of smooth skin. My makeup constantly pills when I wear it. I can no longer use this product when I am wearing makeup.

**Absolute game changer!!!!**

I received a free sample and didn't think much more about it. Well I tried it and was utterly amazed at the results. My lines from forehead to chin, to lines around my eyes to the lines forming on my lips, they all disappeared. My skin was smooth, line free and radiant. Something my skin has lacked since my chemo and radio therapy. I can not recommend this beautiful serum enough. It is simply gorgeous and does exactly what you need it to do. Really improved my skin

New Year, New Skincare

Hyalu B5 Glow Up serum

Wow, this renovated Hyalu B5 suractivated serum repairs and replumps the skin ,corrects wrinkles, and restores lost firmness. My skin definitely had a bounce to it, a smooth texture feel. My skin was glowing and it definitely helped to smooth the appearance of my fine lines. The texture is clear and lightweight, it's not a sticky texture. B5 Serum

La Roche-Posay B5 Serum I find it great for skin that needs abit of plumping wrinkle. And first signs of aging. It has vitamins in it which I love. It keeps my skin hydrated. And looking good. It helps with firmness is a product that keeps skin tightened my skin is so smooth. I like that the serum is easily absorbed and easily soaks into my skin! Without leaving any marks.

Bad skin reaction since product changed

I have sensitive skin and used to love this product and used in every morning and evening. But I’ve had a very bad reaction since the formula has been changed and have developed painful red spots, plus my skin is itchy, particularly around my eyes. Unfortunately I won’t be able to use this product anymore :(

Miracle in a bottle!

Definite skin improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was quite impressed with this product, it is really hydrating and felt nice on the skin. I definitely think my skin looked improved after the 4 weeks and felt I noticed my skin looked healthy and my early signs of aging improved earlier than this. It was good to try this alongside the cream as I do not usually use a serum. I think however it was a bit thin and not so easy to use and I would prefer my serum within my face cream or thicker.

A Serum that feels luxurious and works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this Serum. The packaging feels premium and the dispenser gives you the correct amount of product. The consistency is thicker than other serums I’ve tried and it feels more like a jelly than a cream. It absorbs rapidly and you follow it with the cream. I have noticed a clear difference on the small wrinkles around my eyes, they definitely appear less visible and I have dared to go out without make up for the first time in ages!

Perfect for over night moisturisation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing i noticed about thus serum was its texture, which im not overly keen on... it feels quite slimey, similar to when youve had soap on your hands and not rinsed it off properly. Which also leaves the skin feeling tacky and sticky afterwards which isnt that suitable if youre wanting to wear make-up. Consistancy wise its perfect, its not too thick or thin so its easy to get even coverage. The serum is quite scented so may not be to everyones preference. This serum says to use morning and night, but personalky i think it is more suited to night time use, due to the tackiness it leaves on tge skin. Yes my skin feels smooth and hydrated but im not sure i have realky noticed much of a difference to my skin since using it.

B5 hyalu serum

Impressive Serum

Out of this world

Super serum

Super smooth skin

La Roche B5 Serum

I have sensitive skin and this does not irritate it at all. It actually makes my skin look glassy and better. Makes a great primer. Ok Product Prefer Moisturising Cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a huge fan of products in a dropper bottle as they can be a bit fiddly to apply However, despite this and the product being quite watery, I found that the dropper application method worked quite well, with no product accidentally leaking from the pipette. Then product has a light fragrance and absorbs quite easily. Skin feels comfortable and soothed and so it was definitely suitable for my sensitive skin. After continuous use, product does make the skin feel soft and dewey but does not really address fine lines and wrinkles. Overall a good enough general product to hydrate skin rather than tackle any wrinkles. However, I do prefer the moisturiser version of this product, as I find that it leaves skin feeling better moisturised. Though the benefit of this serum is that you can use it underneath your regular moisturiser to give it a supercharge!

Easy to apply, spreads nicely

It spreads nicely over my face and soaks in fairly quickly...not too sticky at all. Packaging is a bit weird when u open as pipette is separate. But its ok, as the pipette does double as a lid too... you dont need all the clutter!! Pipette could be better though!

Non absorbing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, I did not like this serum at all. It sat on top of my skin totally sticky. I left it on for over an hour, and it was still sticky. I then tried it again with moisturiser on top, and it was even worse. The only positive thing is that I can have sensitive skin sometimes, and it did not irritate my skin at all. I would not buy nor recommend this, though.

Magic little bottle
