Lightweight and refreshing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gel has a very light, see-through texture and a subtle, fresh, powdery scent, making it perfect for hydration without feeling cloying or heavy on the skin. I like that it is easy to apply; there is no need for an applicator or anything of the sort, just press and you're good to go. Also, its packaging makes it easy to take with you for travel. I've noticed that some of the light expression marks from smiling have disappeared after some applications, thanks to the Hyaluronic Acid. It has been refreshing and moisturizing for my dry skin so far! I usually apply it after my serums as the next step in my day and night routine.

Lovely and soooo smooth!

Smooth n refreshing

Good lotion but scented

The lotion works very well and is highly recommended, but in the promotional materials I reviewed before purchasing I did not see mention of fragrance and thus assumed it was fragrance free. Very disappointed at the strong scent, which because on my face was constantly present. Cannot use again. Let me know if you make a fragrance free version.

Uniquely Textured Matte Gel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised by LRP Hyalu B5 Water Gel. Its name is a bit of a misnomer as the texture is nothing like your standard moisturizing gel. The texture is thicker and absorbed beautifully leaving my skin looking and feeling silky soft. I have combo skin and found the formula really minimizes my pores and textured areas of my skin. My fine lines are less noticeable any rosacea is less angry. I will note that there is a bit of a fragrance and it does linger.

Matte Moisture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Water Gel is a lightweight moisturizer with HA, Vitamin B5, and BHA that should provide hydration and plumpness while minimizing the appearance of fine lines and pores. It has that dimethicone-like silkiness to it, which visibly smooths over minor imperfections. I don’t find this water gel to be the most hydrating formula I have encountered, but it does feel nice on the skin and it pairs well with foundation. I’ve found that I prefer to apply a very hydrating serum or even a thin layer of a more hydrating moisturizer, allowing that to absorb into my skin for ten minutes or so, then applying this gel as more of a primer. This allows my combination-dry skin to get the moisture it needs, and my foundation to have a lovely, smooth base to lay atop. Also, I want to note that though fragrance in skincare does not bother me or my skin, if you are sensitive to it then this may not be the product for you as it does contain fragrance and it is quite potent.

The texture is incredible — it’s a super light, almost watery gel that absorbs instantly with zero greasiness or sticky residue. Lovely scent and lightweight

The reason for that is the price point; although a little seems to go a long way, the size of the bottle is small, with lots of air space to boot. Directions say to use AM and PM, it would seem like it would get used very fast and that could get pricey. Second reason is it pills, I barely rubbed my face and it balled up. Reasons why I am not giving up on it- product does mattify my oily skin. It also seems to make my pores look a bit better along with my skin overall.I also would like to try this for even longer because the skin benefits seem pretty good from what it says its capable of. It is also very light weight, so huge plus! I really like the scent and dont mind smelling it often. It's clean and fresh. I would use this product daily at home. I most likely would not use it out due to it pilling.

Unique product but not a fan of the scent

The feeling of the silicone eventually goes away as you blend and it feels like its melting into water. Definitely mattifying but not as hydrating as my usual daily moisturizer. Mattifying and Smooth

I have what I’d consider normal/combination skin so I do lean more towards glowy moisturizers. Since this moisturizer has a mattifying effect, I think it would be great for oily skin when worn by itself but I’ll be using it under my makeup when wearing a full beat. It minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines with a blurring effect on the skin which gives you a smooth base to apply foundation. It’s lightweight and squeezes out of the tube like a gel; has a nice clean and fresh scent too. Skin-loving ingredient callouts: hyaluronic acid and panthenol for moisture maintenance and BHA for gentle exfoliation.

Awesome hydration!

It hasn't caused any breakouts so far. The packaging should have a little bit more of a pop to it. Not be so standard. But other than that it's great!!

Not sure about this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is interesting. I am not sure I like it, on my face it didn't seem greasy and it seemed to absorbed but thats the extent. The smell wasn't overwhelming but there is one the texture is smooth and gel Iike. I tried both under makeup and with out makeup and both times it sat heavy on my face so all the time I spent finding things that I can't feel totally made me feel like there was something on my face. I think LA Roche Posay has some really good things but this one was not my favorite. This wont stop me from using my other favorite pieces from the brand, just not this specific thing.

Effective!

The only thing I would have to say is the smell is a little bit strong, I personally don’t mind but I know some people are more sensitive to it. Great product. It is effective!

Great moisturizer!

Lightweight & effective!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Hyalu B5 Water Gel and was pleasantly surprised by how lightweight yet hydrating it is. And a little goes a long way. The formula contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate and vitamin B5 (panthenol) to help soothe and support the skin barrier, which I really noticed when my skin felt tight or dehydrated. The gel texture absorbs quickly and feels cooling on application. It quickly relieves tightness without leaving any sticky or greasy residue. Skin feels smooth, plump, and comfortable after applying, and it layers well under sunscreen and makeup. It does not feel drying at all, even after several hours of wear. And if you have oily skin, this is perfect for you, it reduces shine & excess sebum for a natural matte finish. There is a light, clean scent that fades quickly and hasn’t irritated my skin. Overall, it’s a great option if you want hydration that feels fresh and breathable rather than heavy.

Not for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free, for testing and reviewing purposes. I really wanted to like this product, but unfortunately it wasn’t for me. The texture was fine, but I found the scent very unpleasant and overpowering for a face product. Personally, fragrance is a deal-breaker for my skincare, especially when it lingers. Additionally, I choose to support cruelty-free brands, and I personally avoid products from companies that are not cruelty-free. Because of this, I wouldn’t repurchase or recommend this product, even though others may enjoy it.

New Favorite Hydrating Moisturizer

Heavily scented

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good basic moisturizer. My sensitive skin did not get irritated and I didn’t have any breakouts. Nothing special. I’m not a big fan of the matte effect. It absorbs quickly and has no tacky feeling. My biggest complaint is the fragrance. Heavily scented! It’s a fresh floral scent, but it is too strong.

Water gel moisturizer

The blue gel went on easily and was absorbed rather quickly. It was smooth and cooling/ hydrating. However, the moisturizer has a strong fragrant odor that is hard to get past. Disappointed

So I was very excited when I receive this product, but this has been the most disappointing product that I have tried there. The packaging and consistency is great, Formula does what it’s supposed to do. What is so offputting is the scent. I had to wash my face after using this product because it was so strong of perfume that it was making me nauseous. I don’t understand why you need to add scent into a product, especially one that is as strong as this.

Perfect water gel moisturizer for combination skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this facial product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review and opinion of the product. I've tried other La Roche-Posay products and this is one of my favorites. I have combination, acne prone skin and this has many skincare benefits with hyaluronic acid. Vitamin B5, and BHA which is a bonus. It is very mattifying, leaving my skin soft and supple without being overly greasy. It has a nice scent, but isn't overly scented and make my pores appear non-existent. My fine lines looks smoother and my skin more hydrated and plump, making makeup look more flawless overall when I choose to wear it (I don't everyday). I love how silky and lightweight it feel when putting it on, and as long as it doesn't make me breakout which it is non-comedogenic and has been tested on sensitive skin (sometimes new products take time to see the effects on my overall skin) this will be my new go-to product, especially when wearing makeup, it almost looks and feels like a primer.

Great for oily skin, matte texture

My face doesn’t get oily, nor does it effect the wear of my makeup. Although it isn’t the most hydrating product out there, my skin seems to stay sufficiently hydrated during the day. This is some intense moisturizer right here and it smells great too! I have been using this for just about a month now and I love it. Just a little product, goes a long way! It rubs in so effortlessly and leaves my skin feeling so soft and fresh. I can tell that my pores are far less noticeable. I will be 40 soon and I have noticed, after using this, that some of my fine lines and wrinkles are starting to smooth out. With consistent continued use, I think my skin will improve and benefit even more. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves their skin!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want that “fresh drink of water” feeling without ending up shiny an hour later, this Hyalu B5 Water Gel is a really solid pick. The texture is a true water-burst gel that feels instantly cooling going on, then sinks in fast and leaves your skin soft, bouncy, and comfortably hydrated with a light finish. What I like most is how balanced it feels. It gives that plumped, hydrated look you want from hyaluronic acid, but it still wears nicely during the day and layers well under sunscreen and makeup. On me, it helps my skin look a little smoother and more “blurred” around the pores without feeling heavy or greasy. It is one of those moisturizers that makes your face feel calm and refreshed instead of coated. A couple of notes: if you are very dry, you might want something richer at night or you can layer a cream on top. If you are combo or oily (or just hate thick moisturizers), this is the sweet spot. Overall, it is an easy, reliable daily moisturizer that feels high-end and makes your skin look hydrated but matte not glossy. My only gripe is the scent - I just find it completely unnecessary and too strong.

You don’t need a lot of product to cover your face so even though the bottle is small, it should last a while. However for me, it’s not something I’ll use regularly or repurchase. There is a strong perfume/fragrance that takes a while to dissipate. I don’t like fragranced skincare personally.

Holy grail alert!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm in love with this moisturizer! It feels so nice on my skin, not heavy at all. It's very lightweight and mattifying, which is good for my combination skin. Alot of moisturizers break me out but I've been using this for 2 weeks and my skin is glowing. This is the first time I've used a gel and I am definately immpressed, a little goes a long way!! Also this moisturizer does very well under makeup!!
