Hydraphase eye cream - bad reaction

Thought I'd try this as an alternative to the dermallergo soothing eye cream in the mornings (continuing dermallergo at night) - that was a mistake - within 4 days my eyes started swelling up becoming sore & itchy. As soon as I stopped using the hydraphase they recovered.

Not what I expected.

I had really high hopes for this product, it felt great on the initial application, but found it extremely drying around my eyes as it dried down. It was very disappointing.

Disappointing

I love La Roche products and use them for almost everything however after a few weeks of using this eye cream the skin under my eye started to go red, inflamed and dry. I carried on using it for another week just to make sure it was the cream and it carried over onto my eye lid. Very disappointing and I have seen a few other reviews which say the same thing so I would not recommend!

Good potential but this does not suit my needs. I found it oddly drying and the consistency is not thick enough. It is very water and thus, it is very easy to squeeze too much out of the bottle and apply too much also.

Refreshed and renewed

I have been using Hydraphase Eyes since its launch many years ago. I have admittedly tried other products in between it keep coming back to this one. It gives my eyes a refreshed youthful look that people comment on :)

Bad skin reaction

My skin reacted to this product and the skin under my eyes has only gotten worse over a month later. My under eyes are red, tender and swollen. The skin is supersensitive and o don’t know if it will go back to normal.

Eye serum

You have to use this everyday, for weeks stick with it I am 66 years old. For the first time in over 20 years dark circles and puffiness has disappeared. It’s been brilliant.

I like it

I have read lots of mixed reviews about this product, but I am happy I decided to give it a try. This is a gel, which doesn't really bother me as it absorbs quickly and is not sticky. I find this product really hydrating and it is ok for the sensitive skin around my eyes.

Very disappointed

So disappointed with this product, it says eye cream yet it comes out like a gel ,not creamy at all. When I put it on it feels sticky and leaves the skin around my eyes feeling tight and unreplenished. I don't like gel formulas for my eyes so had I know wouldn't have brought but its described as a cream, I even double checked my order to make sure I hadn't ordered the wrong product as it was so different to what I was expecting! Also missing a sample from my order so bit of a disappointing order all round.

Years of tiredness gone

Started using a week ago and the results are already seen.skin around my eyes was dehydrated due to chemotherapeutic drugs. Thanks to this cream skin around eyes is more hydrated fresh appearance and no more tired looking eyes

V good! Stick with it…

I’ve been using this for about 2 weeks. I suffer from sensitive skin and terrible early hay fever (watery/itchy/red eyes etc) AND I am prone to eczema… so I didn't really have high hopes for this to be honest. However, I have been amazed. It’s not moisturising in the expected way: it’s a gel rather than a cream and it glides on beautifully and without irritation but it “dries” to leave a v slightly tacky feeling rather than an oily/moisturised feeling. I did not think it would do anything but after using nightly for just over two weeks I’m hooked! No eczema, no redness, watering or other irritation. It‘a definitely helped to reduce my under eye puffiness too. Will keep using and would recommend if your primary concern is something for v sensitive eyes. I’m sure there are other equally good/better eye serums out there but I have tried MANY and just can’t tolerate them so this is a winner for me!

Puffy eyes

It’s the first time I use an eye cream and I must say I am impressed. I always wake up with a puffy face and my under eyes stay puffy during the day but within less than a weeks use, I saw a difference in under eyes puffiness.

This is a good moisturizing eye cream with caffeine. Just a drop is needed so it lasts long. I apply it before sleeping and in the morning my eyes look fresh and young. Skin is hydrated and glowing.

Light-weight and hydrating!

This hyaluronic acid eye cream is very light-weight which makes it perfect for the eye area. Only a small amount is needed which I gently pat around the contour of the eye. It doesn't irritate the eyes at all like some other eye creams do. It makes eyes appear brighter and my eyes definitely feel more hydrated. I highly recommend this eye cream.

Peu hydratant

J’ai acheter ce produit mais il est très liquide, plus tôt comme un sérum. C’est comme si on appliquait rien du tout. Impossible d’utiliser ce produit sous le maquillage, je suis très déçu de La roche posay pour ce produit malheureusement

Eyes got irritated and watery

I bought this quite few months ago and I guess cannot get a refund. I used it in the morning prior to applying makeup. Usually at the end of the day, eyes feel irritated and therefore tears forming. I have used their other products like Lipika Baume which is fine and very disappointed about this eye cream.

I wish I knew about Hyaluronic before

Honestly, wish I knew about the effects of Hyaluronic Acid before. It may have helped delay me getting lines around my eyes until I was older. I have been using this eye cream a couple of months now, and it really has helped to reduce the lines around my eyes.

Amazing cream

I love how this cream hydrates undereyes. I’ve been using this cream for a couple weeks. Every morning it refreshes undereyes area and make me feel even more awake. I dont see any visible changes yet. But definately can feel hydration!

Fine lines disappear

Give it time!

I have never used a gel eye product before, and at first I didn't like it. After applying to my eye lids and under my eyes, the skin felt weird. After a few days, I realized the feeling was my skin tightening, and that's a good thing. I think I would prefer a cream in the winter to help combat dry skin, but this product is really great for tightening and smoothing out the skin around your eyes. Just give it some time!

Not great at all

I ran out of my other eye cream a month ago and I love La Roche Posay moisturiser so I decided to invest in the eye serum. I'm so disappointed, it's done nothing to keep my eyes hydrated. They look worse than they did before using it. I don't understand? Is there a minute amount of hylauronic acid in it? I'm not even going to use the rest of it. I need to get something to help my eyes.

best eye cream

This is the best eye cream I have used. Perfect for my sensetive to keep hydrated. IS WAS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY! A little goes a long way and it does EXACTLY as it says!!!!! I can now not feel self conscious if I don't have makeup on, because my under eyes are looking amazing. It's rebuilt my confidence which sounds silly but that has been a real battle with the darkness and bags until now. I will absolutely buy again.

Amazing Eyes

I have recently turned 30 and am thinking seriously about my skin regime. I was browsing through products and came across this brand. I have never used any products before and I am now on my second tube of La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Eyes. The great thing is it lasts a long time and I definitely think it is value for money. Before I used this, I had noticed I started to get those fine lines around my eyes (which we all dread) and after using this product I have noticed a dramatic reduction (I might be being biased but might even have eliminated these lines!) and subsequently have recommended this product and range to my friends. I now wouldn't use any other product on my eyes. I am now introducing other La Roche-Posay products into my routine as a result. Extremely happy and I am excited I am able to preserve my youth!
