Redness & irritation

I have dry, sensitive skin. Have been using this product for 5 days, and my skin does NOT like it! My face gets all red for a few hours : I think it’s because of the fragrance. People who get easily irritated: choose something else.

Charging same amount for less product

I have used this product for 5 years and it has been fantastic. However, recently the company released it in new packaging that only offers 40ml/39 of product, whereas the old packaging was 50ml/48g of product. The price of the 40ml product is still the same as it was for the 50ml product. Shame on this company for trying to trick the customers into paying the same for 20% less product! This is on top of price increases over the past 5 years. Will not be purchasing anymore.

Feels Good On My Face

This cream is not sticky and feels refreshing. After two weeks of using it, the pump feel apart. It separated itself from the container and won’t fit back on. I’m still using the cream but I can’t use the pump. A better design would be helpful. Hydraphase received an excellent score of 93/100 on the Yuka app so it is a good product.

Not for my skin

I have sensitive skin and have bought many of your products and have been really happy with them. I decided to try another one of your products but I did not get on with it at all. The scent was very strong, stronger than the other products and as soon as I applied it to my skin I could feel it starting to tingle and become hot. I took it off immediately and tried it again after a few days but got the same reaction. I’m afraid I will not be using this again.

Allergic reaction

I was looking for a product for my dehydrated skin and this one looked promising. I tested it on my hand at the store and the texture felt amazing, so I bought it. However, after applying it on my face at night I had a pretty bad reaction - all of my face and my nose went beet red colour and I felt burning sensation, so I washed it off. Disappointed that it didn’t work out for me, even though the package says that it is suitable for sensitive skin.

Although this does seem like a good moisturizer, and does provide the hydration that it promises, the smell is putrid !!!! Sadly, a game changer and although I will use the whole product, I will not be buying again purely based on the smell. My skin care routine is therapeutic for me, something I look forward to, however the smell of this product changes everything. Please make it fragrance free !!!

Not for my skin but maybe for your skin?

I really shouldn't have ordered this because it has scent in it and I was just way too optimistic about what my skin was going to do with that. The smell was nice, the texture was lovely, nice to apply (I love gel lotions) but yeah I woke up the next morning after applying and my skin was UPSET. So just be careful if you have sensitive skin. I'd love to try this in a scent-free version but until then, I'll skin to more sensitive skin formulas.

Did not meet expectations

I recently purchased this product, used it twice and it caused insane breakouts. Upon later research, there is pore clogging ingredients it in. It is also very very heavily fragranced.

Strong scent!

I bought this as part of a trial pack and like it, aside from the super strong scent. I wish it was scent free, or at least had a nice light scent like the micellar face wash. Not sure if I’ll rebuy because of this.

Very disappointed

I have been using the original formula for 15 years. I have very dry skin and it was perfect. Took me years to find it. Now that they “improved” the old formula, this cream is unusable. It is sticky, smells and leaves film on your skin. I was advised by the Laroche Expert to try tolerien cream instead. While it has no smell, it causes my eyelids to itch and swell. I am extremely disappointed.

Scent is so strong and horrible

I want to love this product for the hydration but I gagged over the very strong scent. It smells like old man’s cologne. Sorry, just need to be honest. I wish this company would remove the fragrance from all of their products as they market to people with sensitive skin. To me, it seems obvious that fragrance of any kind would be a turn off if you have sensitive skin.

Fantastic all-round moisturiser

It's light, sinks in quickly, packaging is neat, easy. The cream does feel like it keeps hydrating for hours and hours, but this didn't feel like a necessary additional product in La Roche Posay's already extensive range. I'm not sure who it's for, when there are existing products that do similar.
