Starting with texture, the serum has a lightweight, almost watery gel consistency that spreads effortlessly across the skin without any pulling or tugging-it feels very elegant and modern compared to greasier retinol formulas. In terms of clarity, I noticed a genuine improvement in my overall skin clarity after about two weeks of consistent use (using it every other night as recommended). My pores looked smaller, and those little congested bumps on my forehead smoothed out significantly. Regarding stickiness, this is a major win: the serum absorbs almost instantly and leaves zero sticky or tacky residue behind. It's not really worked for all skin

I used Vichy Mineral 89 and liked it, so I bought this Vichy serum at Rexall in Vancouver to try some months ago. However, right after using it, my skin felt a burning sensation, and I had to stop immediately. I tried using it one more time, but the same reaction happened again. It seems that this product may not be suitable for my skin.

Horrible

Skin turned very red, warm and itchy. Felt like it was burning, lasted 3 days with that. Still red and mild pain on day 4, skin looks like it’s peeling off. I would like someone to contact me. Tried using a moisturizing lotion when it was burning and that made it burn more

Excellent Serum / Best OtC retinol I've used

After a few weeks of use i can visually see a difference. Skin is more even toned, crows feet absolutely minimized. You can barely see them now. I even noticed a difference in the static wrinkles on my forehead. Goes great with the vitamin C serum. Just put on at night before your moisturizer & wake up with skin as smooth as a baby's bottom.

Did not see any results after use,

Unfortunately, this product did not work for me after applying daily for two weeks. I developed a really bad skin allergy from it, not on my face, but on my neck area turned very and blotchy.

Had a reaction after the second application!

Lovely product but unfortunately I had a reaction after the second application, it may just not suit my skin ! Burning sensation on my face and red itchy rash on my neck. I don’t usually have any issues reacting to creams so it was first for me & I am afraid to use it again as just got the rash sorted !

Excellent product with 2 caveats

I enjoy this product, it leaves my skin smoother than any other retinol serums I’ve tried, soaks up fast and no irritation. Seems to also help neutralize dark spots after recent breakouts, as it promotes cell turnover. THAT SAID. The DAO on it (check back of bottle) is 3M, so you have to use it up within 3 months for most efficacy! Since it doesn’t take much for a full face application, if you toss the rest after 3 months it’s a lot of waste. They should come out with a “travel” size option. Caveat #2: Alcohol Denat. is ingredient #5. I suppose that’s why the serum is so lightweight and soaks up well, but I wish this ingredient wasn’t there. So use this baby fast and be sure to moisturize *heavily* afterwards. All things considered, I plan to repurchase.

Gave me a rash

I used this product twice total within the first week of trying (I used my retinol before this 3-4 times a week). By the next day after the second application, I had an intense rash on both my face and neck. Super bummed and afraid to use it again now.

Feels Good

I've only been using this for a short time, so far, but am finding it really nice. It's very light, like a lotion, not thick or heavy and a little goes a long way. The applicator is very helpful in that you squeeze the bottom and it dispenses the exact amount you need, which I think is great as I always seem to go over the top, using too much. It absorbs nicely and quickly without leaving any stickiness on my skin so I can apply my make up without having to wait. I have certainly noticed a change in the feel of my skin, it's less bumpy and more smooth. It's fragrance free, suitable for all skin types and generally makes my skin feel good. it

Slow But Steady Improvement

I like the consistency

It went on smooth, absorbed quickly, and didn't leave a sticky residue. A little goes a long way. Make Sure You Wear Your Sunscreen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This serum works well, but you really do need to wear your sunscreen. It makes your face feel a little sensitive first few times you use it. A slight tingle for me, but that means your face is sensitive to sun, so put that sunscreen on, I used mine as a moisturizer in the morning under makeup and I could see results in about a month.

Youthful skin

Very nice

Do not use this product without a moisturizer. I have sensitive skin. I learned quickly of the need to add a moisturizer base while using this product. I ised this at night and Vichy's Vitamin C serum. I don't known if it was one or the other or a combination of the two, but I experienced a burning sensation on my first use. The second time using the serum, I put a little moisturizer on my face and then used the retinol. This worked for me. My wrinkles have not disappeared, but they are now less noticeable.

All of the product gets stuck or clogged in the nozzle. So if you're lucky, a drop at a time will dispense. Otherwise, nothing. Without the nozzle, watch out for Niagra Falls! Product running down my arm! It was messy. Did I notice any improvement in wrinkles or skin texture? NO. Only saving grace is that it's fragrance free & in an opaque bottle. Strong Retinol, Poor Applicator

I didn't really notice any benefits of using the product for several weeks though. The consistency is good and easy to smooth into my skin, but the applicator is terrible. I've been using it for a month and I've seen some of my dark spots fade a little and my skin is smoother. The packaging is very unique, I've never used a product with this type of dropper, but it's not particularly easy to use. The consistency of this is watery but not too runny like it's vitamin C counterpart. It has a little more viscosity so it's easier to apply and a more pleasant experience overall. It's a milky white color and I find that it leaves my skin so hydrated, sometimes I forget I haven't moisturized yet! You do have to ease into the product, so I did have to be more mindful during my skincare when I added this. Overall I'd recommend it. As someone in my late 30s, Retinol is definitely something I want to add to my skincare!

Made my face peel

Gentle Retinol and helped fade dark spots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product 2x a week at night after cleaning and before moisturizer. I started this product after using the vitamin C Serum and on alternate days because I wanted to see how each would work. The vitamin C Serum made me purge but the Retinol Serum help clean those pores and fade the spots the purging left behind. On the nights I used the Retinol those little white bumps would decrease significantly by the morning.

Great product- caution if you have sensitive skin

I was initially skeptical of the directions on the packaging to ease in to using this product-- trust me, you want to do this. I have sensitive skin and the first couple applications were really irritating. After the third or fourth try, I began to notice a positive difference in my skin. I've worked this into my nightly routine a couple evenings a week and have really noticed a difference in my skin; it's brighter, my breakouts are less frequent, and it feels healthy. Be sure to use in combination with a great moisturizer.

Anti Aging Miracle

Powerfull product

At the beginning it asks to go slow and increasing within the weeks. Its my third week and I feel that applying everyday is still too strong. I've got some sensitivity in my skin but the texture does feel better, smooth and reduced pores. I didn't notice improvements on wrinkles yet, maybe it is too soon to tell. Loved this Retinol Serum

No change in skin

I've been using this product for over a month. Unfortunately, this product did not work either and there was no change in my skin. Pretty great!!

Takes time to work, but it DOES work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm used to retinol and I STILL had a hard time the first couple times I used this and my skin hardly ever reacts to anything, but I'm gonna chalk it up to this actuality working- and it does. Definitely see and feel smoother skin and fine lines smoothed out. It also really brightens up my face. I am a former smoker and while I don't have wrinkling around my mouth I do have noticeable lines, but after a month using this they are much LESS noticeable. It takes such a small amount this bottle will take a long time to finish, so I feel like it's very cost effective for what you're getting, a real bargain which I love. Definitely worth a try for anyone who wants to see real results

Don't Expect Anything Less from Vichy

I've used other brands, so I was excited to have the opportunity to try Vichy Liftactiv 0.2% Retinol. I read the directions and made sure to prep my dry skin for night-time application. However, I noticed that there would be some stinging even after I applied a Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Vichy Retinol, my nightly moisturizer, and Maracuja Oil on top off it all. The next day, my skin would look radiant, more supple and even-toned. I also would have to add a couple layering products to my a.m. routine to protect my skin. I like it, but I have to do more to get more.....

This is good stuff

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product t for a while now and eased into routine with it as retinol are powerful and you need your skin to be exposed to it in degrees it can take. I feel the product working when I see my skin peeling and dark spots peeling away with it. It's slow like it should be and requires dedicated religiously repeated regimen but the results are WOW!I also love the packaging as it makes using the produ t so easy and the formula spreads well . Bonus point , it's very good-looking and looks nice on my bathroom counter as well!
