Gently smoothes rough and bumpy skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am prone to rough, bumpy skin on my thighs and I had thought the only solution was to use an abrasive scrub, which does the job but can be rough on the skin so I was excited to get the opportunity to try this out. Initially I wondered how this product could possibly exfoliate my skin enough to reduce rough, bumpy skin as it has a rich, creamy texture and doesn't feel at all abrasive. And yet it does. It feels nicely indulgent when applying, and my skin feels soothed and smoothed. I love how soft my skin feels, and it feels quite moisturised after applying but I don't feel it offers the longevity of moisturisation claimed so I apply it morning and evening to get the best results.

Great for dry skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Cerave smoothing cream is really good. I have a very dry skin on my body, especially the legs. That area is quite itchy aswell. -The cream is very hydrating and my skin was left moisturised for the whole day. - There is no irritation after applying this cream, it is very gentle on the skin. -The cream is very thick and rich in texture, however not greasy and sticky. - The cream absorbs quickly leaving the skin soft. -This a fragrance free cream. I definitely recommend it.

Love it, has become a staple

I have been using this for about 3 months now and my skin has never been so good. I have sensitive, acne prone, combination skin. It’s evened out the oil distribution, improved hydration and cleared up my acne. To do face and neck I only need about two pea sized amounts.

Impressive SA smoothing cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the SA smoothing cream for a few weeks now. First use I was surprised at how thick it was but it went on smoothly and lightly, that it sinks in nice and easily as you massage it into the skin. I have tested it on a few areas and noticed the benefits already. Skin feels softer and smoother and it also seems to be brightening the skin as well. This is a lovely soothing, gentle cream that has reduced itchiness and dryness and I would really recommend it!

I tend to apply all over the body after a shower so this size allows for a decent amount of full body applications without it running out too quickly or, it being left open for too long and the properties /ingredients weakening. The texture is nice for the body, it is thick enough for the intended area it’s being applied yet light enough to absorb quickly without having to wait to dress. It feels dry to the touch quite quickly. It is also fragrance free so good for those with sensitivities. I used this all over but in relation to the target areas - knees, lower legs, heels I noticed a marked improvement after around 2 weeks. My skin generally was left feeling softer, smoother and less scaly so I did find the exfoliating claims were working. I did also have a patch of slightly bumpy skin which initially I didn’t think changed. However, with prolonged use I did notice it flatten & now it is barely visible. Great for Dry Skin

In terms of the reducing bumps and appearance of KP I have not seen a pronounced affect but maybe with long term use benefits may be seen.

SA Smoothing Cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cream is designed for dry, rough and bumpy skin and gently exfoliates using 10% Urea plus Salicylic Acid. It also brightens the skin with Niacinamide and nourishes with Shea Butter, while repairing the skin barrier thanks to Ceramides. The texture of this cream is quite thick but it absorbs easily into the skin without feeling sticky. My skin feels so much softer and smoother after using it, even the following day after showering. Would definitely recommend it even if you don't have rough skin as a body exfoliating and moisturising product for soft and supple skin.

Amazing Moisturiser!

This cream is life saving for very dry, rough and bumpy skin. I love the thick texture of this skin which though requires some time to completely absorb into the skin but once it’s absorbed you don’t even feel it. I suffer from very dry skin especially on my legs and arms. It’s almost more than a week now since I started using it and I can clearly see the difference. My skin felt more hydrated and smoother and now only needs a tiny amount to moisturise my skin. It has Ceramide which slowly restores natural skin barrier. It also contains urea and salicylic acid which helps to exfoliate and soften and smooths rough skin. Highly recommend it if you suffer from very dry skin like mine.

Such a lovely rich cream

This is a lovely rich cream which applies easily and absorbs into the skin quickly. The cream is fragrance free and a little cream goes along way it is enriched with Salicylic Acid and Urea and 3 essential ceramides to protect the skin’s natural barrier. I have very dry skin so this was perfect to use to rehydrate my skin and it left it feeling soft and smooth. You can use this cream as often as required I found it worked best after my shower as it helped lock in the moisture.

Helped with Keratosis pilaris

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had really bad Keratosis Pilaris on my upper arms, so when I was selected to test CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream as part of the CeraVe Community I thought this would be the perfect place to test it. The cream has a thick and luxurious feel and a mild scent. It was easy to apply and quickly absorbed. Since beginning to use the cream I have notice a big difference in the texture of my skin. My skin was quite rough with red little spots all other. Whereas now my skin is smooth, the spots have all gone down and even though I still have red marks they aren't as bad as before. Although I think this is a great cream for the body, I wasn't a fan when I tested it on my face. I found the thickness of the cream was too much and it felt quite heavy on my skin.

Smoothing cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe I've gone through 49 years of trying every product on the market to eliminate my rough skin on my upper arms and I've finally found the product that not only helps but as completely eliminated my problem areas, I had my bath as normal then creamed myself all over ( even on areas that I didn't have a problem with ) the cream blended into my body like a second skin, there wasn't a over powering scent which I loved, what I loved the most is when I woke up 7 hours later my skin still felt super soft, since menopause I seem to wake up and look like a snake shedding its skin, but now I wake up feeling good and looking nourished, also this product was great on my elbows and seemed to get rid of that hard Brown elbow look

Thick and moisturising

My first impression was that the cream was very thick and a lot thicker than I would personally pick for myself. When applying I found that because of how thick it was it took longer than a usual moisturiser to rub in and that I did need to use slightly more. Often I see products which state they have all day hydration and after a few hours it no longer gives the hydrating feeling however with this my skin definitely felt hydrated the next day. It contains 3 ceramides which help to protect the skins barrier and is fragrance free. I did notice a reduction in the dry patches on my arms which I have been struggling to reduce for a while and that my skin was starting to look smoother.

Smooth skin

Great for rough skin

Skin saviour!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m no stranger to salicylic acid and the benefits of it as I’m an avid user of Cerave SA smoothing cleanser as well as using Salicylic acid serums over the years. I was very excited to received this body cream from Cerave community to test and review. It arrived at perfect time when my skin was struggling really badly, specially my upper arms which get really dry, itchy and break out in itchy dry spots. My skin was very dry and irritated and had broken out in bumps because I had been itching it mad. Even though I was moisturising but nothing was working. I used the crave SA smoothing cream for a week and happy to report that it has nourished my body skin specially my itchy upper arms and has healed all the itchy dry spots. The ingredients work in great harmony; Salicylic acid and urea help exfoliate the skin gently while the three ceramides help hydrated and nourish the skin at the same time. The texture is just so dreamy, it’s so rich yet so light at the same time. It doesn’t leave skin sticky or tacky at all, instead it absorbs in the skin instantly. I’m using it on my knees where I suffer from chicken skin (keratosis pilaris) and will report back in couple. I’d highly recommend it to everyone who’s suffering from fry, rough and bumpy body skin.

High hopes, but disappointed!

My thoughts are that for someone who has very dry skin and bumpy areas on my body I thought this would be ideal. However after only a few days of using I have to admit that I am not really impressed with it. I do believe it is nourishing but it's left a tacky feel on my skin as the day went on. I did not feel it did anything for my skin apart from it feeling sticky and not smooth. I also do prefer body creams with abit of scent.

Revitalising

Silky soft

So soft and effective

SA Smoothing Body Cream I have been using this cream for about one week now and I have seen a vast difference in my skin. I used the SA smoothing cream on my body , particularly my elbows, knees, ankles and also my hands. I find these areas are very dry and rough. I really wanted to concentrate on these areas as they cause me alot of irritation. I used the cream in the morning and evenings as I found these timings more suitable to me. I found the cream to be fast absorbing and very soft on my skin. The cream does not have a scent which is not an issue for me. After using for a few days I noticed the dry patches were less irritated and even felt smoother. SA SMOOTHING BODY CREAM

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly I was so excited to test this product coz for years I've always suffered rough bumpy skin on top of my arms and on my thighs, and no amount of exfoliating and cream ever got rid of my problem areas...UNTILL NOW!! I take a shower as normal and made sure my skin was completely dry, I then proceeded to slap on lots of product ( all over not just on problem areas) The cream immediately seemed to be sucked in and thanked by my skin, my skin felt nourished and baby smooth to the touch, I also loved the fact it didn't have any over powering smell, I actually love scents but my boyfriend hates it if I climb into with any scents on as he says it penetrates through to the bedsheets, happy boyfriend happy life! Also I must add that since going through menopause I sometimes wake up next day and seem to shed skin like a snake 🐍 but since using this body cream I wake up 7 hours later with my skin looking and feeling as nourished as I did when first applying. I've been using it now every night after my bath and hand on my heart can tell you this product is like magic in a bottle for me. My son is now using it also as he too suffers dry bumpy skin on his upper arms and he to is amazed at the change in his skin texture.

I have dry and bumpy skin, since using SA smoothing cream I have noticed a difference already. Thick texture full of hydration keeps my body moisturised the whole day. Perfect for sensitive skin

Cerave is quite a famous skincare brand at the moment so I had high hopes for this skin. The packaging is the same as any other creative product. The signature blue and white coloured theme. The product comes in a large tube and it makes it really easy to use and carry the product. It's fragrance-free, non-irritant and non-sticky. It contains three essential Ceramides, Salicylic Acid & 10% Urea, which ensures it exfoliates your skin and makes it smooth. It absorbs into the skin quickly and feels quite hydrated. My skin is dry and rough so I need to apply a moisturiser every day in order to keep my skin well moisturized. This body cream really helps to combat my skin dryness and make it smooth and soft. I would highly recommend this cream.

My skin loves this product!

Fantastic Moisturiser!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed with this moisturiser. One thing I really like is the packaging. I can very easily squeeze, and control the amount needed without making a mess. The texture is creamy and thick, non greasy, and aborbs very easily into the skin. When applying this cream, it needs a tiny bit of pressure to rub it in, which I believe further helps with the exfoliation process. Although there is a slight stickiness, my skin looked and felt instantly smooth and moisturised. I even noticed that hours later my skin still felt moisturised, which never happens with other creams. With continued use I've actually noticed that the bumpy parts of my skin look a lot smoother. Also a little bit goes a long way so I feel like this cream will last me for awhile. Overall I would highly recommend this product to anyone with dry, rough, or bumpy skin.

Magic cream

Severe reaction

Had a bad severe allergic reaction to this moisturiser. Not sure how but I have been using the SA cleanser for a while and had no reaction but this moisturiser made my face red burning itchy.

Too thick

I bought the cream and the cleanser. I initially tried using as per directions, however, I have found I lather the smoothing cream on my face first, then remove in the shower and then use the cleanser. My skin is smooth and hydrated feels and looks so much better

Ruined my skin

After reading reviews I see that it’s not meant for the face but surely if you’re producing a moisturiser that isn’t suitable for the face.. you might have the common sense to mention this on the packaging?!!!! This cream is super moisturising and a great consistency. Cleared up my buttne (lol) and definitely helps the appearance and feel of KP on the arms - but, for me at least, does not get rid of it completely. Decently priced as well so definitely worth buying.

Helps so far

Purchased for my partner, after seeing recommendations on social media dermatologists. Trying on one side only for a before and after affect. So far, after 5 days of using once a day, I felt as though his keratosis (red bumpy skin on legs) was less red, compared to the untreated side. The bumps are still there, but not as red. Used thinly, as product is thicker in texture. Absorbs fast, no smell, easy to use.

I'd use it on my body maybe once a week and I found that it made my skin soft and smooth, however after a couple months of using this I noticed dry, red patches on my legs and couldn't quite figure out where they had come from at first and carried on using the moisturiser as I normally would, however it got rapidly worse very quickly and I soon realised it must be the moisturiser. I stopped using it and the patches have disappeared, albeit left some markings on my legs. Just be wary of usage!

My best cream!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the SA smoothing cream about 2 weeks ago and my skin improved dramatically after a few days. History of my skin, I suffer badly with KP and also folliculitis so any form of hair remover or tight clothing can cause my skin to have a break out with can be really painful. I decided to shave my bikini area and legs after a week of using, the experience was much more pleasant no nasty cuts and next to none folliculitis breakout! My skin is so much clearer and smoother and my KP is visibly clearer. I apply generously before bed everyday all over my legs and arms mostly, the cream feels nice, no scent and has the whole night to absorb. I have a quick shower in the morning. Burned my skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this product as I have very bumpy skin and have heard good things from other people. Immediately after putting this on my face I could feel a burning sensation that lasted all day. This left my skin feeling dry and sore. I would be very cautious in buying this product if you have sensitive skin, especially dry skin as it seemed to burn more in these areas.
