My favourite sun protection

This Solar Protective Water is definitely my favourite protection against UVA & UVB rays. It applies to the skin so easily with a simple spray. Easy to apply everywhere on your body and I apply it onto my hands for facial and neck application, for obvious reasons you don't want to spray your face directly or risk soaking your hair. As it contains Hyaluronic Acid your skin is left feeling so soft and smooth. The 200ml bottle it comes in means it's extremely easy and convenient to pop in your handbag for regular top ups when you're on the go. It doesn't stain your clothing either. Seriously I've had my Hubby help with top ups and he may have 'accidentally' sprayed my top (laziness because wasn't paying attention when he was spraying) Offers such high protection, especially when I've been out when the sun's at it's hottest... The dreaded peak time (I'm so naturally pale that I try to avoid spending too much time outside during those particular hours) and I've not caught any colour at all. Always remember to really shake the bottle before applying to skin. This is the product I've most recommended to friends and family for protection in the sun and it's even helped me Nana (who unfortunately usually ends up with sunburnt ears) and it's been a miracle for her. Her 75 year old ears are saved at long last! Admittedly I've not found a Vichy product I love, but right now this is my favourite.

Must have every summer

My go-to the last 3 years. I am buying every year 2-3 when I am on holiday. I love how hydrated my skin looks and is easy to apply. Gives you a glowy skin and full protection. I love it

Very very oily and greasy

Best SPF50

Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 must have product. Good protection, easy to apply, lightweight on a skin dosn't leave oily skin,so refreshing and lovely smell .

So convenient

I purchased this last year and I have just bought a new bottle. The heat last year was extremely hot and with the added protection from both UVA & UVB rays this bottle was great for keeping my skin protected. You can apply it anywhere - your body and your face. The bottle is a squeeze top making application so easy and convenient. Apply to skin 15 minutes before leaving to go out - literally spray and go. As the bottle is a great size you can pop it into your handbag for regular top ups. I chose to reapply every 90 minutes and it offers fantastic protection. This product contains Vichy Mineralizing Water and Hyaluronic Acid, which leaves your skin both super soft AND hydrated. As it is water based it is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. This product absorbs fast into your skin and is not greasy and does not cause any stains on your skin or clothes. It is available in both SPF30 and SPF50 offering high protection with both. I personally buy the SPF50 as I am particularly pale skinned and I did not get any sun damage to my skin last year. Literally magic in a bottle - which lasts as it comes in a convenient 200ml size.

Amazing sun protector

An amazing sunscreen

I have been using this product for two years now and it is my favourite body sunscreen. I really love its summery fragrance and its watery texture. The spray pump is super comfy to use and the product itself is easy to apply. Despite its watery texture, it is non greasy and it absorbs quite quickly on my skin, leaving a dewy finish.

I purchased this to take with me on my vacation, I used it on my body (I didn't use it on my face because I have other vichy products that I put on my face), I love this product! It has the consistency of water, super light, refreshing. Leaves the skin soft and hydrated, not at all greasy! Once applied it is like not wearing it so it is light, but it protects very well from the sun

Happy customer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this product a few times - on my face under makeup - and am very happy with it. The first time I used it I tried to spray it directly onto my face, but the spray is quite strong so am now spraying it into my hands and then patting it on. This works much better. It has a mild smell an doesn't bother my sensitive skin or eyes as long as I don't apply it right up to the eyeline. It leaves a hydrated feel and my (light) make up goes on fine over the top.

Perfect for sensitive skin

Super light weight

The spray (so much easier to apply this way!) is super light weight, and hydrating on the skin. Smells great as well and is absorbed into the skin quickly. Water Hydrating SPF 50 Must Have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Summer at full steam and hot! Perfect Time to Test and Review Vichy Capital Soleil Water Hydrating SPF 50 and yes brilliant product. My first use was on the beach and I say all over the body: the product is easy to apply (just spritz it on), light consistency, not greasy, absorbs quickly, gives a refreshing sensation to the skin, extremely fragrant, leaves the skin super soft and hydrated (my skin is very dry and for sure she and I love this product). I continue to use it daily on the face and arms (areas that are exposed to the sun daily) and it is being great because in addition to all the qualities I mentioned above, the SPF50 with this summer that it is doing in the UK, we really need a great product to protect our skin and we must have ! My evaluation for this product is excellent for both sun exposure on the beach or for daily use. Thank you Vichy for providing us with quality products!

Lovely lightweight SPF 50

Being fair skinned, I always find it hard to find a factor 50 that isn't a thick white formula, but this is brilliant. The oil like formula is lightweight and not greasy what so ever. Would really recommend, especially if you have fair skin.

My new go to SPF for body & face

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a self-employed gardener so exposed to the sun more than most. Since having a cancerous mole cut out I've taken the need to routinely apply a high SPF much more seriously - especially in summer. I've previously only used sun creams so was a bit dubious that this spray would offer the same protection but having used it during the record-breaking temperatures of July, I'm convinced that it does. It's much nicer to use than a sun cream too as it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy & in need of a shower. It feel oily when first applied but absorbs very quickly leaving skin baby-soft & hydrated. It sprays at all angles & only has a hint of fragrance - it reminds me of Nivea so is gender-neutral. Great used instead of body lotion if you shower in the morning.

SPF 50 SOLAR PROTECTIVE WATER WITH HYALURONIC ACID

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the texture of this, it feels very smoothing and luxuriously moisturising. I love both this and the SPF50 solar protection water with beta-carotene and use both side by side. I prefer this one (the SPF 50 SOLAR PROTECTION WATER WITH HYALURONIC ACID for my face and my shins as I feel it moisturises more with it containing the hyaluronic acid and I am not worried that the beta-carotene would highlight/make more noticeable any larger pores on my face. I use the SPF50 SOLAR PROTECTION WATER WITH BETA-CAROTENE for my body, particularly my legs and especially my thighs and upper arms. I like the size and shape of the bottle, remember to give it a good shake before you spray and do spray it into your hands and rub on your face as it says on the instructions as it does sting if you spray it straight on your face and the spray goes into your eyes. They do warn us! Think it is really good value, it gives me confidence that I’m protecting my skin with the SPF50 and as I spend a lot of time out of doors this is a necessity for me!

Next level sunscreen - hydrating, luxurious to apply

This texture and formulation I have never come across in a sunscreen before and it quite revolutionary! It is not thick or difficult to apply - absorbs like a dream. Pretty decent

Shake and go

You have to shake it well before use as it comes in two layers which have to be mixed. It smells fresh and clean but not overpowering, nice and mild. Fantastic protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have terribly fair skin and whenever I go out in the sun I use factor 50 as I burn easily. The problem is some factor 50 creams are like white emulsion paint and prove difficult to actually rub in and not leave you looking as though you are wearing heavy make up. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the solar protective water, but I love it! You need to give the bottle a good shake and that’s literally the hard work part. I sprayed it on and rubbed it in, a lot quicker than using cream - fragrance was absolutely fine not an overpowering chemical one you sometimes getI have been using this in our recent hot spell and no sun burn and no stickiness - really pleased with it.

One of my new favourite products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This comes in a nice sturdy plastic spray bottle, which after a shake to mix the contents, dispenses a lovely fine mist which is easy to direct where you want it to go, and you don’t end up spraying the furnishings and the cat as well. It glides beautifully over the skin and absorbers after a few seconds with no tacky residue, and left my skin feeling soft and silky. The smell is minimal and disappears after a few minutes. I only applied it once and in our current heatwave I was able to sit outside without my skin going red, but obviously that’s me someone else may need to reapply. Very happy with this product and will definitely repurchase.

Strong and trustworthy SPF

Also a lot lighter than usual creams. The texture is a little oily/sticky but a little translucent powder on my face goes a long way. No prickly heat!

Protective Water SPF50 Hydrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my youth I lived in Italy and spent the summers literally frying in olive oil on the beach. As a result my skin is quite sun damaged. Now I always wear SPF50 as I don't want it to get any worse. This product is the lightest I've ever used but offers super sun protection. It's easily absorbed, hydrating but not greasy. I'm delighted it's not thick and white like so many other high protection sun creams. Love the texture and light fragrance.

Hydration in a Sunscreen

This SolarProtective Water contains Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate my skin whilst giving me a great Factor 50 protection. It contains hyaluronic acid with 40% Vichy Mineralizing Water. Spf 50 worth wearing

It is easy to apply (don't forget to shake first), doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or oily, doesn't transfer onto my clothes but does provide excellent protection. I've been using it for the last few days and have none of the sticky feeling that 'normal' lotions give after applying during the day, the water base also seems to make it easier to wash off afterwards. All in all, a really great suntan product, certainly one I'll be using in future.

An excellent summer essential !

Shake shake shake!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing I didn’t do was shake the bottle enough! Once I shook properly, the product sprayed evenly and quickly. The fluid sank into my skin and did leave me feeling hydrated but I did feel slightly sticky. I felt fully protected and confident with this being factor 50! Once showered at the end of the day, my skin still felt soft and hydrated. I like the slight floral fragrance, which wasn’t at all overpowering. Looking forward to using on a daily basis, with the bonus of knowing my skin is hydrated as well as protected.

Amazing protection, non sticky and non oily.

When i saw this one i was excited to give it a go as i love vichy products. The product was super light and easy to apply, just spray onto the skin. It felt just like water. It soaked into my skin very fast. It didnt make my skin feel clogged, it was very nice and light.. felt like i didnt have anything on. I used this throught the day at the beach and i didnt burn at all. It was very good at protecting my skin from the rays. I would highly recommend this product.

good spf protection

I’ve been using only spf 50 products in the last couple of years and pleased to finally find one which leaves the skin hydrated and non-greasy or sticky. It’s easy to apply, texture is light, didn’t get any burns whilst using and I love the discreet glowing left.

Excellent protection

Capital Soleil Solar Protective Water SPF 50 Hydrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really happy with this product. Need to give it a really good shake before use and when spraying on it smooths into the skin easily leaving a soft sheen. No real fragrance to speak of which suits me. Really does make my skin feel soft and look nice without being greasy or sticky. For a body sunscreen this is really lovely to use and with the added hyaluronic acid it should keep the skin moisturised .. a real bonus.

Excellent

At the moment I've been using it now and again when the weather has been nice enough in my arms, but I intend to use it on my holidays. The application is quite easy and quick, after shaking well you just apply it and spread in circular motion. It absorbs and smells wonderfully, and leaves your skin with a lovely shimmery glow.

Light, fresh and effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this in the UK during the recent hot sunny weather and have to say I love it. I normally use an spf face cream only, but have also used this on my face. It absorbs beautifully, no greasy residue and smells fresh, not chemically or overpowering. I haven't burned at all despite many hours in the sun and really love this product. Next holiday abroad it's definitely coming with me!

Great but sticky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sun protection aspect of this product is very good, since using this I have not burnt at all which I’m really happy about. I love that it is in a spray format I makes it a lot quicker, easier and fuss free to apply. My skin felt really moisturised when using this, love that it has a lot of moisturising ingredients. The only thing I dislike is that I find it does leave a sticky residue which is a bit disappointing but overall a good product. I would be interested to see how this applies over make up.

Fast and easy floral scented application but high factor protection so what's not to like?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an oil and water product that needs to be shaken up thoroughly before use. It offers high UVA/UVB protection. It is a little oily on first application but is very quickly absorbed so avoids fabric staining. It can be used on the face as well as the body by spraying into the hands and then applying to the face. After allowing a minute to absorb it's fine to use under makeup. It's ideal for summer use in any location, even at the beach, as it has some water resistance. It's quick and easy to apply and reapply without the need to continuously rub into the skin although it is moisturising due to its hyaluronic acid content. It has a light floral scent which makes it a pleasure to use particularly in warm summer weather. All in all, an innovative but high factor sun protector that I'm happy to use all year round.

Easy Peasy lemon squeezey “

Perfect for all the family

Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was asked to try and then review this product and I’m pleased that I did. The water comes in a little bottle and you are advised to shake it before applying to mix the oil and the water. Once applied, it rubs in perfectly with no residue or tackiness on the skin. The smell is typical of sun cream which I tend to like but others might not. I can honestly say that this has made such a difference to the moisturised and softness of my body, particularly my arms. It has also stopped me from burning in the sun. I would definitely recommend this product for all ages.

Hydrating

On application however it does feel quite greasy but does quickly absorb into the skin. It has a pleasant smell too unlike other spfs. I have vitiligo so an spf50 is a must for me and I haven’t burned so far.

Refreshing, light and protective

Moisturizes despite being water based, a slight oil ingredient that gives the skin a lovely natural glow. High sun protection, I have used it every day during the recent hot spell, without my usual prickling and the onset of burning. Fragrance free, didn't make any marks on my t-shirts, great for face and body.

Hydrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lovely consistency, a little sticky but light. It absorbs in to the skin but feels like it offers good protection. Its difficult to say if the spf is as stated, I’m no scientist, but my skin felt more hydrated when I used this and I didn’t burn. I personally wouldn’t use it on my face but it felt very comfortable on my neck and shoulders.

Brilliant suncream

Disappoints!

This product is so disappointing because it seems like its going to be so good; it's "water" it's a spray bottle, there's hyaluronic acid in it.. sounds great right? You read the label, turns out, you have to spray it into your hands, might as well have been a lotion, why put it in a spray bottle? It's misleading. Then, it's not water, it's oily, so that's off the table too. Finally and this is really the part that even confuses me: it burns in your eyes! With all the huge focus on good sunscreens these days, you wonder, how could a company make such a mistake as make it burn in your eyes? Seems like a bare minimum requirement. I actually resent this product.
