Great for Rosacea & Seborrheic Dermatitis

Great sun cream! I have Rosacea and Seborrheic Dermatitis. I have just used this product every day for the last seven days and had no issues with burning, stinging irritating rashes, it’s refreshing to be able to use a sun screen that doesn’t cause a reaction. I would have given 5 stars, however this is quite expensive and the pump is a pain - you have to squeeze the top at the same time you press the pump - packaging could be improved! Please do not discontinue this product.

Bad formula, oily and greasy

This new formulation is so bad, leaves the skin oily and greasy, doesn’t control tje shine and produces more oil. Please bring back the old formula antelios XL antishine dry touch. I used it for years and was better.

Best oil control, mattifying SPF on the market

La Roche Posay's Anthelios SPF range has been & will continue to be my absolute favourite SPF skincare range for my 35 yr/old combination - oily skin type. The fact that this SPF IS GENUINELY MATTIFYING after testing so many oil control/ mattifying SPF's on the market for years, I can hands-down say this is the BEST & only SPF that really controls my oily t-zone, which can look greasy - especially in the hotter weather. This SPF helps to control my oils whilst still feeling moisturising & improving my skin texture and appearance. TIP FOR USE: as this SPF is so mattifying it absorbs into your skin REALLY quickly, so I'd recommend applying it to your face in sections eg: forehead, nose & chin, then each cheek & your neck! If you do have slightly drier skin, then use your light moisturiser or hyaluronic acid first - i use my vitamin C serum then this as my moisturiser in hotter months personally, my evening skincare is more moisture driven! I highly recommend this as well as their Oil-correct during cooler months as it's not so mattifying. In my opinion, it is worth every £ as it lasts for a good few months with daily use for anyone with oiler skin & t-zones

Bring back old formula

They’ve changed the formula and the new gel formula is very sticky and I find it makes me shiny/oily and causes me to break out. I used to love the old formula and it was honestly one of the best products I had ever used - Improved the texture and look of my skin, kept my skin matte ALL DAY and didn’t cause any breakouts. Please bring back the old creme formula, this new one is rubbish and leaves yellow stains on white clothes on top everything else that is bad about it.

Summer Saver!

This is the perfect sunscreen for oily skin in the summer! My skin is at its shiniest during summer but this didn’t add to the shine. In fact, it actually mattified my skin. Will definitely buy again.

Oil Gel crème oil control

Why have they changed the old anti brilliance cream to this new oil control cream. It is yellow and greasy, the old cream was lovely, and my go to. Cannot use this, at all.

Nice formula but pils badly

I really wanted to like this, it doesn’t have a strong scent, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave too much of a white cast. My skin looks great after it has fully absorbed, smooth and hydrated without looking oily or overly shiny. The only issue is that it pils badly. If I touch my face at all I end up with little white specs of product stuck to my face. Because of this I haven’t tried it under makeup as it doesn’t seem like a good idea. It’s a shame because I was really excited to try.

Why changing the formula?

I used to love the old formula, was absolutely perfect for combination oily skin, but the new one it's the opposite, it's sticky, greasy, doesn't go well under makeup, it's yellow and it stains the clothes. Does anyone know why they changed the formula?

Would've given 5 stars to the older formula but the new one leaves my skin greasy and uncomfortable. I wish LRP brings back the old white matte formula. It was excellent for oily, sensitive skin.

yellow color and stained my shirt

this new formula is yellow in color and when i applied it to my neck my shirt became yellow and could not wash it off :( old formula was way better

Just ok

Nice texture and consistency but it always pilled when applied. I couldn’t stop it from happening, I tried changing my skincare routine and waiting longer to apply but it didn’t make a difference. Received a sample to test.

Wanted to live but pils really badly

I really wanted to love this product. It has a really nice texture and looks great when it’s first applied. But once it dries down it pils so badly, especially around the neck and chin area. Even the slightest touch leaves a bunch on specs on my face, trying to lightly brush them off only makes it worse. I really wish this didn’t happen because I live the packaging and the initial application.

Lovely sunscreen, non greasy

I am always on the look for effective sunscreens which sink into my skin and leave a matt non-greasy feeling and this product was an amazing find. It was comfortable and light on my skin and layered beautifully with makeup and skincare. It was also very comfortable to wear under a mask. I highly recommend this product.

Amazing spf!

I absolutely love using this SPF - I have very oily skin and this definitely reduces the amount of shine whilst still protecting my skin from the sun. It feels creamy and hydrating but dries down nicely, this is just such a gorgeous formula to use.

Good for oily skin

I been used this product for quite long times and specially in Summer than compared with my friend who has dry skin than me ! I have an oily skin and a man, I think this product is nice only for oily skin ! Am i Right here? Because dry skin just make them feel drier ?!

No Transparency on PPD numbers

LRP used to always list the PPD factor for consumers, yet this time you keep the PPD value conveniently hidden. Please can you tell us what the PPD value is for this product considering that you have no a new "remarkable" new 400 Mune filter. The old formulation was listed as PPD 28. My go-to!

I received this a while back from the La Roche-Posay Skin Community and I've been using it everyday for about 3 months now. It's perfect! It's unscented, it sinks into my skin really well, leaving a lovely dewy effect and it doesn't break me out! My normally extremely oily skin has been less shiny and greasy since using this. And it's only a plus that it's SPF50+. I mean this genuinely when I say that this is my new go-to suncream!

Great sun protection

I am really impressed with this product usually I find facial sun protection quite heavy on the skin and causes me to breakout but this product did not leave a greasy layer on my skin in fact it sinked into the skin really well. I love that it has such strong spf protection and I also found it helped me stay matte for longer

A good product to have

Is a very handy product to have , easy to carry, to apply, to keep it with you all time. Keeps the skin protected and skin does not get oily or very shiny. Skin also is protected from sun and hydrates the skin quite nice . Pleasant texture and very easy for skin to absorbs it. Love that is spf 50 and not less so i don’t need to worry for my skin being affected by the weather.

High protection cream Anthelios 50+

I had an opportunity to test this product amazing Anthelios anti shine cream as a member of La Roche Posay. I have been using this cream for several weeks, always in the morning about 30 minutes before going outside, but also during the day after exercise or swimming. Positive features of this product: Ergonomic and easy to use packaging, Very light formula absorbs quickly into the skin, Light and very pleasant smell, I have an oily skin type and this cream keeps the skin matte, The cream provides high protection 50+SPF, helps prevent for enlarged pores & breakouts before/after sun exposure Water resistant Passed an exam for my skin type. What is more it did not cause any allergic reactions or redness. Highly recommended, definitely I ll buy another one

I received Anthelios anti shine 50+spf from La Roche-Posay community for testing purposes, I was delighted to have the opportunity to test this product,always been passionate about skincare & spf! Anthelios is anti shine formula with UVA/UVB also anti oxidant! Very high protection & dry touch finish. This spf is my go to…. Now with anti shine it’s even better than before. Tested in Cyprus for 2 weeks and then back in uk and absolutely loved it. Works under makeup and is really easy to apply. Stopped my face from burning.

Great sunscreen

I've been using this Anthelios Anti-shine gel-cream SPF50+ for over a month now and it is amazing. The texture is nice and creamy and it absorbs pretty quickly leaving the skin feeling mattified . This product is perfect for me as my skin can be quite oily so this is a great way to keep it looking beautiful while it being protected from the sun. This sunscreen is a great base for my make-up and thanks to the mattifying effect my make-up doesn't slide off my face . This sunscreen is very water resistant, doesn't leave white marks and it's suitable for sensitive skin. It is not oily or sticky when applied and It is non-perfumed too.

I was sent this product from the community in return for my honest review. I am a big fan of LRP’s spf fluid usually, but this one may now be a favourite. I have combination oily skin and find myself wanting to skip the spf stage in the past due to ‘sun cream’ feeling on my skin, tacky, heavy or leaves a white cast. This is none of those things, it felt weightless once applied and dried down quickly enough. Sat nice under makeup and kept the shine at bay. I’d recommend.

It is a great base for make-up as well, and due to the fact I get quite warm on even the coldest of days, weird I know. it holds my make-up really well, I imagine it is great for the summer. Lightweight

Sun cream for me is the most important step in my skincare routine particularly as I use retinol, Vitamin c and acids all of which make the skin very sensitive to the sun. This sun cream has a lightweight texture making it easy to apply to the skin without leaving it feeling sticky or greasy. It has a more moisturising effect to the skin which was pleasantly surprising and at times I felt I could easily skip my moisturiser and go straight into this after applying my other products. When wearing makeup, I find I don’t really need to use a primer as this spf is moisturising enough to act like one. The fact there is no shine or white caste is a big bonus for me particularly as I have oily skin as this has really helped prevent my skin looking so oily. Highly recommend.

I’m love it.

When choosing a product, it was important for me that the protection was high, at least 50+, and also that the product suited my oily skin and did not clog pores. And La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50+ gel-cream fulfills all my wishes. The cream is very pleasant in texture, not thick and not liquid, easy to apply and well distributed over the skin in an even layer. Immediately after application, a slight stickiness is felt, but a couple of seconds later the cream is absorbed and the face becomes completely dry and matte. Just some magic!

Amazing for my skin!!

I love this sun screen! For a factor 50 it js surprisingly lightweight. It smooths onto the skin very nicely and leave a matte, soft to the touch finish. I actually find this also has a skin-blurring effect also (better than my primer anyway!!). I wore this without makeup or anything else on my skin and found it to also be surprisingly sweat proof! My skin can be very oily but with the matte finish I didn’t have the usual ‘forehead shine’ at all. For me and my skin I found this to be an amazing sun screen. However, j found that there was some white cast which may make the product not desirable for our darker skinned sisters. The white cast was more on the mild side and did seem to go once fully rubbed in and absorbed. But I would urge those with a darker skin tone to test before purchasing just incase!

Love it

For a long time I was looking for a high sun protection for the face with very sensitive, impure combination skin and tried other expensive brands with a similar product. This one here is simply ideal, it has a matt finish and is long-lasting, even in extreme conditions in midsummer or when doing outdoor sports. It smells subtle and is not too brown, which means you don't look too tanned or mask-like. It really sinks in completely. So great for light, sensitive combination skin that absolutely needs to be protected from UV rays. Anti-Shine is absolutely great.

This is the best SPF I have tried in terms of texture, extremely lightweight, no shine and does not affect makeup application. High factor and causes no issues with sensitive, blemish prone skin - would definitely recommend.

Anthelios SPF

I’ve only recently started wearing SPF on my face as a daily part of my routine because I know how much UVA/B rays can damage your skin. This is great to wear under make up. Has a lovely matte finish and great gel/cream formulation. Make up sits on it well. This doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin either!

Fantastic cream

I used this cream on our holiday recently and really liked it. It has a non-sticky texture, gets absorbed quickly, provides excellent protection from the sun and is very resistant to water so doesn't need to be topped up quite as frequently. I have sensitive skin and this one really suited me without any issues. I highly recommend it.

Great SPF

I received this complimentary product from La Roche Posay for my honest review. I’m quite oily in my Tzone so wanted something to help & not make that worse. Its states its anti shine & I do feel it helped with that as once applied, it was quite matte. I really like it! I’ve been wearing this every single day as part of my AM routine & it’s now become second nature to me. I apply it after skincare & before makeup but I do make sure it sinks in before applying anything on top. I use 2 pumps & apply it to my face & neck. It doesn’t go on easily as it heavy in texture but that’s because it’s a mineral sunscreen but I don’t find it leaves a white cast as most of them do. It also doesn’t sting me eyes

Matte finish spf

I received this as a member of the LRP community and was excited to try. The formula gives a nice matte finish however it left me with a whitecast on application. Due to the matte finish, rubbing the spf into the skin can be a bit tough. A really nice oil-free formula with a nice matte finish, just a shame about the whitecast!

Awesome Sunscreen!

*gifted by LRP community in exchange for my honest review* I absolutely love LRP sunscreens! This sunscreen is great for my oily skin as it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky. My favourite SPF!

I have been using this for quite a few years now and I cannot imagine a summer (and even the whole year round) without it. The packaging is super easy to use and I can pop it in my bag whenever I am on the go. I apply the product on my face every few hours when I am in the sun and it leaves my skin non greasy and non sticky and with a wonderful finishing matte touch.

Good for combination skin

Anti-Shine SPF50+ is one of my favourite sunscreens as I have combination, acne prone skin. It is not greasy and doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes.

Protects from sunburn, doesn't work with foundatio

I bought this one as it's mattifying and I have oily skin. It's great on its own but doesn't work under my foundation at all. No matter how long I let it sink into the skin, as soon as I put foundation on, I have white cast all over my fingers and I wonder if there's still protection left on my face or if it has all transferred to my fingers.

Horrible! Beware

VERY VERY white, peels like crazy, extremely drying and irritating. Plus the ppl value is relatively low compared to others Anthelios products. Overall the worst sunscreen I've eder uses, its absolutely a bad product. Stick to other Anthelios products.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios is my favourite SPF cream. It is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic for my combination skin. It has dry-touch formula, and it doesn't whiten the face. It controls shine and mattifies for good few hours. I don't wear make up so I don't know how it will work with it.

Best facial sunscreen

I have used this sunscreen for years, including in situations with a lot of exposure to sun (e.g. 3 months on a dive boat in the Caribbean) and it has never failed to protect my skin. I have sensitive and particularly sun-sensitive skin, that's prone to oiliness and doesn't like heavy creams sat on it all day, and this is a great matte option. I would highly recommend it.

Doesn’t leave white face

For all negative reviews related to leaving the face with white, or blue cast, or flaky. They might be applying it too much or something. My skin type is oily and I also have acne, and I have no problems with it. It must be my 4th bottle. It does what it says.

As a newly introduced spf daily user it is important for me to not look shiny. I suffer with oily skin and this is what put me off daily use. This product however combats that problem directly and is so lightweight underneath makeup or by itself. Its a must use daily and I will continually repurchase this spf over and over. Its a love product for me.

My absolute favourite facial sunscreen. If tried loads on the hunt for the one and this is by far the best for me. I suffer from hormonal breakouts and a greasy forehead. This helps with the shine and doesn’t cause any further breakouts. It’s one of the few sunscreens I’ve found that doesn’t sting eyes snd it makes a great base for makeup

I think there are better sunscreen formulas from LRP (Ultra light invisible fluid is amazing) compared to this one. It is hard to spread around the skin and doesn’t sit well with the other products in my routine. Won’t be repurchasing but will use up. Probably more suited to someone with super oily skin who needs oil absorption.

Excellent protection, but not anti-shine

I do like this product and have been using it for months. Provides excellent skin protection, but it is not anti-shine as described. It leaves white streaks on the skin if not carefully applied, and tends to flake easily. Leaves a greasy, shiny finish on the skin that needs to be blotted often.

I bought this product with my own money, this is an honest non-sponsored review, I do not work for this brand nor am I affiliated with the L'Oreal Group in any sort of way so you know that my opinion is what I honestly believe. This sunscreen is awful lol I wouldn't be caught dead using it again. It does leave a matte finish as claimed or "dry touch" & it is mattifying like they say but! It also pills and rolls off and leaves a white cast especially if you have darker skin tones and facial hair, if you are a guy with stubble, trust me, you'll see it, especially if you apply it liberally. I suspect the white cast is from the small amount of titanium dioxide in this formula which is towards the end of the ingredients list. I really wish they didn't include it to be honest.... Also why are we still using octocrylene in 2020 for god's sake? Octocrylene is one of those UV filters that have the highest potential to sting, burn and irritate skin... With so many choices for great modern UV filters in Europe, why do we need to use octocrylene? Why can't we make all modern UV filters sunscreens? The UV filters in this sunscreen are Homosalate, octocrylene, octisalate, Avobenzone, Uvinul T 150, Tinosorb S Lite Aqua, Meoxryl XL and titanium dioxide which seems to be at a concentration of less than 1% so I doubt it is being used as a UV filter. Homosalate is a very weak UVB filter, it is mostly used to help dissolve other UV filters which is probably why it is the second ingredient in this formula. But seriously L'Oreal why Octocrylene?! D: You already have a good selection of UVB filters, Uvinul T150 and tinosrb S plus the mexoryl XL are more than enough to provide reliable UVB protection, no need for octocrylene and octisalate, you could have used the gentler more modern UVA filter Uvinul A Plus instead of avobenzone. I have oily acne prone skin but I wouldn't recommend this cause of the white cast and because it pills as well as because of octocrylene, if they reformulate it then I might reconsider it. I would want an all modern UV filter sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast and doesn't pill, this might also be drying for some people, if you wanna use it be sure to exfoliate your skin, it will highlight any dead skin cells and dry patches it will also gather in your under eye wrinkles

Leaves white residue

I purchased this a month ago and would not recommend it unless you're white. While it feels nice on your skin, it leaves chalky residue which is hard to cover up.

Outstanding product

I have very oily skin so need to use only one product, with SPF. This keeps my skin matte for hours as well as protected from the sun. I also use the tinted version, which is perfect for my pale skin. No more shine!

Not suitable for darker skin tones

It leaves a thick white layer on skin. I was hoping to wear this without makeup but there’s no chance unless I want to look like a ghost. As I do not wear foundation this will probably go to waist. I had high hopes for this but unfortunately I was very disappointed.

Works great on me!

I have sensitive skin and am picky with products. I randomly picked this sunscreen up as it was a gel cream which from my experience works good for my skin instead of normal creme ones. Love how it is easy to apply and spread all over my face swell as how quickly it absorbs into my skin! To me, the finish wasn't completely anti-shine but I really don't mind it as I do prefer a tad of dewy-ness due to my dry skin. Overall it has exceeded my expectations and im loving this product!

Perfect for oily & combination skin

never usually leave reviews but this was so good i had to. I bought this a week ago and cannot recommend enough! this is perfect for my combination skin (oily t-zone & dry cheeks) i have tried sooooooo many face suncreams but they left my face too oily and caused breakouts. this doesn't clog my pores and prevents spots. will be buying this for the rest of my life... please DONT discontinue this product ever @la roche-posay! Oh my goodness!

As someone with oily, spot prone skin I typically hate any suncream, but this is unlike any suncream I have ever tried before! Instead of sitting on top of your skin with that tackiness that normal creams leaves, this drys within about 30 seconds to leave you looking like you're not wearing anything. I do think there may be a slight knack to applying it - e.g. pump out a tiny bit to just do one part of your face at a time. And if you get it in your hair/eyebrows it can leave some white rubbings (I have black hair, so it may not be that noticable on everyone), but these disappear after a quick wipe with a flannel. It works well as a base for makeup or by itself. I am totally converted - this product is amazing!
