amazing product

wish id known about this product years ago, regular suncreams, tried them all and they used to be like an oil slick on my face, then id have a breakout for 2 weeks post holiday. This stuff is so light, it feels great on my face, can hardly tell im wearing it, and absolutely no flare up afterwards, best facial suncscreen ive ever used.

Bad reaction after years of use

After using this sunscreen for years, I developed an allergic reaction to it in April. It’s taken me months to figure out what was triggering my skin issues (acne, a rash on my chin, constant itching, hyperpigmentation from all the breakouts) but when I stopped using it a few days ago, my skin got 1000x better. The rash went overnight.

Perfection!

Unexpected severe allergy after years of use

I used La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 for two years without any problems — it worked well and I trusted it completely. However, a few months ago I started experiencing a severe allergic reaction: swelling, redness, and itching. I saw a doctor and went through treatment, but it took me a long time to identify the cause. I never suspected this product, simply because I had been using it for so long without any issues. It wasn’t until a friend told me her daughter — who doesn’t usually wear SPF — applied this sunscreen just once and had a strong reaction the same day, that I began to suspect it. After I stopped using Anthelios UVMune 400, my skin slowly started to recover and return to normal. It’s really unfortunate, because I used to love this product. But something may have changed in the formula, or perhaps it triggered a delayed sensitivity. I just want to share my experience in case someone else is going through something similar — don’t rule out a product just because it worked for you in the past.

I've been using Anthelios for years but...

I've been using Anthelios Ultra-Light Invisible Fluid SPF30 for years and it is perfection but decided to up to a spf 50. They don't do this exact product in spf 50 so decided to try the Anthelios UV Mune 400 and sadly I'm not keen. First thing I noticed was the distinctly yellow colour but I find it doesn't absorb. I'm 42 but have combination skin & always conscious of products adding to the grease and this product just sits on the skin and feels tacky for at least an hour after application, and even then my skin feels greasy. Tried it once under make-up and despite using primer and setting spray, my foundation was no longer providing coverage after a few hours. Think I will use up this bottle on days when no make-up required and stick to the spf 30 going forward.

Great product no greasiness or grimy feeling in skin. Factor the alcohol in it it dries very quickly so feel like I need a moisturizer with it too? Should this product be applied before or after or mixed through moisturiser?

I've been on the hunt for a sunscreen that actually works for my sensitive skin without feeling heavy or leaving a residue, and I think I've finally found it with the Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50+. The first thing that caught my attention was the new MEXORYL 400. Knowing it specifically targets those hard-to-block ultra-long UVA rays makes me feel much more confident about my sun protection, especially here in the UK when the sun can be deceptive. Applying it is a dream. The NETLOCK TECHNOLOGY truly lives up to its name; it's so lightweight and just melts into my skin. I was looking for a sunscreen that would offer great protection without being heavy or greasy on my skin and this is a brilliant product for me. The bottle needs a good shake before use - there is a ballbearing inside so when you shake there is a bit of a rattle as the product gets mixed. The product is described as a fluid and it is very liquid so be careful not to squeeze too much out at a time or it will go everywhere. Applying onto clean, dry skin the product is easy to spread and it "disappears" easily leaving no white sheen or greasiness. The product has no discernible scent and, although I've not tried it, I feel it would be fine under make-up.

I just love the feel of it on my skin I have tried others that don’t absorb properly I like how it has protects for longer ultra long uva rays. And it’s good for sensitive skin and how it’s ultra water, sweat and sand resistant and non sticky. Great for sensitive skin

I have very dry sensitive skin and contact dermatitis on my neck at the moment and this spf did not aggravate it at all it is easy to apply and did not drag my skin as some sunscreens do. I think the yellow band on the label indicates a product for normal/combination skin and my skin is very dry but this was fine. The only downside is it is very watery and also needs a good shake before application.

I have been advised to use a factor 50 broad base sunscreen due to a recent medical diagnosis . I looked at reviews online from people with the same diagnosis on what is the best product to use , and this product was frequently advised . I have purchased the tinted sunscreen factor 50 version . My only disappointment is I can't seem to source it in a larger bottle .

Very nice SPF for Face

Hello. I got a free sample of Anthelios 50spf face cream. I am Sri Lankan with dark skin and I live in London - lots of smog. I like to wear a daily spf. But they are all either too greasy or too thin. They have chalky residue. They are never truly clear. Some dry your skin or hurt around your eyes. This one doesn't!!!! It absorbs silkily and smoothly. It is light and does not smell horrible or perfumed. It DID NOT sting my eyes!!!!! Most shocked at this! So fabulous. Also goes over the top of mosturiser and you dont feel like you've slapped emulsion on. This will be a favourite product now, thank you xxxx

Stains white clothes very badly

A very light and very fluid cream, goes on easily. Suits my skin, protects well, but it has ruined so many clothes. Cannot get the cream out, no matter what laundry products and stain removers I use. Other sun creams do not have this effect on my clothes.

I was surprised by the smooth texture, more liquid than I expected. But that meant it spread more evenly and is less greasy than other sunscreens I've tried. It kept my skin hydrated and protected from the sun.

Bad reaction!!

Used this last year and no problem but this year on my first use I have reacted very badly. I am at present suffering with severe itching and burning to my face and will need to try and repair my skin barrier. I didn’t think sbout having to patch test as I have always used it but looking on other reviews it seems they have maybe changed the formula. This reaction is agony😩

The fluid is white and has a pleasant, faint aroma. The consistency is liquid, you need to shake the bottle. The fluid is quickly absorbed, leaving a slight shine on the skin. Suitable for makeup, does not roll. If there is peeling, it becomes invisible, as the skin is moisturized.

Pleasantly surprised!

Too yellow for me!

This is a lovely fluid and highly recommended by beauty editors. However, when applied its colouring makes my fair skin look unnaturally yellow. This may be OK in the summer when I have a tan, but in the winter it looks artificial against my chest, neck and hands. Despite having great respect for LRP and its scientific research, regrettably I cannot continue to use particular item and its claim to be invisible. I will revert to my usual SPF50 brand unless LRP can advise a truly invisible alternative for my very mature skin.

I love this suncream because I found it to be very effective, even on my sensitive skin. I didn't burn, and it doesn't sting my eyes either which other brands do. It's long lasting, lightweight and really easy to apply. It's not sticky or greasy at all. A very high level of protection is given by this cream. Sunscreen without the white cast

As in the title, this sunscreen lives upto the expectation of a sunscreen without a white cast. It gets absorbed more readily than any other drug store brand sunscreens. This is as far as I can leave a review because I only got a mini sample and can't really judge about it's performance. Will be buying a full size product next summer and hope it works well!
