For me, the most important thing about a sunscreen is that it doesn't feel heavy on my face, because I really like wearing makeup every day. It’s fantastic—it offers high protection and feels comfortable on my face.

Absolutely sensational!

I was lucky enough to receive this from Lorealistar to test and review and it is safe to say that I have gone and repurchased it x2 It is the most loveliest SPF I’ve ever used for my fave since it doesn’t irritate my eyes, doesn’t leave my skin oily/tacky and also doesn’t leave any white cast. I have not burnt at all despite being out and about in 30C heat most of the day. I love the size of it as it’s so discrete to slide into your small bag and even a pocket. I’d happily recount to everyone.

Actual Silk for my skin!

This is only the 2nd product from this brand that I’ve tried and I’m honestly a convert. I spent 8+ hours in the sun at a concert and this was so handy! It fit in my bag and it had the most luxurious texture. More than anything though, I felt fully protected. Jaundiced !

I started using this after advice given about my skin cancer, unfortunately it made my skin look a very definite yellow, as if I had jaundice ! Because of this I had to stop using it. Such a shame as I love La Roche-Posay. I would recommend this with a proviso to be vigilant about the effect it may have on.

This is so Perfect for sensitive and reactive skin and also doesn't feel greasy. This is a very lightweight cream and feels very comfortable on my skin, while leaving a healthy glow to my skin. This is perfume free which is a good thing for people with sensitive skin. This doesn't leave a white cast, unlike some sun cream do. You can still wear your makeup on top of this and it doesn't end up pilling like some do. Factor 50+ and water, sweat and sand resistant. No stinging your eyes like some others do. Definitely the best I've tried, and definitely my go too. This is a big part of my routine now so definitely be carrying on wearing this cream. Just perfect!!!

Unexpected Reaction Despite Sensitive Skin Claims

I purchased this sunscreen because it is marketed as being suitable for sensitive skin. Unfortunately, after using it, I experienced a significant skin reaction despite tolerating moisturisers and other skincare products without issues. Following my complaint, La Roche-Posay confirmed that this product contains Alcohol Denat., Fragrance, multiple UV filters and tint pigments, which are not present in their Toleriane Sensitive Skin Moisturiser. While many people may tolerate this product well, those with very sensitive skin should carefully review the ingredient list before purchasing. My experience suggests that "sensitive skin" does not necessarily mean suitable for all sensitive skin types. I cannot recommend this product based on my experience.

This milky white liquid absorbs in super fast time. There's no white cast and no sting. Suitable for any skin type, This is all time favourite spf, its brilliant protection for my senditive skin. A couple of sweeps and its rubbed ,so easy no irritation. Love this one .

Good protection but very runny

This is my first use as was recommended by a dermatologist. It was good at sun protection but I found it very runny and the very vivid yellow colour tends to stain anything onto which it drops. I would recommend it because it works and is supposedly not too harmful to my system but I would say be very cautious about its consistency and where you stand when you apply. It did also slightly stain clothes so ensure it is well rubbed in.

BEWARE No longer Fragrance Free!!!!

As someone with Allergic Contact Dermatitis to fragrance this product was a life saver. The new formula is no longer fragrance free. So disappointing.

High protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this is SPF50 providing high protection to my skin. I found the product very runny which was the only downside. It absorbed well and wasn’t sticky and sat well under makeup.

it is not 100% safe

I got a reaction to one of the Anthelios sunscreen. After use, I developed significant eye irritation (burning/watering eyes) followed by facial spots/skin irritation.

amazing product

wish id known about this product years ago, regular suncreams, tried them all and they used to be like an oil slick on my face, then id have a breakout for 2 weeks post holiday. This stuff is so light, it feels great on my face, can hardly tell im wearing it, and absolutely no flare up afterwards, best facial suncscreen ive ever used.

Light weight and does the job.no irritating at all

I've used other sunscreen ,this is the best so far, I can use it on eyelids, under my eyes,and it doesn't sting or cause tears like others.its very light too .love it!

Bad reaction after years of use

After using this sunscreen for years, I developed an allergic reaction to it in April. It’s taken me months to figure out what was triggering my skin issues (acne, a rash on my chin, constant itching, hyperpigmentation from all the breakouts) but when I stopped using it a few days ago, my skin got 1000x better. The rash went overnight.

Perfection!

This really is the perfect suncream, it’s light, it’s milky and it doesn’t leave you feeling like a greasy chip! Most importantly it doesn’t flair up my daughter’s eczema or my husband’s rosacea! If you’ve got sensitive skin, try this out.

Unexpected severe allergy after years of use

I used La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 for two years without any problems — it worked well and I trusted it completely. However, a few months ago I started experiencing a severe allergic reaction: swelling, redness, and itching. I saw a doctor and went through treatment, but it took me a long time to identify the cause. I never suspected this product, simply because I had been using it for so long without any issues. It wasn’t until a friend told me her daughter — who doesn’t usually wear SPF — applied this sunscreen just once and had a strong reaction the same day, that I began to suspect it. After I stopped using Anthelios UVMune 400, my skin slowly started to recover and return to normal. It’s really unfortunate, because I used to love this product. But something may have changed in the formula, or perhaps it triggered a delayed sensitivity. I just want to share my experience in case someone else is going through something similar — don’t rule out a product just because it worked for you in the past.

Reactive skin with new formula.

I've been using Anthelios for years but...

I've been using Anthelios Ultra-Light Invisible Fluid SPF30 for years and it is perfection but decided to up to a spf 50. They don't do this exact product in spf 50 so decided to try the Anthelios UV Mune 400 and sadly I'm not keen. First thing I noticed was the distinctly yellow colour but I find it doesn't absorb. I'm 42 but have combination skin & always conscious of products adding to the grease and this product just sits on the skin and feels tacky for at least an hour after application, and even then my skin feels greasy. Tried it once under make-up and despite using primer and setting spray, my foundation was no longer providing coverage after a few hours. Think I will use up this bottle on days when no make-up required and stick to the spf 30 going forward.
