Not for oily skin

I gave this product two fair tries with week's break in between. But it simply doesn't work for my oily skin type. Despite being marketed as a gel formula, it leaves my face feeling as greasy as if I'd applied sunflower oil. The oiliness is not just an initial application problem but it stays for several hours and makes it unwearable during the day. So it may suit drier skin types however if you're oily I'd skip this one.

Good for scars & tattoos

Been hard on myself through life. Mountain bikes, baseball, outdoor exploration, marital arts, army... So understandably; I'm covered in scars... Par for the course. Don't remember how long ago I started using this stuff, but I've used it to treat both scars and healing tattoos to excellent effect. No stinging or redness for me. Nothing but good things to say on the gel.

great for stubborn red areas

My chin always gets red spots all over it and I struggle to find things that can make it look normal, most moisturizers break me out but since I’ve started using this as my daily moisturizer I haven’t had any redness.

Post-surgical scar healing!

I bought this to help with healing surgical wounds as I am prone to keloid scarring. It worked soooo well! I had 3 abdominal surgeries in less than 2 years & used this each time. My scars healed beautifully, faded to my skin tone, are smooth/flat & virtually undetectable. I started using it once the surgical tape came off (approx a week post-op). Used it twice a day for about 8 weeks.

Awesome Product!

My skin loves this product. I am 55+. I got introduced to this product after getting some NF1 tumours taken off my face. To reduce scarring, the dermatologist told me to get a silicone-based product to help with healing. I stopped by my favouite pharmacy and the woman in the beauty department introduced me to Cicaplast Gel B5. Not only do I have no scars from the removals, my skin overall is looking great. Cicaplast Gel B5 has really reduced the deeper lines that were on my forehead (where I got the tumours removed) and my 11's are greatly reduced as well. My skin feels and looks more lifted, softer, and smoother. I will definitely continue using this product.

Pas mal !

Je mets 4* puisque je viens de commencer à l'utiliser. Recommandé par une pharmacienne pour réduire les cicatrices suite au Zona. Le gel est très agréable (sensation de frais à l'application) et apaise les démangeaisons. Je ne sais pas si le produit va vraiment réduire mes cicatrices mais pour l'instant, je l'aime bien.

Makes my skin super dry and peeling

I used to really like Cicaplast to help my skin clear pimples wounds (I don't remember if it was gel or baume, but with the curent review on the baume, it thought I would try the gel at worst). I bought two tubes in September 2024, but it makes my skin super dry at each application, to the point my skin peels everytimes I try to use it. Unfortunate that I have now two full tubes that I cannot use at all.

Great Results

I bought this product b/c a friend recommended it for it’s benefits. I have really dry skin and typically use vaseline as a night barrier. When I use the Cicaplast Gel I massage it into my face and any extra I rub on my elbows. I have felt such a difference in my skin especially on my elbows. The roughness of my elbows are completely gone and they are smoother than ever. I find my face remains plump throughout the day and my fine lines are not noticeable.

Burns and Stings

I don't understand why this product burns and stings my skin. I've used multiple tubes of the Baume B5 with good results. This is supposed to be similar just in gel-form. I really prefer the gel but I am unable to use it. Is it possible I got a fake product? Or that it's expired?

The Best

I have very sensitive skin. Products that most people find effective do not work for me. I have a hard time in stores picking products that will agree with my skin. I finally found something that works. This was effective, gentle, and economical. I am quite pleased. My skin had become dehydrated because I was using too many exfoliating agents without using moisturizer. This product worked with bringing my skin back to normal.

I did buy this product to my daughter of 15, because of her skin barrier which very impacted due to acne topical gel. She rather cicaplast balm the most however she keep this as backup for spots.

Life changer

Je n’ai pas l’habitude d’écrire des commentaires sur des produits, mais le gel a tout simplement changé ma vie ! J’ai de l’acné hormonal qui laisse de grosses cicatrices rouges et j’ai la peau super claire, mais en 1 mois d’utilisation j’ai vu un énorme changement! chronic skin/pimple picker/popp - this is for you!

I only give it 4/5 stars because I have only been using it for about 2 weeks, maybe less AND I added a retinol to my routine about 2.5 months ago. So far, my skin looks youthful,bright, plump again! My skin barrier was DISTROYED (EXTREMELY DEHYDRATED) and Im a chronic pimple popper/picker. Id use Cicaplast baume at night and on my scabs/open wounds/super red popped pimples like a spot treatment. It was to greasy to wear in the AM. The Gel is PERFECT for helping with my skin & being able to wear it day or night! So far, I LOVE IT!

Another Excellent Product

I use this after shaving, and on dry patches. I pair it with HydraphaseHA at night. I am 60 and my skin has never looked or felt better. Even forehead lines are diminished and it is especially great for lips!

Immediate relief!

I just bought the Cicaplast Gel B5 as my skin was very angry. It was itchy, hot and very irratated. I read about this on line in a beauty blog, so I purchased it to see if it would calm my skin down. I immediately applied it and had relief right away! I had not put on any creams before as I obviously have to give my skin a break. Very happy to find this product!!

Great skin barrier product

I find this gel has helped with my skin texture and redness. I use this in the PM and I wake up with noticeably 'calmer' looking skin. I use this product with the Cicaplast Baume B5. It layers well with water and oil based products too.

Since starting Retin-A my sensitive skin has been even more sensitive. After getting my eyebrows waxed, the wax took a lot of my skin with it- leaving very fragile exposed skin. Magical healing

HOLY GRAIL

This popped up on social media and a few times and I’m always looking for a good moisturizer so I bought it on a whim. I have dry skin and I’ve never really committed to any one moisturizer before but this is a true holy grail product. Living in Canada I am prone to persistent dry, flakey patches in the winter. I find lot of heavy duty moisturizers feel too thick and greasy on the skin but this is amazing. It’s definitely heavier than an average moisturizer but it’s not thick like your normal “baumes”. I love to use it when my skin needs some TLC - after being out in the sun, if I’m sensitized from a product etc. I’ve had extremely rough, dry hands for years and NOTHING has ever helped however I used this on my knuckles and it fixed them in one application. It genuinely smoothed the skin, it didn’t just create a barrier like most hand creams. I was so impressed that I went on to try the Cicaplast hand cream which is another holy grail. Truly the best hand cream I’ve ever used in my whole life, I can’t imagine using anything else. I am so excited to continue trying products from this line and I can’t recommend this and the hand cream enough! I agree with other customers and wish that the B5 baume was available in a larger tube.

Great cream but too small and wasteful

I love this cream - I use it every day, twice a day, on my very dry skin and it is great. But it is such a small quantity that I have to repurchase often and the amount of waste made from these little plastic tubes has me feeling very guilty. Please make this in a larger size so I don't have to go to another brand that has more efficient packaging and sizes.

Cicaplast Gel B5

Phenomenal product!! I just wish I had known about this type of skin care barrier when I was in my 20s and walking and running out in all elements--likely when I really damaged my sensitive skin! I never knew how bad the extreme cold was for my skin type (fair/redness prone). This type of product is the answer to create a barrier to keep the skin moisturized and protected from the elements. Highly recommend for people like me who love being outdoors in all weather, and in general for protection or a healing barrier perfect after treatments, like laser treatments, for example.
