MUST TRY!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not usually one to leave reviews but this is so good I couldn’t not. I was very skeptical about this product as many reviews suggested it caused a breakout but I can honestly say I’m so glad I didn’t listen! I have blemish/spot prone skin but since using this every evening for the past few weeks along side the effaclar foaming gel and the duo+M cream I’ve seen such a huge difference in the texture of my skin and LESS blemishes/spots! For anyone who has any doubts about trying it… Don’t! It’s worth every penny!

Do not use - fragrance in it and burns sensitives

I tried to do as much research on this as possible but got it home and it has a fragrance. Why!! Why does it need a fragrance when it’s helping acne prone skin which is sensitive too. I love this brand but the need to put a fragrance in random serums or products is dangerous. This burnt my skin. Full stop. Do not recommend

Just love all the range . I hit menopause and my skin went from bad to worse . I was on holiday in Italy and went ina chemist and they gave me it. That is 4 years ago I use everything . I absolutely love it . I’ve introduced my daughter and friends and they all say they have improvement.

Used this product for about 6 months and didn't notice a difference in my skin! Felt good on my skin, but I don't think it imoroved it, nor did it make my skin worse. My skin is not acne-prone, but since removing this product from my routine, I have not missed it.

Didn’t work for me

Overly concentrated I think. I battle with reoccurring acne and finally dark spots. Decided to try out this product after getting to know it’s suitable on oily acne prône skin. Unfortunately it woresen the situation. Seems it’s too hard for my skin. I’m highly disappointed

I used only this product alongside a moisturizer I have been using for years and the morning after using this product, every time, i break out. I try to use it only every few days but to no avail. I then went on vacation and didn't use it at all, and my skin cleared up. would not recommend

Neep Help

I need a help. What serum should I use? I have combination skin with open pores on my cheeks and nose and chin area. I have bumpy skin on chin area. Also have clogged pores full with some sort of semi solid and oily thing on nose and chin. Skin looks dull. In summer I get too oily skin especially nose and chin but in winter I get a dry skin.

Not recommend

Bought this one together with the EFFCLAR DUO Moisturiser to try to fix my blemish prone skin. It doesn’t work very well and makes my skin sensitive with small red dots.

Vraiment collant sur la peau

J'utilise ce produit, nouveau pour moi depuis plusieurs jours maintenant et je n'aime pas du tout. Le produit laissé un fini hyper collant sur la peau vraiment très désagréable. Aussi, jumelé au tonique de LaRoche-Posay, cela laisse un sentiment de "brûlures" qui me laisse l'impression d'être plus dommageable pour ma peau que l'effet recherché.

I had a breakout of adult acne due to stress. I should’ve read the ingredients list but I initially had a horrible reaction against the medication I was taking. After adjusting the dosage and checking how much my skin could tolerate, I’ve been using this at night on alternative nights alongside antibiotics tablets. Previously my skin was reacting terribly but for the last two months I have seen major improvement. The acne was so bad that wearing matte makeup made it look worse. Not I can wear matte make up and not feel horrible. I’m hoping to using sheer make up with blemish corrections soon.

Cleared my Skin up in 6 weeks

I suffer with hormonal, bacterial acne. In summer months it worsens, I was hunting for a routine to keep blemishes at bay. I have been using this for 6 weeks, morning and night with my cleanser. Changed my life

This product has completely changed my skin. I'd been struggling with painful acne for over 10 years. I'd tried almost every treatment possible and thought I was just doomed to be in pain. A week of using this serum and my skin is so, so smooth. My painful breakouts have reduced significantly, and there is almost no redness to my acne anymore. I always apply at night and follow with an intense moisturizer (I use cicaplast b5). I could not recommend this enough if you have blackheads, painful acne and oily skin.

A nice serum

So this was recommended to me when I did the skincare quiz. It’s a fine serum. I’m not noticing any difference in my skin. To be honest I’m not even sure what it’s supposed to help with (aside from acne which I don’t have). I gave it a 3 for that reason -

Made my skin worst

I used the product as recommanded but when I applied it I had like a chemical burn face reaction! Now I have red and white pimples all over my face, neck and even chest! The product made my skin look like an orange skin texture! I am ashamed going out with my face like that in public! Would not recommand this product for sensitive skin at all!

Cleared scaring and imperfections

Massive break out

I’m posting this again as my first review was deleted and no reply or reason was given. Is this meant to cause a breakout ? Worth every frickin' penny!

MY skin never looks as good as it does when I have this serum stocked up at home. The second I run out of it and it goes out of stock in store/online, I cannot seem to keep up with my breakouts. This not only helps with pimples, but acne scarring and redness as well. This is seriously my GO TO when I need flawless looking skin. I use in addition to the glow moisturizer and H5 serum to keep my skin hydrated.

Love this line - sensitive skin

I have sensitive skin, with acne on the most sensitive part of my face - my cheeks. I took the acne prone skin diagnosis and was recommended this serum. My skin has had amazing results with almost all of my acne and texture gone within three weeks. My hyperpigmentation is improving too. This is how I use this with sensitive skin 1. I wash my face with cold water and cleanser patting my face dry 2. I followed the directions for the serum - at the beginning I used too much and it made my skin raw. When I reduced to the recommended 2-3 drops for the face my skin started thriving. Read the directions of the product and follow them. 3. At night I follow up with La Roche Cicaplast gel for hydration 4. In the morning I use Effaclar duo and Cicaplast gel (now that my skin has adjusted I only just Effaclar duo) My skin is the best it has been in years and I will continue to use this product.

It made my skin a LOT worse

My skin is sensitive and acne-prone. I only used this serum twice but my whole face is now covered with small bumps. They’re itchy and kind of red as well. My skin is so rough to the touch. It is such a disappointment for an expensive product. Please evaluate your serum. Make it better.

Effective Product with Noticeable Results

I have used this product for two months now, and just as it had promised, I can make a huge difference in my skin marks. I tried this upon seeing its good effects on my sister's skin, and I could say that my skin now has a radiant glow with notably lesser blemishes. However, I would not advise to make use of it right after washing your face or a shower; it stings those times. Also, my skin has gotten a little bit dry, but I think it would get better once I start using the recommended sunscreen after making use of this product. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it for such great results

I bought the serum and it was highly effective, saw results within a week, then the product went out of stock when it was finally restocked I bought another bottle, but it isn’t as effective as the first, I’ve been using it since 3rd week of June, can’t see any change. The first bottle I used visibly cleared spots on my face, this one isn’t doing anything at all. If the formula was changed when the product was out of stock, please revert back to the old formula.

Skin is so much smoother only after 2 weeks

After trying Vitamin C serum which gave my skin bit of a glow, I decided to give this ago. This stuff is liquid gold. It's completely changed my skin - I now rarely get cystic hormonal acne, the redness I thought might be rosacea has decreased massively and I'm now confident leaving the house make up free which I haven't been in years. I've been recommending it to friends ever since starting. The only negative I've found is that my noise is slightly shinier so I avoid my noise most nights and only use it there once a week. Suspect that's just a me thing though so I wouldn't let it put you off!

Finally, something that works on my hormonal acne

I've been using this product for 2-3 weeks consistently and have seen some long standing hormonal acnes finally start to clear. I am excited to see what my skin looks like with several more weeks of consistent usage. I have tried so many options over the last 8-10 years to clear my hormonal acne that got incredibly bad during pregnancy and never recovered (diet, medication, prescription creams, serums, etc.) and this is the first time I've seen a product actually produce results. I have a sensitive skin so normally I only use toleriane range, but got a sample of this effaclar serum and decided to use it on my chin where I get blemishes. The moment I put it on, I felt a terrible burning sensation as if my chin was on fire. I washed it off straight away but the burning sensation stayed for a while! This certainly isn't a product for sensitive skin.

I bought this a couple of months ago and slowly integrated it into my routine because I would typically get one or two pimples at certain points in my cycle. It caused what I thought was a purge, but I’m still breaking out well beyond a purge period and am left with a ton of post acne scars. Caused all deep cystic marks and my skin has never looked worse. I’m sure it works for some. But not for me.

Effaclar Line Seriously Works!

In October I suffered the worst hormonal breakout I have ever had. Tried some acne targeted skincare products from Sephora which did absolutely nothing for 2 months. Purchased the La Roche Effaclar line two weeks ago and now my skin is completely cleared up and pores are sooo much smaller !

Fantastic

This serum has a very lightweight texture which absorbs quickly. It doesn’t irritate my oily skin. It goes well with other products and doesn’t cause pilling. I like to use it together with my Effaclar Duo +M gel. It helps to control sebum production and gently exfoliates the skin, improving skin texture and radiance. I have noticed fewer breakouts since using this and my skin looks a lot more beautiful.

I have used this product after cleansing my skin and before applying Effaclar duo+M. It is expensive but you only need a small amount day and night and my sensitive skin now has less flare ups.

Amazing serum

During my teenage and after pregnancy I had severe breakout and acne, initially I treated them with over the counter creams and face washes from supermarkets, this didn't help much then I finally got them treated by dermatologist.After all the heavy dose treatment finally my acne started reducing and eventually stopped but the after effect of treatment was my very dry dull looking skin with acne spots left behind.Im so thankful to la Roche posay effaclar Serum, I started using it and within few days my skins ph balance was maintained and my skins Started feeling hydrated and balanced.This is very gentle and easily absorbed, helping improve my skin imperfections and unevenness.I use effaclar duo+ moisturizer on top of the Serum which again is very light weight and white thin cream texture which easily absorbs in the skin and what a great combination they are.My skin feels instantly hydrated and smooth.All the redness blurs after using this combination.

Super sticky

The serum works well but just if you use the cream after. The serum can't soak into the skin, you have to apply a tiny little bit and use the effaclar cream after. Then, it soaks and you get a nice skin texture.

My holy grail

This is the only serum that has helped me with my skin. Im prone to break outs and using this serum has calmed down my skin so much! I would totally recommend!
