Best cleanser for oily skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has to be my all time favourite cleanser. I suffer from really oil skin and after using this my skin feels so soft and oiliness kept at bay! I love that it foams up when washing your face as not many cleansers do. You also don’t need to apply much to achieve foaming. It’s not harsh so it doesn’t dry out your skin, just clean, clear and smooth!

Foaming cleanser

Gentle but mighty

Good cleanser

Don’t feel like it has a massively long term effect as it hasn’t reduced how oily my skin does get throughout the day, just resets to a less oily state each time.

Refreshing foaming face wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This face wash was really good. The hot UK weather lately had me sweating a lot and getting some acne on my face. This CeraVe foaming cleanser really helped keep my face fresh and cool and reduced new potent acne. I’ve been using in twice daily and definitely feel the difference specially because of niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. Would buy in the future

Decent enough face wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decent enough face wash, creates a nice foam when using and I do like the packaging with the pump function. When used on slightly oily skin it does leave skin feeling clean and fresh. Lightly fragranced, non-irritating and generally ok as an all rounder. Normally use Origins Checks and Balances which also creates a foamy lather, it isn’t too dissimilar perhaps just less fragrant.

Very gentle to the skin

It feels very soft and pleasant upon application and cleanses thoroughly without drying out the skin. After use, my skin feels fresh, clean and nourished. Leaves skin oil free and smooth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love CeraVe products and this is no exception, after using this cleanser in the pump for the last year, I will be shifting over to the gel, it makes my skin feel so much cleaner and seems to keep oil at bay for longer without being harsh on my face! I sometimes suffer from small red spots on my shoulders (I suspect from sweating in the gym) and this has improved those massively! Highly recommended this gel!

Gentle but Effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is completely unfragranced, transparent and seems to agree with my skin- not all of the products out there do. It completely removes all of the day’s grime and grease, which is great in this hot weather. It’s a tad expensive, bur bear in mind one pump is plenty for the whole face and front of neck. It also works well for cleaning the outer ears.

Great cleanser

It cleans the face very well, especially my oily skin. So very happy with that. It’s fragrance free, but I’d appreciate if it had a light scent, it’d help with the experience.

If you want something to unclog the pores I recommend the Cerave SA cleanser as it contains salycylic acid

Awakening

Does not dry out the skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cerave Foaming Cleanser is a gentle cleanser that can be used both on the face and body. It is really effective especially if you have oily skin. It removes all traces of oil and dirt without drying out the skin. There is no tight feeling afterwards. It contains ceramides which act like the skins natural lipids helping to protect the skins barrier. The cleanser also contains vitamin B3 (niacinamide) which helps to reduce my large pores. Hyaluronic acid provides the hydration my skin needs after cleansing. The cleanser lathes up well after adding water and does not contain fragrances. I primarily use this on my face and also hands but it can be used on the rest of the body. Cerave is a brand I trust and this cleanser does not disappoint. My family use it too and are equally impressed.

Great for oily skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product for oily skin, i get an oily T-Zone and this has calmed my skin and left it more matte and less oily, its easy to apply with water to lather up and foam, there is no scent to it which I dont mind but its different to what I am used to, easy to wash of and leave my skin calm, less red and smooth, skin is lasting a lot longer without getting oily, it feels like its gentle on my skin

It's fragrance free which is a big plus for people with sensitive skin and prone to allergic reactions. It's also versatile and can be used both on face and body. Great for combination skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this CeraVe foaming facial cleanser for the last few days and my skin already feels dramatically diffent. Normally my skin feels tight after cleansing but this made my skin feel hydrated and very clean. I have combination skin and found it works well at removing oil while not being harsh on my skin. It contains 3 essential ceramides, great for the skin! I would use this product again and would recommend to anyone with combination skin.

This cleanser makes my skin feel dry

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ve been using the CeraVe cleanser for normal to oily skin. Overall, I have mixed feelings about it. It cleans the skin very well, but sometimes it feels a bit too harsh and leaves my face slightly dry after washing. The texture is also quite strange, it is thick and sticky, almost like glue. Because of that, I need to use a lot of water to rinse it off properly. On the positive side, I really like that it doesn’t make me break out. Since I started using it, I haven’t notice any pimples, which is a big advantage for me. So even though it has a few downsides, I think it works well for keeping my skin clear.

Excellent face wash

I have had really good experiences with other cerave products and this one certainly disappoint. Great bottle and dispenser easy to store and the pump allows just the right amount of product. It is non-fragrance I prefer and others up really well, it didn’t sting my eyes and left my face feeling refreshed really clean, smooth and hydrated. It also didn’t leave that horrible itchy effect after you use a harsh face wash - really like this product.

Cleans very well

Removes oil without the harshness

Oil feels reduced

Great face cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great cleanser. I did find it too much on my dry spots when used morning and night, but it was great on my oily parts. The pump dispenses too much for my face and neck, but the bottle is huge so will last ages. It does smell like raw materials, but it doesn't leave a scent or residue on the skin. It did remove the excess makeup I had on which was great.

See the difference

Removed oils, whiteheads and blackheads

I bought this two weeks ago, and seriously it is the only cleaner that has removed my oils and reduced my pretty prominent blackheads and whiteheads. I would say I have a combination skin but my nose and forehead is pretty oily, the cleanser is super gentle and was so good on my skin. I could not recommend enough!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting results, some acne is budding?

Don’t get me wrong— CeraVe is a fantastic skincare line. I’ve used a few of their products which gave me outcomes beyond satisfactory; however unfortunately this cleanser just wasn’t one of those cases! I think it really comes down to your skin type. I have sensitive skin and didn’t find this irritating, but more so acne-triggering. The day after using it I noticed bumps on my skin (pore clogging I guess, even though it’s marketed otherwise) and a less supple texture. The reason I rated this 3 stars instead of 1 was because I have actually used this cleanser before and don’t remember having terrible results. It was only after I switched to a (better) cleanser and decided to go back to this for some experimentation that things got worse. Overall though, not too bad for the price and how easy it is to apply. It does its job— my face feels clean and refreshed. But if you’re looking for glass skin, this might not be the right route.

gentle + effective

really helped my skin!!!! i have a 'less is more' mindset when it comes to skincare and this definitely works without feeling too over the top. helped with the oily spots on my forehead and chin :)

Works well on my skin

I brought this just after Christmas and started to use it. Now my skin has changed I had acne almost everywhere now my skin is so smooth. I had a ton of redness and little bumps on my face they aren’t here anymore. I also used the SA smoothing moisturiser and some other acne clearing cream from Thursday plantation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad I looked into cerave! My skin is looking a lot better and family members are commenting on how much clearer my skin is looking! I use this product every day and night, love how gentle it is and I recently was really self conscious about my mild acne but now my forehead spots have reduced and my skin is smoother, I feel comfortable going out without concealer on :) I would recommend this product to early teens who have mild acne.

Gentle but still foams

I love this cleanser, it's one that foams but is still really gentle, which usually I find foaming cleansers stripping. I found that it didn't strip any natural oils, which as someone with dry skin, is very important! It does a good job at removing make up too, although I always double cleanse with an oil cleanser first.

A dream for Rosacea sufferers

I suffer from Rosacea and have struggled to find a daily cleanser which would be mild enough for me. This is it! I love the way it makes my skin feel so clean and fresh without the skin tightening burning sensation I have had with other foaming cleansers. This is now the only face cleanser I use. 10/10

Makes skin so soft

I brought this product about 6 months ago and I love it. If you apply on damp skin it foams and once worked into face it makes your skin so supple and soft! I have tried lots of products and this one is one of my favourites as it is so gentle!

Foaming cleaner - gentle to skin

I really like this foaming cleanser as it works well with my silicone face tool. It has a light-weight texture and leaves the skin feeling fresh and clean. It tackles not just surface products but oils and excess sebum on the skin.
