Very disappointing

i bought this in error. I thought I was buying Anthelios Age Correct. I have tried it for about a week and I don’t like it. It’s very greasy to put on the face, but then feels quick drying - and also it doesn’t absorb so my face feels dirty. I’m also worried by all the other review and so won’t be continuing to use. It’s disappointing but I have liked other products by La Roche and use it as it was recommended by a dermatologist for my very sensitive skin.

Disappointed and ruined my skin barrier

Had a pretty good skin barrier before using this product and had to stop all skin care after to let it heal! This burned my face. It was greasy and hard to spread. Big disappointment!!

Not Worth Trying

I was looking for a sunscreen that was a bit more moisturising than the Anthelios fluid (which I HIGHLY recommend), but unfortunately this was disappointing. It was difficult and uncomfortable to spread, and just when you think it's rubbed in, it starts peeling off. The texture on the skin was unpleasant for an oily skin. It actually felt greasier than most sunscreens. If you're truly an oily skin, you won't enjoy this. I threw it out before finishing the bottle and regretted trying something new.

Avoid at all costs! Regret purchasing!

Caused my otherwise clear skin to breakout. Pills after application and is such a gooey texture it doesn’t feel nice to apply. Leaves my skin looking way more oily and my pores more clogged when I’d bought it because the opposite effect was promised. I usually trust La Roche Posay and like their products but this one was a huge let down and a real waste of money. No where near worth the price point. Would steer clear of it! Wish I had seen more reviews like this before I ended up purchasing this product.

Sticky and peels off

I had high hopes for this product but it's just very sticky, doesn't hydrate the skin at all, and peels off minutes after applying it. Also not suitable for a sensitive skin because it caused my skin to go red and itchy almost immediately

Gets ‘gritty’ and ‘balls’ if you touch your face

This is not good at all. If you touch your face the sunscreen ‘balls’ and gets ‘gritty’ leaving you with what looks like fluff all over your face. Expecting much better from teh brand and price point.

Caused pimples

It is quite ironic for a suns team claiming to be for oily skin to clog pores and cause pimples. I am a loyal La Roche Posay client and but this new product is terrible! Do not recommend for acne prone skin. Felt so oily and actually made me break out. Sadly a waste of money. Had high hopes.

Love this now after a few “tries”

I always use LaRoche Posay 50+ and bought this variation whilst I was on holiday in Italy, when my usual LRP was sliding off my face due to the humidity. I bought this hoping it would stay put - and it did. Other reviews say it’s quite heavy and pills. Initially I did struggle with it as it’s quite a different consistency to my usual 50+ and definitely a matt finish. I now prefer it as it has a rosy colour to it and does provide some light concealing for my hyperpigmentation. It also sits well between my moisturiser and foundation as long as I leave the moisturiser “layer” to absorb and settle. It will be my summer go to, and I’ll likely defer back to my usual 50+ once the weather cools again in autumn.

Such a bad purchase

It is so expensive and totally useless, it is peeling while you applying it. Tried a few times but had to wash my face off as the peeling cream was too visible

Disappointed..

I so wanted to like this, as I love their usual SPF. This peeled off my face and felt so greasy the rest of the day. I tried it after moisturiser and also before, as well as in place or moisturiser. Each time, the same thing happened. I had to throw it away.

Great protection

I love the matte finish, if you’re tired of the dewy finish trend and looking for a real matte sunscreen this is a must-try. My only concern is to know what is the PPD. Also would be great a total mineral tinted spf version of this.

Disappointed with this one..

I'm a big fan of all the La Roche Posay range but this cream is the only one that I have found fault with. It's quite a thick consistency and then dries into a powder on face after 5 mins or so. I had to remove it and apply other spf instead..

Not very happy with it

I just bought it mainly due to my trust to the brand and because the girl in the pharmacy suggsted it for my skin ...I didnt like it. I have combination acne prone skin It feels very sticky, thick and I had trouble applying it.....and it really peels of.....At first I was a little sceptical about buying it because I thought 50 ml is too little but now I feel happy about t because it will be over soon........

Pills up

I'm disappointed to have wasted €16 on this suncream and immediately to have to throw it away. I normally use the Invisible Fluid and love it, but it was sold out, so I opted for this instead. Immediately one can see it is a bit tinted, despite no mention of tint on the packaging. Application is okay with some mild stinging that doesn't stop for a while. Then after a couple of minutes if you touch your skin it feels greasy and the suncream pills up really badly, I had to wash it off after 25mins of wear.

Love it!!

Love it!! Leaves a lovely finish on my combination skin (i'm more normal-combination with a combination t zone however so can't comment on whether this would suit people with oilier skins). Sits so well under makeup- this is my every day sunblock from now on! :) Thank you LRP! :) X

Don’t buy it.

I bought it because my skin is mixed oil and dry and when I started to use this product my skin is oily because it is very oily. It doesn’t control the oil, it give oil in your face. I love product from this brand but that one was the only one I didn’t like.

A new favourite sunscreen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Anthlios sunscreens for over 7 years. As someone with a very oily t-zone, i was excited to try this product to see how it compares to the Ultra Light invisible fluide that I usually use. I love this sunscreen. It's not dry or heavy. It didnt leave a white or grey cast on my skin. It took only slightly longer to sink in than my usual LRP sunscreen. My t-zone didnt get oily for a number of hours. I have not worn this under foundatio , so cannot say how it will wear. However, it held up well under some liquid blush and a light dusting of setting powder. My face and décolleté were well protected. even when i did not get chance to reapply, there was no reddening of my chest, which is usually the first place to become sun sensitive. No breakouts wearing this, and didn't cling to drier patches of skin. Would 100% recommend

Really effective product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is really effective. My skin is older and quite dry so I asked my daughter in law, who is 30, to try it as well. We both really loved it. I used it after my moisturiser and it felt soft and luxurious. It does exactly as described. It truly does go matte and stay that way. My daughter in law used it without moisturiser and said it felt greasy for an instant. She was then very pleased at how it made her oily skin matte. Two fans here.

Matt effect is not long lasting

Nice texture but stings my eyes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the texture and feeling on the skin right after the application. However, less than an hour later my eyes became watery and a bit stingy. I'm now using it up on my neck and hands. My skin stays dry and not oily for a long time, so it's a shame there's something that irritates my eyes. I found out, that some of the LRP suncreams do that. Not all of them, so maybe I need to do some deeper ingredients check.

Lovely texture and fragrance

Great sunscreen under makeup

Lovely all round sunscreen

Not my favourite

This spf was recommended to me by one of the laroche-posay experts. Honestly, I don’t particularly like it. I have combination skin and whilst it’s fine for the oily areas, I feel like it’s a bit drying on the rest of my face (especially after all the other products I use which are aimed to help with my oily skin). I think it would be good for wearing under foundation, but not for someone like me who wears makeup about twice a year and wants just a general daily sunscreen.

A good summer product

An effective spf

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an effective SPF which has become my daily moisturiser/SPF. It is factor 50 which is essential in keeping my skin healthy. I love the texture - it is smooth and silky, but not sticky or too thick. The only downside to this is that it can sometimes pill and rub off when applying other products afterwards. This seems to be worse when it is left to dry first, so I have been applying make up straight away.

My staple sunscreen that corrects and protects

The inclusion of salicylic acid along with the right protection and a matte finish is all combined into one great formula. It has definitely helped my skin look better and feel better. I suffer from acne and this really helps hide any imperfections while also protecting from the sun. When you first apply it might feel like it has a slight tint but actually blends within a few seconds perfectly.

Oil correct or how to look more oily?

Feels great on the skin, no white cast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Feels nice on the skin and l doesn't have any white cast. It dries down quickly and leaves skin feeling great. I would have given this 5 stars, but I had to mark it down a star because it's very prone to skin pilling. You have to be quick with application and avoid rubbing your skin because otherwise the product will transfer back onto your fingers and leave tiny particles on your skin. I'd suggest patting it onto your skin.

Mattifying sun screen

I was eating my words pretty soon after application. Definitely one of those dry oil-like products, where it doesn't quite feel oily, nor dry. I wouldn't repurchase this, as I prefer another LRP sunscreen, but I imagine this would be quite nice for someone on the drier side.

Refreshing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the smell of this cream When I put it on. It smells really fresh with a slight fragrance I have smelt before but can’t place it. It glides on really well and is great even for dry patches on the skin. You don’t have to put a lot on either. I normally put a moisturiser and then put this cream on as it has a high spf. However I sometimes forego the moisturiser as this cream is so rich. I really like it it keeps my skin hydrated and glowing. But the best part is that considering I have sensitive skin, it doesn’t irritate it at all.

Corrects and protects

Although not trued with the sun which has been hiding, this oil is fabulous at correcting imperfections, and contains the tried and tested sun protection. Not only improves the appearance of my skin, but protects it from harmful rays also.

Hydrating yet Matt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a full bodied texture that absurd quickly into the skin and does not leave a white cast. It very hydrating yet leaves my face looking Matt all day. My pores are less visible and my skin looks les textured. I have used it at the face cream, spf and primer stages of my routine.

Great, if you dont mind the texture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasnt sure on the texture. The gel type cream didnt glide across the skin. However once applied I really did like the after feel. Skin didnt have an oily residue and akin fwlt nourished throughout the day.

Don’t be afraid to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon first using this product, it felt like any other sun screen product however after using consecutively i have started to see the benefits. If you apply liberally it applies well, product is thin and therefore don’t be scared to apply a lot and run in. Face feels sticky upon applying but immediately absorbs the product and then feels silky smooth, with great coverage. My skin felt protected and glowed.

Great SPF

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are so many things to love about this SPF; high sun protection level, Salicylic Acid, Niacinamide, combined with the care that La Roche Posay put into all their products. I find the product absorbs well and despite the colour of the product it blends well into my pale skin. The only negative I have found is that it can pill on my skin.

Blends well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Anthelios Oil correct blends well into my skin and my skin feels protected. The colour is a slight tint which blends well in my very pale skin. After several weeks I feel my pores are visibly reduced and would recommend this product.

A daily cream for correction and UV protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used for over a week and find the product provides a good amount of UV protection, it appears non oily and any shine goes after approx 15mins. I found that if you rub the area/skin where applied the product just rolls off. Not a fan of the fragrance either, would be better un-perfumed

Multi purpose cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this, it is very unusual to get a product with a high factor sunscreen that you can use UNDER foundation. It goes on really smoothly and is non greasy. I love the fact you can use it on top of moisturiser as well. My only minor niggle is that I have no idea how often to apply if I am using as a sunscreen and no foundation ie how long the factor 50 will work during the day.

Does the Job!

Your skin and face look shiny

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this gel/cream for a few days and on the positive side, it is easy to apply and very smooth. It disappears into your skin but has a slight oily feel to the touch. I am of Indian origin so my face did look a bit shiny afterwards. I use this cream as some areas of my skin are hyperpigmented so time will tell if this product is effective in reducing the discolouration.I am also not certain how long the sun protection lasts for so if you happen to be on the beach during your summer hols, you will need to reapply.

Good SPF with Matt finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that it is SPF50 for my sun sensitive skin and it does give a matt effect to the skin but I find it quite claggy to apply. Have found that patting it on is better than smoothing on. Skin is left feeling soft.

Another great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy application and you don’t need to use too much. It doesn’t completely strip my face of oil which I prefer and it leaves a nice, smooth texture on my skin. It’s a great base for make up and is now part of my daily routine.

Instantly mattifying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Instant mattifying effect, a little goes a long way and takes a while to sink in otherwise it can pill a bit. Make up sits beautifully on top. Lightly coloured and scented but not overpowering and no reaction from my sensitive skin. Pores appear slightly reduced.

Great for a summer holiday

Piles….unfortunately

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sunscreen has some good characteristics. It really controls the appearance of pores and evens out the skin texture and colour. It sites well on the skin and does control the oil. However, it piles immediately when you touch the skin removing the oil control film. I’m unsure if the product controls oil or just keeps it under the film - as I noticed areas when I touched my skin seem to be oilier than normal. I couldn’t reapply due to the film piling. I think this product did not agree with my skin but I wouldn’t say not to try it

My ideal Sun protection product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved this Sun pretection oil. I have very photo sensitive dry skin but with a few adult acne spots I also burn easily. Ive used this tree times and love it, feels nice on skin, factor 50 ideal. It doesnt make my skin look greasy too, which is great. Im going to use this regularly before my skin products/Makeup.

Great skin care sunscreen

Great daily high sun protection

Super Matt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quite a dry feeling liquid, doesn't spread very well, however this aids in working out which areas have had the Anthelios Oil Correct applied to. After a whole day walking in the sun my skin was still oil free and I feel protected against the sun with the 50 SPF.

A nice matt finish, which wasn't too drying

I wasn't disappointed, and I was pleased that it did not feel drying on my skin either, which oil control products would normally do (my skin is fairly normal/sensitive).

Oil correct sunscreen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately this product is not for me. Some sunscreens create a shiny look, which I hoped this one would prevent, by creating a more Matt appearance. On first application, it did drag a little and didn’t sit nicely on my skin. I didn’t try foundation on top, as I had a freely it may pill. On reflection, I think this would be more suitable for an oily skin.

Great for daily use on oily skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is for my teenage son who has oily skin that is prone to spots. He is also very fair skinned and works outside so needs a high factor sunscreen. He had previously been using an anthelios anti shine which worked well but this oil correct version is just made for him! It soaks in well, is completely invisible, stops the freckles and most importantly, doesn’t cause his skin to breakout. It does have a slight smell (of watermelon apparently) but that causes no complaints.

Lovely product

A great make up base

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the texture of this, and find it did control shine really well. I got no white cast, and love that it's SPF 50. It's also a great handbag/pocket size, and the dispenser lets out the right amount. It does't feel like it builds up uncomfortably on my skin when I reapply during the day.
