I am very happy with this product! The texture is light and absorbs quickly into the skin. After using it regularly, I noticed my skin looks smoother, brighter, and more even. I just love it

I am in love with this retinol serum. It showed results from the very first application—my skin feels so good and soft. Even my coworker complimented me, saying my skin looks great. I never had this feeling with other retinol serums. I previously used The Ordinary retinol serum, but I didn’t notice any improvement and experienced a lot of irritation. I don't recommend this product. It made my sun spots worse and new ones appeared even though I followed the instructions: only at night and using spf 50 sunscreen during the day. I usually love la roche posay products but was very upset with this one, not only I spent a lot of money on it but it made my issue worse! So now I have to spend more money to try to fix what it did. Very unhappy and I think it is frankly false and misleading advertising.

Hydrating and gentle serum

It’s very effective in reducing lines and brightening skin without the typical irritation of retinol thanks to the B3 niacinamide. Very light weight quick absorption. Excellent product

This anti-aging face serum it’s an excellent product. First time using it and it won’t be the last it doesn’t irritate my skin and I’ve noticed a difference in my skin texture within a week and a half, with increased smoothness, and a more even, radiant tone after consistent, nightly use. I think for the price that you pay for it is an excellent product. I found it to be super effective, non-irritating, and just great to use.

It burnt my face:-(

I have been using other LaRoche product lines and had no issues. After using this Retinol B3 product my skin was burnt and it stings on my face. Hyperpigmentation because of the burn darkens my face. I wished it worked for me like the other reviewer had good experience with it. :-(

Nice texture. Dropper is not ideal

It’s the first retinol I ever use. I was concerned about irritation but there was none. Too early to see if it’s working as it’s been two weeks only since I started. I really don’t like the dropper design though. Hard to get it to fill up and harder to apply properly. I wish the design is better. Light tester though and super quick to dry

Worse skin reaction ever

I’m extremely disappointed with this product. I used it once, applying only two drops as recommended since I know it’s best to start slow with retinol. Despite that, I woke up the next morning with my face covered in spots. I waited four days, hoping it would calm down if I avoided putting anything on my skin, but the spots just kept getting worse. Eventually, I had to go to the pharmacy, where I was prescribed soothing gels and antihistamines. I understand some purging can happen, but this reaction seems extreme. My skin looks worse than ever, and it feels irritated and uncomfortable. I have had spot since puberty, and even then i barely had. I was really hoping for better results, but this experience has been awful.

Burned my fave

Pleased that I bought this

Love this. My skin is looking better and fine lines are less prominent. Blackheads have disappeared. You need to apply moisturiser overnight over this as it dries out the skin without it. I use it every other night to get my skin used to it. I would definitely buy this again.

Great for ageing skin

Since using this serum I have noticed less fine lines and wrinkles. My skin is more hydrated giving it a dewy finish, and it feels so much smoother too. This is a concentrated serum high in vitamin B3 , and the gradual release of retinol helps to stimulate collagen production which helps to make my complexion healthier and more radiant.

Pros and Cons

The product in and of itself is good and worked well with my sensitive skin. However, my one complaint is the packaging. The glass bottle this serum (and other La Roche Posay products) is contained in, what I can only assume, is painted glass. I have noticed that it can chip and then mix into the product. It makes me hesitant to purchase again because the tiny little paint(?) specs get stuck to skin/face which is obviously not ideal. It's unfortunate because I like the formula of the product.

Compliment getter

First time using any sort of retinol. Prior to this product I only ever used Niacinamide + zinc serum and a different moisturiser for the day and night after a CeraVe cleanser for my oily skin. It worked really well but after adding this product to my night-time routine (remove the niacinamide + zinc) I’ve been getting random compliments from people like my barber who sees me every 2-3 weeks and even from my Mum! They’ve definitely noticed the difference more than I have. I initially started using this every night (3 drops on the face and neck and any leftover on back of hands) but found it caused some dryness on my face which very quickly disappeared once I reduced the frequency to once every two to three days and worked it back up to every day. This is a really good starter retinol product @ 0.3% strength with niacinamide but it’s getting rather expensive lately. However I found one bottle has lasted me maybe 5-6 months if not more so if you can get it for a good price the value is excellent

I have cried many times over this product and sadly they are not tears of joy. When I tell you this retinol completely ruined my skin I mean it. About 4 months ago I had pretty clear skin apart from a few breakouts and hyperpigmentation. I thought I would be responsible and start using retinol since I am in my 20s. I know how strong this product is so I was very careful and only used it 2-3 times a week with a cleanser and moisturiser that complimented it. As soon as I started using it my skin was breaking out like crazy. I thought I was just purging but after 4-ish months I realised I ruined my face. My skin is now flaky and textured, I have a lot of acne around my cheeks and head that won't go away and my face flares up constantly. I'm not even mad anymore. I'm just so devastated. I'm booking a dermatologist appointment for next week. I would do anything to go back and prevent myself from buying this product. I want my old skin back.

My skin pealing off

I bought this product one week ago. I was so excited to try it. I used it once and the second time 2 days after my checks are so red and itchy. My skin started pealing off. Looks like burn skin. Cela fait au moins 8 semaines que j'utilise le produit chaque soir. Je commence à voir un effet au niveau du grain de peau plus affiné et les pores ont rétricis. Je suis consciente qu'il est long avant de voir un effet significatif avec ce produit. J'ai une peau sensible et réactive et ma peau toléré très bien le produit. J'ai hâte de voir les résultats dans 4 semaines. J'ai 43 ans et ma peau a été exposé à beaucoup de soleil car je travaille en agronomie. Donc un peu de dommages prématurés.

Painful Contact dermatitis

I’m aware that this is a beloved product but unfortunately it did not work for me. I bought this back in January and for the first month started using it every 3 days and just recently moved it up to every 2 days. I got contact dermatitis on my eyes and necks. The first day my eyes were swollen and covered in scaly bumps, and my neck was covered in scaly bumps, I’m finally now at the point where everything is peeling which is actually super relieving. But all that to say that it just didn’t work for me even tho I followed the instructions and made sure not o put it on my eyes it still moved around. But I’m a stubborn person and this product is cray expensive so I’m going to try again lol😭💀.
