I didn't want the tinted version so bought this product. But it's also tinted, despite not being labelled as such. on my pink, freckly skin, it looks yellow and needs lots of blending in, especially on my neck. such a shame, and surely breaking product labelling guidance.

The pump has become useless

This is a great Sunscreen and good for my sensitive eyes. However, I cant actually get it out of the tube. I have read and heard that i am not the only one.

Bad reaction

This was recommended to me but unfortunately had a massive allergic reaction it took me 6 weeks to get my face back to some normality.. still hasn’t recovered fully after 3 months

Great for sensitive skin

A very hydrating, long lasting sunscreen. I have sensitive skin and this cream was great, no flare ups. Extremely water and sweat resistant, it didn't sting my eyes either which some creams do. I like how it has a high uva/ uvb rating. Very good quality, glides on the skin.

Great for sensitive skin

This cream is very good quality. It is easy to appky, and absorbs well. It didn't make my eyes sting like other suncream brands do, and it is water proof, and is long lasting.

Handy size

One of the best sun protections I’ve used. Works well on my blemish prone skin and doesn’t cause me to breakout. This is a great size for putting in your bag for reapplying throughout the day.

Achieving a light tint

This product suits my skin but I prefer one with a light tint. The tinted version is too dark for me so I mix 50:50. Seems to work well. High initial outlay but obviously lasts twice as long.

How to remove cream tonight?

Perfect for aging skin

I spend a lot of time sailing in hot climates with glare as well as direct sun. This sunscreen protects my face and keeps it moisturised without being greasy. It doesn't irritate my skin and has a neutral smell. I use it at home in the winter as well, it is my go to daytime moisturiser.

Sadly had to throw it away

I absolutely loved the sun cream itself the two times I used it, it felt really hydrating. But sadly the pump got stuck after just two uses and I ended up having to throw away the whole rest of the product. It was such a shame for a high end product to break so easily and it’s sadly put me off trying it again.

I've used a few different sunscreens and this one is my favourite - it's lightweight, doesn't irritate my eyes and doesn't leave a white caste. Not the biggest fan of the pump but great sunscreen for my sensitive skin :)

Dry sensitive skin, one of the best sunscreens

One of the best sunscreens I've ever used. Most sunscreens (even from other dermatological brands that claim to target at sensitive skins) cause many little bumps on my face after application, but this one doesn't. It doesn't change my skin tone, doesn't have a weird shine, and doesn't cause the skin to feel too dry, which many other sunscreens do on me. Actually only tried this product after seeing recommendations from several dermatologists (my facial skin is sensitive to too many products so normally don't like to try out new products), and realised it really is worth all the recommendations. Have been recommending this product to friends and online. The sunscreen spray was also the best sunscreen spray I've ever used, didn't cause irritations. The only problem is I have dry skin, while the boots I went to only had the one for oily skin. Hope boots has the spray for dry skin soon. The only question I have is that this product doesn't say PA on the package.

Excellent features

It's lightweight, breathable, non-greasy, absorbs very quickly without leaving any white cast or a sticky film on my skin. It can serve as a perfect base for make-up, without pilling. I like its milky texture. My skin is sensitive and some sunscreens tend to cause irritation and sting my eyes but this one is absolutely different. It's suitable for my sensitive skin and is non-comedonic. It protects my skin and moisturisers it at the same time so I don't use any other moisturiser with it.

I have struggled from SPF's breaking me out and have been constantly on the hunt for one that works with my skin, and let me just say, this formula is a game changer! Great Facial Sunscreen

My go to product now for facial sunscreen since i tried this product last summer. The cream This SPF face cream has a lovely consistency and blends into the face well, leaving the skin feeling hydrated and protected. Loved this product while on holiday, as it does not cause my eyes to sting when swimiming or from perspiration during the day when out and about exploring. Convenient size to fit into a pocket of bag for top ups during the day. Did not cause any breakouts, which i have experinced with other brands. highly recommended

Not for sensitive skin

I bought this today and I was so excited but luckily I did a patch test first, so I put some of the product behind my ear and about 30 seconds after it made my skin itch and then I noticed red bumps appearing which is ho I know I’m having a reaction. Also I am 14. It was also so expensive just to find out I’m allergic is there any way I can get a refund?

Long term user

I have been using this sunscreen for a fair while. Previously lived in Queensland, Australia and used it religiously when outside. Very moisturising but not oily. Not too watery. Usually apply 2 layers. Skin feels very soothed and looks good at end of day as it seems to help against car air conditioning, wind etc. ie. Seems to soothe my rosacea.

Great high factor sunscreen for your face

I love this and have converted others. Great high protection face cream which really suits me as a ginger haired person with freckles! Is non-greasy and is easy to apply and comfortable to wear. Would recommend highly.

Love the pump and high protection

The pump measurement is ideal, I love the fact that I know that 11 pumps is half a teaspoon of product - I measured it! This means I can apply it pump by pump to the different areas of my face and neck. The new filter gives me massive confidence for the anti ageing - I prefer to use this range over any other spf because of the long uva protection. We just desperately need a body formula in this range to give long uva protection on the body.

Great product, poor delivery system

I love this sun cream, goes on smoothly and absorbs well, the only problem is the pump action of the bottle. I could never get it come out properly and had to cut the top off the bottle. I would prefer it in a normal squeezy bottle next time.

Customer care silence

I purchased several tubes of this cream after reading good reviews. I have very sensitive skin and to my disappointment my skin reacted badly to this formula. My eyes stung and watered really badly and my nose/mouth area became red, raw and very sore. I sent several contact forms to ask for advice and no one replied to me. I have two unopened tubes as I can’t t use them on my body as the cream marks on white clothes. So disappointed that I cannot use this but feel a sun care brand could at least reply to messages asking for advice. My white blouse was ruined in one day wearing this cream

BEWARE: Perfume now added!!!!

I've been using this Anthelios SOF 50+ face cream daily for over 12 years. I've just received my new tube and it is heavily perfumed! I have sensitive skin so avoid perfumed facial products. The scent is overwhelming and within minutes I've got that uncomfortable irritated feeling. I've compared the packaging of my old tube and this new one and sure enough the new one no longer states 'non-perfumed' as you will also see from the pictures on this product page. It is upsetting that the product description on this page STILL states that no perfume is used which is clearly deception.

Don't fix what's not broken!

I loved the previous version of this sunscreen as a rosacea sufferer with sensitive skin. This one has more alcohol and stings my face every time I apply it. My skin also became sensitive to other products because of how irritating this is. Not to mention that with using the appropriate amount after a reapplication I look like I rubbed baby oil on my face. Please make something with less alcohol and fragrance free for rosacea sufferers. THIS IS NOT SENSITIVE SKIN FRIENDLY!

Yellow tint/causes itch

I really wish they wouldn't have reformulated this product. The last version was great. This version leaves my skin slightly yellow--a tiny bit sickly looking. If you have fair skin, it's more likely to show up on you. I've also noticed itching and redness with this product when I never had that issue with the earlier version. Why did you reformulate a great product, LRP???

Great Sunscreen which is effective and works great

Best for really dry skin or when you don’t want a extra moisturiser

However, with my normal routine this was still a tad bit too thick for me. I made it work with either mixing it with the shaka fluid/ using this on my cheeks and the invisifluid on my t-zone or when I just omitted a moisturiser in my routine. That way it still wore well under my make up without pilling. I think for people who are really dry it will be great as I‘ve had no issues on my cheeks.

Dependable, moisturising sunscreen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This suncreen is very aptly labelled, hydrating! It pretty much goes without saying that your skin is going to be extremely well protected against the sun with any La Roche Posay sun protection product, so I'm going to focus my review on the experience of using it. Again, as labelled, its definitely hydrating and moisturising! If applied over a moisturiser, almost too much so, but used in place of one, it's definitely more enjoyable to wear. A slight white cast is evident when first applied but sinks in after a minute or two (my skin is fairly pale) Eyes didn't sting when rubbed, unlike many other sunscreens. My only issues with this product were that is ever so slightly clung to my facial hair and took a good bit of effort to rub in. Also left a slight "chalky" feeling on the skin a couple hours after application. Good for dry skin, great sun protection, but for men with facial hair, not without it's flaws.

Great stuff

This stuff works!

It actually moisturies really well too. My only thing that I dont like is the oump action mechanism is quite difficult to use. High uv protection

Great moisturiser with SPF

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this hydrating cream on my face every day for 6 months last year and will do the same this year - it was my skin’s saviour from the damaging effects of the sun. It doesn’t leave your skin looking pale like some other high spf creams and doesn’t have a typical sun cream smell to it either. I love it.

Amazing product

Lovely cream sunscreen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Luxurious, moisturising cream which sinks in well, though I'm not sure how well it would sit under make-up. Packaging is OK, but I wish LRP would use an alternative material to plastic. I doubt the pump is recyclable.

Love this cream!

Great sunscreen for pale skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used la Roche Posay sunscreen for years and I don’t plan on stopping they are the only factor 50+ that I use on myself and family. I’m very pale and burn easily so a high factor is a must for me and I also use it on my children in the summer. This cream is thicker than others in the range but absorbs easily and doesn’t leave a white residue. Great sunscreen!

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another great spf product with a high protection. I started using spf 5 years ago and definitely a game changer. This product has a thick consistency and great overall. I’m currently on retinol and it’s made my skin extremely sensitive and I noticed that when I used this after my moisturiser it stung my skin. I’ve used this product before and never had that issue so I’m guessing it’s my current skin sensitivity.

A great hydrating sunscreen with very high UV protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried previous versions of Anthelios 50+ creams and loved them. This new UVMune400 is even better, easily absorbed , doesn't leave me feeling greasy of oily. Great it has "very water and sweat resistant and anti-eye stinging" too. Glad it's also non-perfumed. I apply whenever I go out and its sunny for ultimate protection. Can't wait to try it out at the beach

Perfect formula, wish it would come in a bigger size

Moisturises the skin, the pump is easy to use, doesn't leave any white cast (I have pale skin), leaves the skin non-greasy and non-sticky, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. The only downside is that I wish the product would be in a bigger container, specially knowing that it is recommended to use half a teaspoon of sunscreen each time.

New formula, great reliable protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok I have been a huge fun of the Anthelios imperfections and now the photocorrect sunscreen but having read about the improvements that La Roche Posay was making to its flagship sunscreen I tried this one and it doesn’t disappoint. My worry has always been that sunscreen will make me breakout but this never happened even after multiple applications. It’s perfect for daily wear and if I need a top up I can easily use the invisible fluid one instead. I’ve only used it for a week but can see already that some marks from previous acne are starting to fade out too but most importantly I know this protects me which is all you can ask from a sunscreen.

Hydrating to say the least…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sunscreen is just as the label says…hydrating! I found that my skin became oily if I used this alongside a moisturiser. My skin is pretty normal if not on the dryer side due to prescription retinoid treatment. I found that it stung my skin the day after I had used an exfoliant but it is hardly surprising as my skin was more prone to irritation. This is my skin and those with normal sensitive skin will be different. This product is “fragrance free” so it does have the traditional suncream scent. This doesn’t bother me but I know some people find it offensive. Even though this is a hydrating cream, it seems to have moisture wicking properties. You don’t appear to sweat when using this sunscreen. I found my skin looked best when used instead of a moisturiser on to well hydrated skin. The label makes claims about no stinging of eyes which is true even when I rubbed tired eyes and transferred sunscreen in to my eye.

Great sunscreen moisturiser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this product. I used it as a daily morning moisturiser. It is creamy and absorbed completely into the skin leaving it soft and hydrated. I noticed the shine around my T zone is reduced when I use it.

Hydrating SPF; winner!

First class protection and hydration

Great packing for a fab product! Not just for the holidays!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is so easy to use, not only a tube but a pump too! the cream ais thick smooths in to the skin easily without sticky or greasy residue. It's great for using on a daily basis if you want to protect your skin from damaging UV rays and of course being actor 50 is fantastic for using abroad. I'll be taking this with me when I go to the Caribbean in May and really see what it can do ;)

Staple summer product

Finally a high SPF sunscreen which I can use under makeup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years of trying to find a good quality sunscreen with a high SPF, that I could actually wear under my makeup, I was delighted to have the opportunity to try out the Anthelios UVMune 400 hydrating cream. Upon application, my overly sensitive skin did not flare up whatsoever and I was able to apply my makeup pretty much straight away. Thank you La Roche-posay for another great skin product. This product is great value for money too, unlike lesser quality sunscreens sold by some of the more expensive over-marketed brands.

Appreciate high protection, frustrated by formula

I wish I knew the full ingredients change before ordering. It’s awesome that LRP expanded the UVA sun protection in this, but it shouldn’t be done if they have to increase the alcohol. But that’s exactly what they did. It’s the third ingredient now! I’m worried about harming my skin barrier by applying this multiple times a day, as you’re supposed to with sunscreen. Not an improvement over the old formula. I’ll use the two bottles I ordered and look for something else….
