Cause Skin Inflammation

I bought this product and it caused a severe skin inflammation and irritation (redness, swelling, dermatitis), I immediately stopped using it. As it wasn't cheap, instead of throwing it away I decided to give it to a friend. They started using it and it didn't cause them any reaction, however I got a skin inflammation just because my skin touched theirs. I believe it is not suitable for sensitive skin at all so be cautious.

poor packaging pump does not work

Holy Grail sunscreen

As someone who is 45 suffers from sunspots, is pale skinned and uses tretinoin for anti aging properties this sunscreen is magic! It’s moisturising, soothing and is providing effective spf50 protection. It doesn’t pill under makeup (I use Armani Luminous silk foundation) and gives a beautiful soft matte finish. This has been my holy grail since first released and I hope to god that they never discontinue it!

Heavy, Pills and not suitable under makeup

Nowhere near as good as the liquid sunscreen in the range. It’s heavy and can’t be worn under make up, it pills and clumps

Love this!

I have used a factor 50 for several years now and was recommended this by my daughter. I love it. My skin feels so soft and I use it every day over my face and down to my neckline. It is non-greasy and does not transfer onto clothes. I will definitely carry on using this, year round.

Causes rash

Wanted to try this as I do have good experience previously with Leo but when I applied it to my skin I felt a stinging and my face went all red and rashly.. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product as it is very expensive.

Great product

Absolutely love the La Roche Posay age correct. I use this product all year round and have done for quite a while. After trying many high end products I found that this age correct really does what is says. Also, it doesn’t seem to irritate my sensitive eyes.

Perfect cream, good constituency, rubs in well.

I have been using La Roche-Posay Anthelios Age Protect for a few years and it has done wonders for my skin. It goes on smoothly and it is easy to rub it. It does not irritate my skin like some creams ive previously used. You just need a small amount of it because it is a thick cream. I use it after my cleansing and toning routine in the mornings, it moisturisers and nourishes my dry and sensitive skin. My daily routine is all from the La Roche-Posay range. It is the only products I use

Perfect moisturiser for my sensitive skin.

I have been using this moisturiser for about a year now and wouldn't use anything else. I find it absorbs very easily into my skin and leaves it feeling very supple and well hydrated with the added bonus of having good sun protection. It is very easy to apply make-up on top too. A fabulous product!

Works for me

My rosacea is triggered by sunlight, so I have to wear high-factor SPF all year round (fortunately it's my only trigger, so I really can't complain). As a man in his 50s, I thought this product might help with some anti-ageing skincare at the same time. I've been using it for over a year now and I'm happy. For my skin type, it absorbs well and provides good protection--and if the anti-ageing stuff really helps, that's a nice extra.

The instructions say to use 2 finger lengths, but that left my face like an oil slick. I now use a reduced amount and it’s very good

Burnt my skin

Wanted to like this as love the normal 50+ Antgelios but when I applied it to my skin I felt a stinging and my face went all red. I gave it to my 24-year-old daughter to try and exactly the same thing happened with her and neither of us have got particularly sensitive skin, so I don’t think they have got this formula right?zz

It peels

I purchased this item while I was in Canada. I live in the US and normally purchase the La Roche-Posay Anthelios AOX Daily Antioxidant Serum with Sunscreen SPF 50 at home in the US. I ran out while I was in Toronto. I was told by the sales rep that the two were the same. It's definitely not the same product. It's a waste of money. It peels so in gummy looking tiny balls it's gotten in my eyes. If you buy this, DO NOT wear it under make up. It will ruin your make up. I can't even return this now that I'm back home in the US. It's terrible. I have to trash this and purchase what I normally buy.

Too Greasy

I have used Anthelios uvmune 400 for years and as I have ageing skin and have sun damage on my face I thought I would try the Age Correct. Bad mistake. It sits on the skin, looks greasy and make up does not sit on it at all well. I am very disappointed after reading the reviews. Waste of money as I am using it up on my arms and legs. I will definitely go back to Anthelios uvmune 400.

Don't recommend

I bought this to try because the description sounded amazing. However, I have found that when using it it creates a type of 'scale-like' in the face when it dries (some describe it as 'pilling'). It is unusable, I found that this happens with or without make up, regardless of the amount you apply on your skin. It leaves little white plates/balls on your face, needless to say it is very unflattering and uncomfortable. Shame that such a pricy product has such low performance. I'll be sticking to the ANTHELIOS UVMUNE 400 INVISIBLE FLUID.

I have been using this cream after having a Basal Cell carcinoma removed from my forehead. It was recommended to me by the Skin Clinic where I had the procedure. I have been using it ever since and it definitely seems to be reducing my dark patches and smoothing my wrinkles, as well as giving me protection from the UVA.

Disappointed

I really wanted this to work. I have tried it on after applying on top of a moisturiser, without moisturiser, less amount, without any other product on the skin, etc. It keeps pilling. I have combination skin. Any advice?

HIGH PILLING

I cant even emphasis how badly this product pills. I’ve tried waiting till my skin was dry before I applied my the sunscreen. The first hour is great. After that the product pretty much turns into a pencil eraser and pills. So bad that i ended my getting white flakes all over my black coat. If you intend on wasting your hard-earned money on this product then go for it - else run! You’d rather not wear and SPF than use this one that just doesnt even stay on your face.

Great aat reducing the appearance of fine lines

After having made it through Topical steroid withdrawal, I no longer have sensitive skin. I do however have damage from the healing process and though I now seem to be able to use any La Roche Posay product I wanted something with protection from the sun. I was surprised to find that it really has reduced the lines under my eyes. More significantly than I would have thought. It really leaves my skin looking great.

Got an allergy

Essential SPF

I’ve worked hard on my skin and I’m forever looking for an SPF product that gives a bit extra. I purchased this to try out due to its claims to help with dark spots and wrinkles. Generally the reviews endorsed these claims so I thought I’d give it a try. The product is very pleasant to use and doesn’t cause any irritation. It’s a bit oily/sticky when used with other products but I blot my face with a tissue which sorts out any problems.

I’ve been buying this for awhile. I use it as a daily moisturiser and sunscreen. Also use vitamin c and occasionally hyualoric serum. Lovely feel. My dark spots are visibly reduced. Couldn’t be happier.

Amazing!

This has saved my skin! I already use the effaclar face wash, mild exfoliator and moisturiser which has worked wonders for my combination, acne prone skin (I wouldn’t use anything else now!) but found my skin was dull and dry (although acne free 95% of the time). Wasn’t sure what to do to combat this but this moisturiser has left my skin soft, glowing and softened my wrinkles and fine lines. 100% recommend. These results are after only one week of using and no breakouts so far! It’s a brilliant product!

I’ve been using this sunscreen for about 6 months and if I could give this product 10 stars I would. It glides onto the skin, absorbs quickly and isn’t at all greasy, I just love it. I’ve tried at least 15 different brands of sunscreen for the face but nothing comes close to this La Roche Posay.

Great sunscreen but...

I don't seem to be able to use this sunscreen daily because of the exfoliating ingredient in it, as it caused irritation to my skin when I started using it every day as opposed to every other day. I will say it did do a great job of treating acne because of the LHA in it, which I'm unsure of the percentage, and it's pretty moisturizing without being greasy. I think I'll stick with it but just use it every other day and swap out with my basic LRP sunscreen

I always use SPF daily on my skin because I am prone to getting dark spots after acne. Previously used moisturiser with SPF 30. This one works well on my face after moisturising. Now I have more flexibility in choosing moisturiser now. So glad I split moisturising and protection Into 2 steps.

I had another 50spf from a competitor that was much more expensive but I found my makeup didn't go on right. Tried this and it's perfect, absorbs quickly, my makeup doesn't pile and I get the sunscreen and age protect I was looking for. All at a great price.

This is the best sunscreen for the face that I’ve ever used. It glides in seamlessly and doesn’t leave a film or a white hue. This sunscreen doesn’t interfere with make-up application either so it’s great for everyday use. I 100% recommend this product.

Now an essential

I’ve been using this since it was launched last year - and now wouldn’t be without it. It gives excellent protection but is light and non- greasy. It feels like a moisturiser should (so not like a ‘sunscreen’ heavy feel which is so off putting). I use it in the winter as well as the summer. I find it to be an excellent base for makeup. It’s best to wait a few minutes after applying a serum and then another few minutes before applying make up - I haven’t had any pilling.

Disappointed - pilling alert

Expected more from this product then pilling. Ive tried it several times even on the back of a clean hand and it pils up into little balls. Not pleasant and makes you wonder if your face is protected. I will endeavour to find out how to get a refill.

Pills if you try to apply makeup over it.

I'm not talking heavy makeup, even - just a few dabs of concealer were enough to have to wash the whole lot off and start again. So... completely useless for what I bought it as: a high SPF sunscreen for my face. But quite lovely as a sunscreen for other areas that tend to age faster in sun, such as hands, neck, and upper chest.

Reverses aging

I have always used very high end anti aging skincare such as La Mer and Sisley spending hundreds of pounds on a single product. I believed my skin needed these products as I am 48. I was wrong. My skin just needed nourishment and protection. This product has done more for my skin than anything else I have ever used. I am still surprised at the difference in my skin. I use this alone, not even a serum and my skin has not looked this good for many years. I used to have prophilo treatments to help with skin texture but now I no longer need it. This product does everything for me and has made my skincare routine so quick and easy now. Highly reccomend for aging skin that needs to regain smoothness, firmness, smaller pores and fewer lines.

Smooth and invisible

I ordered this product a few days ago to trial it against the invisible lotion. I agree with the other reviews. This is an excellent moisturiser and sun block. It spreads evenly on the skin and does not feel greasy. The only downside is that it comes in a pump form and from past experiences I know for sure that I am going to lose a huge percentage of cream that is at the base and side walls of the pump container. PLEASE pack this formulation in a jar.

Can’t use around eyes? Not really a face cream!

Thought I’d give a go. Doesn’t make my sensitive skin react up to now, but can’t use around eyes. Really stings the eyes so, how can it be a face sunscreen if you have to avoid the eyes! Bit pointless as last time I checked, the eyes were a part of the face?

Anthelios Age Correct

I have been using this product for 4 months everyday and love it. I have a skin graft on my nose due to skin cancer and have had cancers removed from my top lip. My skin has dark spots which have drastically reduced following the use of this cream. I am going Skiing so have bought actual Factor 50 sun screen as I'm not sure if this product is strong enough for the high altitude UVA etc?

The best on the market

My husband was diagnosed with vitiligo and therefore had a very patchy and uneven skin tone when ever he went into the sun (any season). I brought him this product and “oh my”! It’s been absolutely amazing. His facial skin tone is even, it stops him from burning even in winter and his skin generally looks so much better.

I so wanted to like this, the anti aging sold if for me, unfortunately it doesn’t soak into the skin and ends up just balling and forget about using it with make up as you just get awful caking

My favourite SPF

I bought this after looking for an spf with added skin benefits. It’s a really creamy texture and leaves my skin instantly moisturised and glowing, I initially bought this just for the summer months due to the higher protection but I will be using it all year round rather than switching to an spf30 in the winter. It layers well with makeup and the la Roche vitamin c serum I also use.

Great moisturiser/spf protection - poor bottle!!

I bought this product a couple of months ago (on the advice of The Times Beauty columnist!) and although the product is excellent, I cannot get any more cream out of the bottle as the plunger is no longer working!! There is still some product in the bottle (I can hear it when I shake the bottle) but there it will not come out!!!! I have tried to clear the nozzle but still no luck!! I am loathe to buy another bottle if this problem is going to recur! Can you please advise me as to what I can do to free up the nozzle dispenser so that I can use up all of the product I have paid for?

Amazing product!

I wanted a moisturiser with an spf and after reading the reviews went with this one. It suits my combination skin & doesn’t leave it feeling greasy. What I’m VERY impressed with however, is the way it’s got rid of 95% of the brown spots on the back of my hands! I know it’s not a hand cream, but I didn’t want anymore brown patches, so used this. Absolutely fantastic results! Lines round my eyes have softened as well! Thoroughly recommend this cream

Causes Dry Skin

While I’m sure this product is excellent at protecting the skin against UVB and UVA as well as reducing the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles like so many other La Roche-Posay products, it did little to moisturise my skin. My skin felt dry and started to flake as the day progressed; a similar sensation to leaving the house with no moisturiser on.

A really great product!

A year ago I was instructed by my GP to wear SPF on my face every single day as I have an area of sun damage on my left cheek. I had searched high and low to find the best SPF that doesn't leave a white cast, that doesn't feel oily or greasy, that doesn't react with make up but that feels moisturising. This cream is fantastic. My search is over! Thanks so much. :D

First day of wearing!

This is my first day of wearing this sun protection. I only ever wear spf 50 on my face. I haven’t used this brand before however I’m loving the way it feels on my skin. I’m hoping it won’t break me out as I am prone to break outs. My only concern at the moment is that I cannot see a star rating on the box or bottle. I know from previous sun protection purchases the product can be an spf 50 but only have a 3 out of 5 star protection rating.

Amazing

I am a doctor (G.P) and a skin care junkie. I am very critical about what I put on my face. I love this sunscreen. It is like a moisturizer, sinks in to my skin, and makes it feel soft and hydrated. I actually use it instead of my moisturizer, but over La Roche Posay HA riche, and My skin feels good all day. I use Retin-A so my skin tends to get very dry and dehydrated. I will never stop using this, and I will never stop recommending it to my patients.There is a reason why La Roche Posay is a favourite with doctors, it is rooted in science, and it works.

Truly Innovative skin treatment in a sun protection product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cream is a really luxurious item. The texture is lovely and smooth and, most importantly, non-greasy. I have not tested its efficacy as a sun protection product because there has been no sun but I was initially recommended to use Anthelios by a dermatologist, following the discovery of cancer cells on my skin so I have every reason to trust it. Aside from that it is a lovely moisturiser which I use on my face, neck and hands.

A lovely suncream

Amazing product!

I bought this because I suffer from pigmentation in the summer, big brown blotches, and also redness on my cheeks and, weirdly, nose. I didn’t expect much to be honest but I noticed a difference within 2 days. After a week this had totally cleared up my redness and reduced my pigmentation by about 80%. When I wake up in the morning my skin is clear and even looking, I sometimes don’t even wear foundation any more! It has a nice velvety finish and sits well under makeup. I truly hope they never stop making this because it’s done more for my skin than any skincare product I’ve ever bought!

Great spf

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the texture of this spf. No greasy feel and my makeup was easy to apply afterwards. The cream was light and absorbed well into my skin so it didn't feel like I was wearing a mask which some spfs do make me feel like. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic super face protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was excited to try this product. I like to use a really high protection on my face, as I have fair skin and use actives and retinols. I was concerned about this being too rich for my slightly oily in patches and prone to breakouts skin and it feels very rich when it come out of the pump. But it’s spreads very well onto the skin in a light layer that absorbs easily, doesn’t leave a overly greasy film, is easy to apply make up over and doesn’t leave a white cast. I was really impressed with this. Bit too sun to say whether it’s made a difference about dark spots etc. It will take a full summer to tell for me really to see the difference pigmentation wise. But I like the idea of the protection it offers and prevention rather than a cure.

Great protection that absorbs quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this sunscreen consistently for 5 weeks alongside La Roche possay hydraphase light and it's transformed my skin. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy. I would go as far as saying this is the best face sunscreen I've used. I'm prone to hormonal breakouts but I've seen a noticeable improvement. I've also observed some reduction in forehead wrinkles and my skin feels much softer. Definitely a routine that works for me.

Lasting sun protection

Looking for a multifaceted SPF here it is!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been trying this for the past 3 to 4 weeks and it has been come a new favourite of mine. It’s not as lightweight as a some spfs but it has a smooth consistency texture which doesn't take ages to absorb into the skin, almost like a light moisturiser. I love the fact it doesn't leave a white cast over my skin particularly brown skin. I have oily skin and works perfectly without leaving any greasey residue. I have noticed my dark spots are slightly lighter and less visible when I've used this. A winner and new found favourite in my eyes!
