Purifying Foaming Gel

The Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel cleanser was a bit of a mixed experience for me. On the downside, I found it quite drying on my skin eventhough I am a combo more oily skin, and I personally didn’t enjoy the smell either, it’s not unbearable, just not something I look forward to using. That said, it does lather really well and gives that “super clean” feeling, which works especially well for oily skin types. The good thing is that despite the dryness, it didn’t cause me to break out at all, which is a big plus. In terms of price, I’d say it’s fairly reasonable for a dermatologist-backed brand and the tube lasts a long time, so you do get decent value.

A fantastic PM cleanser for combo skin!

I used to be very nonchalant about face cleanser; I thought all it does is just to cleanse the face so I just used whichever one was on sale but since now I'm in my late 20s, I'm looking for something better from my cleanser. One that's actually formulated for my skin type which is combination sensitive that is both cleansing and also doesn't strip all the natural oils from my skin (because believe me you don't want this to happen as it can make your pores appear larger) and I think this La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Cleansing Gel is an amazing PM (nighttime) cleanser! On days when I do retinol or exfoliating acids, it is a bit drying for AM but overall a fantastic cleanser. It's not heavily fragrances which my sensitive skin loves and the gigantic 400 ml size makes it an amazing and affordable choice!

Lasts forever and works great!

I use their face wash every day and have found it to be gentle and so so effective on my skin. It mitigates breakouts. It does not foam a ton but I only need a little bit to go a long way/so the product lasts forever!

It cleans my face very good! At first, I was using it twice a day but it is really drying so I cut it down to once with a moisturizer after and that made such a difference. Its cleared up my pores and my face isn’t oily by midday.
